Dr. Sayaka has literally been nothing short of a LIFE CHANGER for my husband and I, individually…read moreand as a married couple together. I am aware her main focus is sexual therapy, but she's also an excellent individual and couples relationship therapist, so please consider her if you need that, as well. A note for those afraid of or think therapy is not for them: Luckily, my husband and I have never had hangups about seeking professional assistance off and on when we get "stuck." We've seen a variety of therapists throughout our relationship from about year #2 on. That sounds like we have major issues, but we really don't. We are 16+ years into our very happy and successful monogamous relationship. We love and respect each other, we are each others' best friend, and we enjoy each other's company more than anyone else's on this planet - and always have. We live, work, and spend ~23 hours of every day together - BY CHOICE. No relationship is or can be perfect, but that hasn't stopped us from trying! When we identify an issue that keeps popping up and can't seem to work it out ourselves, we seek help to get past it. We love and respect each other so much that we know it is important. We aren't egotistical enough to think going to therapy is weak or that if we can't work it out on our own, it is not meant to be. We realize that couples who have issues and choose NOT to seek help are the ones that don't value their relationship. We value ours so much that seeking help is a no-brainer and it has always served us well. Having said that, of all the therapists we have seen, Dr. Sayaka has been the best, hands down. She has helped us both individually and in sessions together to fix some MAJOR life-long issues we each have that affected our relationship together and with others. There has to come a time when you "graduate," as she calls it, and while we both would still enjoy fine tuning ALL of our issues, Dr. Sayaka gleefully told us one day that we've graduated and there is no need to come in for regular sessions anymore. In our experience, this is unheard of; almost all therapists are happy to continue to take your money as long as you want to give it. Dr. Sayaka was goal oriented in her approach and knew further sessions would have diminishing returns since we had both grown so much individually and together over the 1.5 year we spent with her. She pushed us out of her nest! Between the two of us, we worked on issues such as letting go of childhood trauma, abandonment issues, alcoholic tendencies, anger, unrealistic expectations, getting closer and deeper emotionally, being vulnerable in general and with others, trust, not needing other's approval and wanting everyone to like you, respecting individual time/needs, perfectionism, and more. We covered a lot of ground and we each have grown a TON. And, so yes, sex is also much better since we are closer. It's all actually pretty amazing. You have to be willing to show up, do the work, and be active in your growth along the way to see the amount of change we have seen. But, it's worth the investment in time and money if you are at a point where you are ready for REAL change. Many people WANT change, but aren't willing to work for it or move through the uncomfortableness needed to achieve it. We were both there and willing, so we saw the results with her guiding us every step of the way. Now that we have graduated, we still practice the homework she assigned us, which is key to having lasting results. We love it though and it doesn't feel like homework; it feels like we get to play fun games together and benefit from them - a win-win! We even proactively share some of the exercises with our friends because we have seen such amazing results from them. I could go on and on about Dr. Sayaka, but in short, if you're stuck, you want change, are willing to work for it, and don't know where to start...RUN (don't walk) to Dr. Sayaka. She will greet you with her warm compassion and smile. She will be direct, present and compassionate. She will sit silently holding a space for you as long as you need and even cry with you through the uncomfortable times and the great breakthroughs. She is emotionally intelligent, as well as very intuitive. She is NOT a normal therapist; I'd put her up against anyone out there...and I have been to MANY therapists in the past. She is the one who has "fixed" us, individually and together, for now. We both have an easily accessible armory of tools to refer to when our instincts kick back in and we could not be more grateful to her for that. Will we likely see her again? Yes. Because we don't have expectations we won't have something in 5 or 10 years that comes up as our lives change that will benefit from an outside impartial professional. But, I can honestly say that I look forward to that day. If you are not growing and changing for the better, what are you doing with your life? And with growth, comes growing pains. It's OK. GO SEE HER.

