I purchased the tickets online since the company offered a discount for doing so. THIS WAS A MISTAKE! I started searching for a bus stop for City Tours that was close to my hotel. I downloaded the App for CityTours at their recommendation, and I also used the official website to try to navigate. After over an hour of searching and trying to use the official app and website to find the closest bus stop, my travel companion and I were exhausted and lost. The signs for the CityTours stop were not clearly labeled. We ended up missing a planned for tour because we spent so much time looking for where to get on the bus, and after all that we never found it. I did reach out to the company via email to request a refund and was denied because they said their policy was to only issue refunds to up to the day before your travel with them. This would have been impossible for me since I purchased the tickets online the day of. They also stated that I should have used their official App or website to find the bus stop or that I should have called them. I did use BOTH the App and website and they were next to useless. I honestly don't think calling would have helped since the bus stops were not well indicated with signage. I will give them the credit that at least they did bother to reply to my email. If you do use this company please wait to purchase your tickets until you know that you can find the bus stop you want. But I would recommend going with a different bus company.

I highly recommend this if you are interested in a streamlined visit to the Prado really highlighting and focusing on particular noteworthy works. This worked well for me because I'm not as familiar with some of the artists whose work are showcased here, and I learned A LOT by taking this tour. You also stop for a little tapa and vermouth before having lunch at Botin, which was quite an experience. It's a tough reservation to get on your own, and enjoying it as part of this tour is well worth it. The second tour I did was the Ultimate Spanish Cuisine tour. This tour stopped at a variety of locations. We sampled porra (basically thick churros) and chocolate, "pregnant" sourdough buns stuffed with chorizo, a variety of olives, vermouth, boquerones, olive oil, several hams, some fruit, a cheese selection with wine pairing, and cake. It was a delicious and well-rounded food experience. Montse was my guide for both of these tours and she is absolutely fantastic! After meeting her on the first tour, I told her I was taking another tour and her office was able to schedule her to be my tour guide again for the second one. She actually studied art so she was extra knowledgeable at the Prado, but also had so much to share about Madrid and answered so many of our questions. I'm so glad I booked these tours with Devour on my trip. I would definitely consider their tours for other cities I visit in the future as well.

I would recommend doing this tour on your first day/afternoon in Madrid so you can get acclimated to the city and see some of the main sites. Our guide, Fran, was knowledgeable, personable, and animated. The background he provided at each of the sites was interesting and helped us learn more about Madrid and Spanish history. He also had great tips and recommendations for where to go in Madrid. The tour was about 10-15 people I'd say. It was a good size to command enough attention to safely drive on the road in a lane but have everyone stay together. They provided a water bottle, helmet, bike. Fran even took us to a special "surprise stop" at the end (churros!). With the E-bike, you could adjust the assistance and you still pedaled to make the assist go, but it was a good choice to have some assist as there are hills and you don't want to worry about having to keep up on going when you're driving in a lane on the road. The shop also has bikes, roller blades, and skate/penny boards for rent.

Our guide Mark did a great job showing us the city while giving us an entertaining history lesson. The tour takes about 2.5 hours with a 10-15 minute coffee/bathroom break in the middle. Definitely plan to wear comfortable walking shoes, as the tour covers quite a bit of ground. Our tour started at Plaza Mayor (just took for the red Sandemans umbrella) and ended at Plaza de Isabel II. While it is free to sign up, remember to bring cash if you choose to tip your tour guides at the end. Overall, the tour was a great introduction to the city of Madrid. Our goal was to stay in Lisbon one week, Madrid for one week, and then look for day trips outside of enjoying the city areas. I had spoken with several tour groups but they focus primarily either for Portugal or Spain. Usually not both. I chose Letango for the main reason that they could develop an itinerary along with scheduling drivers. I knew that with the grandparents traveling by bus or train would be harder on them with the extra walking involved. Carlos did a great job of planning the entire itinerary. He planned 2 walking tours in Lisbon, 2 day trips out of Lisbon (Sintra and Evora), 2 walking tours of Madrid, a tapas tour in Madrid, 2 days trips from Madrid (Segovia/Avilla, and Toledo), a Flamenco show, and a cooking class. That allowed our family to focus on the culture and the trip versus focusing on the logistics. All of the tour guides provided were courteous and helpful. They all recognized the wide range areas and adapted speaking points, walking pace, or in answering questions to all of us. They were also flexible when our whims caused us to stay in one place longer or ask about stopping at a specific location. I hope to travel back to those countries and will be looking to work with Letango again.

You may as well toss your 24Euro in the trash rather than endure this nightmare. It started a half-hour later with pickup at our hotel. We took another half-hour driving around town picking up other travelers, not all of whom were on this tour. We were then taken to a central underground bus depot, where we actually bought our tickets and were shown which bus to board. Although advertised as "English", it was actually bi-lingual and the "guide" spoke more in Spanish than in English, taking time that he could have spent explaining things in more detail. The "guide" had all the charm of an un-tipped waiter and the tone of a tape recording. He didn't even introduce himself to the group or make any opening remarks. We just suddenly found ourselves on the road, listening to a voice that may have been the bus driver's for all we knew . The "guide" spoke so fast we had trouble following him, even though he repeated himself several times. The photo stops he made were useless. One was at a vacant lot that overlooked a statue of Columbus on a busy street; another was at a bull ring, which i found nauseating, even though the place was closed. Although the "guide" told us it is possible to go in and view the arena, this was not true. What you could do was by a 12 Euro ticket for tour of the bull ring, which was not possible in the 15 minutes he gave us for this stop. The "guide" could not even answer a simple question about Madrid history when I approached him and he was more interested it taking his cigarette breaks than relating to the tours. We got a brief glimpse of a few historic buildings and perfunctory comments about them and Madrid's history - practically useless - and no real photo opportunities. Several people left the tour after the first hour and we did the same when it stopped near our hotel, thus avoiding a very long walk or cab ride from the point where the tour would have ended. Much of the time was spent stuck in traffic on the city's busiest streets, while other tour buses made their way through the back streets and stopped a places like Plaza Mayor and the nearby market, rather than whizzing by them with barely a mention. The driver was not very good and drove in such a herky-jerky stop & go manner that many of us were nauseous by time we escaped this ordeal. We paid for a short, cheap tour and that's pretty much what we got. Avoid at all cost!
