An INCREDIBLE newer spot in the heart of old town. I was skeptical because of the location (right in the entertainment district), but sitting at the corner is Estelle's lovely restaurant and rooftop. Went for a date night and would absolutely recommend! The live music was great, the vibes were perfect for a date night or classy girls night out, and the food was delicious. We went during happy hour (which goes until 7 - I love a long/late happy hour) and got 3 drinks, an appetizer (crispy shrimp) their most expensive entree (Mediterranean platter) and a pizza (hot honey and sausage) for under $100. Amazing value for the location and quality! The only food item I tried that I wouldn't recommend was the pizza - just a bit too cheesy and heavy for my personal preference. Estelle is a great place for a cute boozy girls brunch. We sat on the rooftop and they had umbrellas for shade and misters to cool off around the restaurant. They gave us sparklers and there was a live saxophone for the ultimate day party vibe. Very mediocre Sunday brunch on Easter. First, I do not understand why restaurants do not have a way for groups to split a bill. Yes, I get that it can be a hassle for the server. But a lot of restaurants seem to manage it easily and it's also unnecessarily complicated for a group of seven to figure out how much to charge to each card after a couple of mimosas. At the very least, use an app like inKind that lets people split the bill themselves and pay directly. The restaurant space is beautiful - very open and lovely. We tried several different cocktails, which were ok but not amazing. I had the egg kafta wrap, which was unusual but very tasty. My boyfriend had the pesto omelette and said it was one of the most uninteresting things he ever eaten. The service was unbelievably slow. The first round of drinks took forever, then a long delay before the server came back to take our orders. In total, we probably spent about an hour just waiting for drinks, waiting to order, and waiting to pay. It's a restaurant that seems more focused on the scene than the food and service. A completely so-so experience, do not think I will be back anytime soon. read more

This place is cozy. There's literally not a bad seat. Soft pink couches all around. Perfect for Valentine's Day and snuggling up to your partner, though we did see plenty of happy friends. You might think the bad seat would be next to the DJ if you want to hear your companion. But, honestly, the pulse was not blowing out my ear drums but a happy vibe underneath our conversation. We were there at brunch, though, and as my husband pointed out, it was basically a night club. I imagined it would be good luck trying to have an intimate convo at 11 pm - if you would even be trying to do that. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer and the caesar pesto wrap. My husband typically loves his raw fish and this did not disappoint. I loved the passion fruit mojito mocktail, not on the menu, that the sweet waitress had asked the bartender to handcraft for me. I would come back for that, but not for the wrap because, while the ingredients were crisp and fresh, I struggled to find the chicken, which was the only flavorful ingredient, and I could not taste pesto at all. That absolutely did not make me not want to come back. I'll just try something else. I spied a burger with shoestring fries at another table that looked solid. One thing that was so sweet was that someone was having a birthday and, instead of yelling some annoying song, a few servers showed up with big sparklers and big smiles. It took a long time to get both drinks and food, and it was honestly quicker to just go straight to the bar. Mediterranean flair with a hip modern vibe. This is a fun Friday night evening in old town type of vibe. Sitting on the rooftop my girls and I enjoyed the views, DJ, and nightlife scene. Our waitress Izzy was a whole vibe. Very attentive, friendly and on it. We ordered appetizers and a salad and a pizza. My friends weren't too into the appetizers, but I did enjoy my pizza. The prize point for Scottsdale is great. They have an extensive drink menu over food menu, which is kind of limited. I can say I would definitely return do a girls night or date night here, but I do feel the food could've improved and maybe more options. My recommendation since it's in the actual night scene of Scottsdale is to Uber as parking is like your typical parking for the area which can be hard to find. read more

Estelle will definitely be a go-to from now on! We visit Arizona frequently and are always looking for new places. I'm sometimes cautious of highly curated, Instagrammable spots because, while they're aesthetically charming, the food and drinks don't always live up to the presentation. However, Estelle is Instagrammable and the food + drinks were a hit. We had a group of seven go for their Golden Hour, so we got to try quite a few of their signature cocktails. I had the tomato-tini and the sunseeker - both were flavorful and unique cocktails that you wouldn't find on an average menu and I would definitely order them again. Several of our group got the Hugette Spritz which was refreshing and perfect to have on a warm sunny on the rooftop. We all shared the dirty martini dip which was delicious and had the perfect amount of flavor without being too overpowering. Of course I wouldn't recommend this to any olive haters. The queso fundido was good and the crostini was perfectly toasted for both of the appetizers. We had a birthday in the group, which Estelle celebrated with a delicious birthday shot (definitely one of the best shots I've had) and a fun sparkler! Our service was great, we were well taken care of and on top of everything we got to enjoy fun time with friends on a super cute rooftop in Scottsdale. I highly recommend Estelle! read more