From the owner: People deserve lives of great intimacy with love and authentic connection. Sometimes for a variety…read moreof reasons, people struggle to gain the intimacy and touch they need in their lives. Often this is due to life events that leave us fearful, and make connections more difficult as a result. Unfortunately, this cuts us off from what we need when we need it most. This is where I come in. I teach people how to feel safe again, and to create safety for themselves wherever they go. I teach boundaries and consent, and help people find their powerful NO so they may have an empowered YES. I help remove trauma from the body and offer energy-based healing and somatic coaching sessions. Many of my clients struggle from trauma and not being able to access their full pleasure and enjoy vibrant intimacy with others. I offer unique solutions that work wonders for a great many. My intimacy healing sessions are designed to help people who no longer feel fully safe in the bedroom. These sessions are best done in person but can be done remotely as well. These sessions are typically 2 1/2 hours in duration. I also offer relationship coaching including couples relationship intimacy coaching and polyamory coaching. If you are looking to explore elements of kink I teach this also.

Tari truly changed our marriage. After four years of marriage and two kids in two years, my husband…read moreand I found ourselves stuck in a rut. We loved each other deeply, but we felt more like roommates juggling work and parenting than partners. We had tried traditional couples therapy together and individually, but we just weren't making real progress. A friend suggested we try alternative therapy, which I had honestly never considered before. After some research, we found Tari -- and being able to schedule Sunday morning sessions with our busy lives made the decision even easier. From the moment we walked into his office, we realized this experience would be very different from traditional therapy in the best possible way. The environment is private, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to create comfort and openness. Tari helped us communicate in a way that felt safe, non-judgmental, and focused on genuine connection -- no blame, no scorekeeping, just understanding. On a personal level, Tari helped me reconnect with my sensual side after years of pregnancy and breastfeeding, a part of myself I had truly lost. He helped both of us rediscover the closeness and intimacy we had before kids, and our relationship is stronger because of it. We are so grateful and highly recommend Tari to any couple looking to reconnect. Five stars without hesitation.

He has a rare ability to truly see and understand both sides of a relationship, and his insight into the male perspective has helped me make sense of dynamics in my marriage in ways I couldn't access on my own. I have felt deeply supported, but never coddled -- Tari offers compassion alongside honest, necessary truths, and that balance is where real change happens. What sets him apart is how practical and usable his guidance is. I don't leave sessions with abstract ideas; I leave with tools, language, and perspectives I can actually apply in real life. His suggestions are thoughtful, grounded, and immediately helpful. One of my favorite parts of our work together lately has been our walking sessions. There's something powerful about moving physically while also working through emotional weight -- burning calories while burning through the things that have been weighing on me. It makes the process feel active, embodied, and forward-moving, just like the growth I've experienced. Tari has supported me through every layer of this journey with steadiness, insight, and care. If you're looking for a therapist who combines deep understanding, practical guidance, and a genuinely human approach, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Scott Fish was my therapist for approximately seven months. I've had therapists on and off…read morethroughout my life. And without a doubt, my overall experience with Scott Fish was the most disappointing, the most souring I've ever had with a therapist. It wasn't until months into our professional relationship that I finally caught onto Scott's true agenda. Let's just say I, the client, was never the number one priority when it came to my own therapy with Scott Fish. It truly blows my mind that there are people in this world who'll justify their actions and abuse their position of power to get what they want, however they can get it and betray a client's trust/confidence in the most abhorrent, despicable manner imaginable. And at the end of the day they're still able to look themselves in the mirror, pat themselves on the back and tell themselves, "What I did was not out of malicious intent!!!" It would seem unfair that I'm leaving a one star review for an entire establishment such as Hope and Healing Counseling Services, due to my experience with one therapist, but I stand behind my rating. This is because I reached out to Scott Fish's manager Vanessa and asked to speak to the owner about my grievances with Scott Fish. I was basically brushed off. I made it crystal clear I wanted to speak to the owner Ramon Hernandez. It's been months. Ramon never contacted me. What Scott Fish did with me has got to be the most damaging thing I've experienced in decades at the hands of a clinician, or anyone for that matter. It has significantly impacted my ability to trust in others. When I finally confronted Scott Fish about what he did, he snapped back real quick and said, "Well....! I didn't record anything...!!!" with a big shiteating grin on his face. All I can say to that is, when Scott Fish's same laptop he had open and active during every session, a "record" button doesn't need to be on in order for information during a confidential therapy session to be accessed by another entity. And curiously, he switched out his laptop to a different one when I confronted him again for our final session on December 2nd. I filed a formal complaint against him through his licensing board (Board of Behavioral Sciences).
