Do you take insurance ? Blue Cross PPO?

Thanks for reaching out, Denise! Unfortunately, no I do not take any insurance. You can look on psychologytoday.com and search for therapists who take Blue Cross. However, from what I've heard, people have been having a REALLY hard time finding… Read more

I had contacted this behavioral health group to see if I could get couples counseling for my…read morehusband and I. When I spoke with Iris she said she would check for any availabilities and unfortunately there were no providers available at that time. I guess I made sort of a distressed sound since the process of trying to get a counselor had been going on for weeks and had been very frustrating but she told me that she would look up our insurance and see if she could find any doctors that maybe we hadn't heard of before and would text that information to me. She texted it less than an hour and a half from my phone call and I was sincerely surprised because literally do I do not usually speak to such nice people and then they do me a favor, a big ask, without even me being their customer. To be honest on my very first phone call we were able to get a therapist and we have an appointment with next week, and an appointment a week for the next month. I felt that Iris went way above and beyond for somebody she didn't even know and those are the kind of people that should be rewarded and thanked and normalized. Thank you Iris for all that you did, especially for a faceless stranger on the phone.

The appointment was set for 10:00 a.m. with Victoria Beltran, and all paperwork was completed online in advance to avoid any delays. We arrived on time and waited for over 30 minutes. At approximately 10:35 a.m., the front desk staff, who was very kind, came out to inform us that Ms. Beltran was still in a meeting and that we would need to reschedule. This experience felt unprofessional and was a significant waste of time. More importantly, it has caused my teen to second guess whether she even wants to pursue therapy now, which is extremely discouraging given how difficult it already is to take this step.

Here is a full review of what happened BEFORE the session…read more Got a phone with Dr Mitch and he quoted me $275 for an individual session and $395 for an hour group session and $595 for an hour and a half group session. Then he said he would like to do individual sessions with all of us first. So my mom and brother do the individual sessions first. My mom's session was 37 minutes and my brother's was 30 minutes. I inquired about it. Turns out they were doing an "intake session" and that it was up to an hour. My brother didn't feel like he was able to get what he needed out. Instead he ended up listening to Dr Mitch talk. I told Dr Mitch I didn't have much to say. He said he would do a 30 minutes intake a session at $190. $275 divided by 2 is $137.50. He wasn't even using more that 37 minutes! Then when I asked him about it, he told he that that's what was discussed and it was on his website and asked me to relay the message because he was fully booked. First of all, it was never discussed. Why are there 3 parties that are confused and his website looks like it was made in the 80's. There is a large amount of information that is hard to distill. Lastly, I told him I would not relay the message because that was not my job. All that aside, I still was hopeful because I wanted to be able work with someone that could help our family dynamics. Then the night before our session he asked for payment of $585 and that includes the 10% discount and asked for a Zoom link. He originally said $595. I questioned why he was asking me for a Zoom link? Turns out that he doesn't have Zoom and uses another system in which he can't have more than 4 people on at a time. I asked him, why did he say he could do a group if in fact he couldn't. I asked him if tech was part of his job that we were paying for, and he responded something like he told me in the beginning that his network wouldn't handle 4 different locations. He didn't say anything to me at the time. And his mistake was that he didn't spend to get Zoom and missed out on potentially a few thousand dollars. And then he said "worse comes to worse, I'll just work with you and your mother separately". This wasn't what we signed up for. He wasn't listening to our needs and he was being very dismissive with what we needed. He lost my trust even before the group session started. And all of this communication was done via text!

I called These people and they made me believe they were local and the site I got their information…read morefrom said they did in person sessions which is what I wanted and I explained that to him. When it came time to make the appointment he said they only do online sessions or by telephone. This was after they charged my credit card $390 for my wife and my consultation. The site that promotes them is very deceiving and they need to correct the information on it. Thankfully I was reimbursed for the services not rendered. Buyer beware.
