They've had my machine since May (it's August) and "haven't had time to get to it". I told him I was coming to get it this week and he said "he will try to find time to put it back together". It's been months and it's just been taken apart. Unless you have 3 months to spare or don't actually want your machine back, go somewhere else. Not very responsive and they do clearly don't operate under the business hours they claim to or else my company would have our coffee machine back. Update: I called a couple times throughout the day multiple days trying to get ahold of someone and I left 1 voicemail and they blocked my number and still have my coffee machine. Husso is a class act! I gave him a call and described the issues I was having and he told me to come on in. He quickly deduced that my Silvia was only pulling around 4 bar pressure, fixed it on the spot, and wouldn't accept payment. Sure, he's opinionated as other reviewers have pointed out, but that's part of the charm. Husso knows what he's talking about, and expects you to at least know a little bit about your equipment as well. Other negative reviews on here are people trying to get their Krups drip coffee machines fixed?!? That's not an espresso machine - the name of this business is Espresso World. If not for COVID, I would have loved to chat with him longer and will certainly be back for any future issues. read more

I have used Husso once before and it went well. My machine went down again and instead of sending it to Jura, we decided to give him a try. I dropped off the machine, a couple days later he said it was fixed. i paid him and took it home. It had the same problem. I went back there again and dropped it off, told him i was moving cross country in two weeks and needed it back. I messaged him 5 days out reminding him. I messaged two days before and he said "i haven't touch your machine yet". I messaged him the day before and he said he would fix that day, later that night he said maybe better i just come and pick it up. That was a total of 3 round trips to his store, In total we wasted over 4 hours of driving for all these trips. I asked for a refund of my initial fees and he never responded. read more

I have an old Starbucks Barista machine that the owner definitely made fun of me for and tried to sell me one of his refurbished machines (admittedly, he has some very nice ones), but he was also happy to fix mine. And he is extremely good at repairing espresso equipment. Try to go when you'll have a little time to chat with him. He has great stories, is amazingly opinionated, and a joy to be around. Three or four of my favorite stories to tell over beer are Husso stories. But about his actual repairing of espresso equipment: he's wonderful and reasonably priced. After replacing my group head and dealing with a few other issues, the next two times I came in for minor issues he refused to let me pay him for it, even after I tried to insist. ("Look -- it isn't about the money. It's about community; it's about coffee; it's about sitting with friends. Am I right?") So, if you are lucky, you have a broken espresso machine or grinder. Nice little basement workshop, and he did fix my machine's bad steam valve, we had a nice conversation, he's a nice guy and reasonably priced. But in the process he broke the part that holds the steam wand adjustment, so it flops around loosely. "It was already broken!" he assured me (no ... it wasn't). But worse, he screwed my case down, in a deep well of a screwhole, with a weird headed fastener which I could barely see and didn't recognize. I saw it when I tried to fix my wand ... and called him to find out what that strange bolt/screwhead was I learned that only his tool can remove it. "What do you want to get in there for?," he actually asked me. What the .... Hey man, it's *my coffee maker! You only fixed (and broke) it. That was a couple years ago, and I was moved to write this review after finally extracting that bolt with a drill, pliers, and few well placed words. Wand still flops around, and that bugs me every day. Steamer still works reasonably well and that was the main thing. However, not entirely satisfying experience, for me. read more

My wife and I have started referring to Husso as The Espresso Whisperer. It's an interesting experience getting machines serviced here, kind of like a secret barista speakeasy. Husso is often doing service calls in the suburbs when I need to come by, so I usually have to drop my machine off at his shop with his wife, but he usually gets on it right away. I recently had my 2 Pasquini machines serviced there, and the second one he called me at 10pm the next night to see if I wanted to come pick it up. The guy definitely eats and sleeps espresso machines, and is a fun guy to talk with while he tinkers on your machine. I just dropped of a Francis Francis there, a machine that he calls 'the toy', so we'll see how that goes. But his prices are reasonable, service is personable and quite fast. I have a feeling that he's the kind of guy that would be fair to you if something didn't work out right after the service, but have yet to have an issue with the work done on my machines so far. read more

