The…read moreconvention hall is 3-4 subway stops from Madrid's international airport, which was perfect since it was on the way to the center of town. A cab from IFEMA was about 15 min to the center of town, and I think the fare was about 12€ (don't quote me on that price). Overall, I found my experience to be pretty positive. The convention hall is very large (at least 3 HUGE pavilions), very spacious, and clean. The organizers of the made a pretty well-oiled bib pick up process.

There is an elevator from street level to the ticketing concourse and a second elevator from the ticketing concourse to each of the two side platforms. They have also installed escalators between the two levels. On the ticketing concourse, the usual automated ticket vending machines and turnstiles. I did not see a staffer available to help (though I did not need help). On the platform, there are a few seats but not many. There is also a visible display indicating how long until the next train is due to arrive in either direction. The station is clean and modern. There was no trash and no graffiti.