Came here the other night, just by chance. The food was absolutely delicious. Probably the best that I had during my visit around the greater Phoenix area. But the service is terrible, the waitresses barely make eye contact and instead of providing good service they prance around in their little outfits thinking it's a fashion show. We got one water refill, drinks and apps took 40 minutes. A waitress dropped bread off our plate from the martini dip, looked us straight in the eye and didn't offer to bring or more or apologize. We are part of the 50+ crowd and really enjoyed this spot that primarily caters to a younger (and hip) crowd. Great EDM, and even though it was loud, you could still hear the people at your table. Went for saturday lunch during their "sun club" and it didn't disappoint! Music and ambience was a 10/10, great atmosphere. They we're accommodating when we asked to be seated in the shade which was so nice. They also split our bill 5 ways with no hassle which was amazing. As far as the food and drinks go it's great. I got the pesto chicken salad wrap that was so delicious, the birria & pizza weren't eaten by me but my friends said it was worth going again. I'm very saddened to write this review because the food was some of the best I've ever had. We ordered multiple appetizers and entrees, and everything was fantastic. Unfortunately, the service ensures I won't return. We had a reservation for a birthday dinner, and the restaurant was nearly empty. After our food arrived, we barely saw our server. Once we finished eating, we waited over 10 minutes for her to come back to ask about dessert or drinks. I eventually had to walk to the host stand for help, only for the host to take a phone call and walk away. When I returned to the table, our server was there--but without any apology or offer for dessert or another round of drinks, which we wanted. The inside was dark making it impossible to see the menu (my age is showing), the house music was loud, and multiple TVs played a short run of repeated images that were intended to enhance the vibe. The dirty martini dip was a bit bland but we are doing to try to recreate it at home with more salt and some garlic. The burrata was well presented with arugula and toast. The ahi tostadas were crisp and fresh. The best dish was the pasta with vodka sauce. The seating was weird with 3 of us placed at a table with room for 2. I think that this might have been the type of place I would have gone in my 30s, but have probably aged out now that I am in my 50s. Extremely bad experience. Table of 6 and we sat downstairs. Took forever for a server to even come bring water and take our drink order. 30 minutes later someone else came and took our food order. Food took at least 30 minutes to come out and they brought 3 people's food. 10 minutes later one more order came out. The order was supposed to be the Caesar wrap but they brought the salad (the wrap was ordered with extra lettuce and they brought the salad and said Caesar salad with extra lettuce, not sure how they confused that but okay) took it back and immediately brought out a wrap, put it in front of me the asked if it was ordered with modifications which it was so he took that one back. 10 minutes later the other 2 dishes came out, by this point the first 3 people finished their food. Next two people finished their food and still no wrap and no sign of our original waiter or the one who took our order. Went to the hostess and asked them to have our waiter bring the bill and remove the wrap. Had to ask for the bill again from someone else. The wrap then came out and I told him I didn't want it just the bill. Another table of 3 people were seated after our first 3 dishes came out. They ordered, and got their drinks and food all before the wrap finally came out. Waitress said they removed the wrap. She brought the bill and I had my credit card in my hand and she reached and tried to take my card without giving me the bill. I pulled it away and took the bill. The wrap was still on the bill. They added a salad to the bill (which no one ordered) and put a "kitchen issue" credit for it. I can understand mistakes especially when busy, but that was plain ignorant and careless service. read more

Stopped in for a little girls dinner tonight and I have to say this place is such a vibe! Whether you're coming in for a cute date night or just a friends night out, the atmosphere fits. The DJ plays more of house music vibes which I love because you can actually hear yourself talking to the people you're with. For starters we tried the sweet corn hummus, crispy shrimp and ahi tuna tostadas, which all executed such delicious flavors! For entrees we tried the beef kabob which was yummy. The Fig pig pizza was enjoyable but a thinner crust would've complimented the toppings better. It was definitely a little too thick for our liking.