I have to add to the various accolades being sent Husso's way. In addition to clearly being a master of his craft, my visit to his repair shop was highly enjoyable for the conversation. A friendly and opinionated (in a good way) man, we chatted about the American health-care system, educational system, etc. I was sorry to leave although we both had places to get to. Husso fixed my problem in minutes. I bought some coffee from him which I am thoroughly enjoying as we speak (on my newly fixed and perfectly-functioning espresso machine). They don't work with Krups machines. Technician said that they don't make enough money by fixing Krups. He suggested me to buy a new espresso machine. My krups is just leaking and need a new coat of sealing. And it cost 800.00$. why would I buy new if this one makes amazing coffee. After reading all the positive review I thought that this place is super friendly and inviting, but they have no customer service and their suggestions are silly. read more

When the grouphead gasket on my crappy Krups machine gave up the ghost, I went here for a replacement. Husso quickly salvaged a speculative substitute off a junker that was lying around. Since he refused payment, I offered to buy some of the Guglielmo beans he distributes. Probably the best imported espresso I've tried, but I don't think it will be replacing my regular Black Cat. All in all, a pleasant experience. The proprietor is gregarious and good-naturedly opinionated. This place has our Gaggia coffee machine for 6 months. We dropped it off in a dusty basement full of other highends coffee machines. Have not heard anything since, despite all the phone calls and messages left! We even had GaggiaUSA called on our behalf. To no avail! I walked into the "shop" today only to find out that it's just a basement in a house on Western Ave. The place looked dirty, machines everywhere waiting to be fixed. The place was pretty hard to find since there is no sign (there's one that is off the hanger sitting on the base of the basement window). It's quite disappointing to drive for a long time only to have someone tell you that it will be two weeks before he can see what is wrong with the machine. So if you are a coffe shop you should probably have a backup machine, and if you are like me, you are probably better off buying a new machine or taking it to someone else. read more

I've brought my Rancilio Rocky grinder here twice. The first time was when I dumped in water, rather than coffee beans. Naturally, the grinder stopped working. Husso fixed it quickly and for a reasonable price. He also regaled me with stories about his interesting life, we talked coffee, he sent me home with a handful of his favorite candies (and I guess I should add that I'm six years old!). More recently the grinder just started making a strange noise. I brought it in and Husso quickly ascertained that one of the bearings just needed some oil. Within a few minutes, the grinder was fixed and we had moved on to discussing his children, coffee, and home roasting. Despite my insistence, Husso wouldn't accept any money for fixing the grinder. Espresso World is a gem. Yes, it's in his basement. Yes, it is full of old espresso equipment in various states of repair. That's what makes it a gem. read more

Not that he doesn't know what he is doing he is great at it and will honor the warranty for as long as u have it. Today I went to turn my espresso machine on. OK I am not addicted to espresso but I do see a pattern. One first thing in the morning and one around 9 a.m.. I was on the phone so I was a bit distracted. I turned the switch and nothing. Went to Google that went to Yelp and Espresso World popped up. .Called the number and left a message and Mr Klebic called me back and told me to drop it off. He invites me in and begins to take my espresso machine apart. I am thinking. While I was there a nun dropped off her espresso machine. I called Huso after reading the reviews thinking that my Espresso machine was in need of some serious repair after the steam wand started acting up and not delivering steam properly. I called up and spoke to Huso who told me to take a paper clip, unwind it and push it into the tip of the steam wand because it is probably blocked up. When I got home that night, I was prepared to take my machine to him for fixing, not thinking for a second that his home remedy would work. In fact, I almost didn't even try it. But at the last moment, I did try it and lo and behold it worked like a charm! The steam previously was almost nonexistent and was actually coming out the sides where the rubber washer is. After the paper clip trick it worked like brand new! The fact that Huso saved me both money and an unnecessary trip to the city really is testament to his character and business methodology. Took my Gaggia Academia to Husso for a leak repair. After waiting three weeks the machine was finally ready. I took it home and it worked. For about a year. This time I took it for repairs to another company. He showed me what the problem was. When Husso repaired my machine he did not replace hoses and fittings like he told me. Rather he fixed the leaks with epoxy and duct tape.The epoxy worked it's way in my boiler causing all the additional problems. And he charged me three hundred dollars! So, beware of Espresso World who's repair shop is nothing but an old basement. read more
