When I called the person who answered couldn't have been more helpful. He walked me through what to try myself first before scheduling an in-person service call, and it worked! The steps given to me by Frigidaire were unhelpful - this gentleman knew so much more. All of my kitchen appliances are Frigidaire and this is the only place I would go to if service is needed. On Tuesday, July 12th, I contacted Electrolux regarding a problem with a brand new washing machine. Electrolux scheduled a third party, A Appliance Source to have a technician come out. The soonest a technician was available was on July 18th between 8 am and 5 pm. The washing machine was full of water and would not drain. As this is of the utmost importance, I rearranged my schedule to be home all day. I just contacted Electrolux at 4:30 this afternoon to check on the status of my appointment. A Appliance Source cancelled my appointment without notifying either me or Electroflux. I waited eight hours for the technician. No call and no show is not acceptable in my book. Now I have to wait an additional three days for an appointment with another third party repair service. My blood is boiling! read more

Our refrigerator was making a horrible noise. I called Paul and asked if he could come by and take a look. Coincidentally he was in the area. He came over and discovered the fan motor needed to be replaced. He had one in the van. It was fixed in minutes. I very rarely leave reviews but their service was so amazing I had to! Worked with Paul & Lisa on the phone for troubleshooting and estimation and Joe was the technician who fixed my broken oven on site. Very knowledgeable About the issue was able to troubleshoot it over the phone (given details about the model and the problem). They give me a clear understanding of what the problem would be and how much it would cost to fix so I can decide whether to buy new stove or to get it repaired. They didnt try to scam me or pressure me to go with them vs. buy a whole new stove. Actually encouraged me to do research on buying a new stove even if I didn't want to spend the money getting a 14 year old Appliance repaired. Ultimately because this was during covid-19 I decided it was easier to just spend the money to get it repaired. The oven was in a rental unit of mine. they scheduled everything on time all the notices I was told I would get about when the window would be were on point. I did not need to be present, Joe the technician went to the unit took care of the job and it turned out to be a fix that was on the lower estimate side. he didn't replace unnecessary parts and up charge me. I was able to pay over the phone the following day. they didn't even call me to harass me about billing and having to pay. **This review has been moved from A Climate Source since the business split.** Highly professional. Uber friendly on the phone, no matter who I spoke to. I found them as a certified service agent on the Electrolux web site. A solenoid went bad in our 2-y.o. Electrolux washer leaking water all over the laundry room floor. When I called Electrolux they informed me that we were *just* out of warrantee (naturally). They gave me the name of ACS for service. The tech who came out for the service call said this was going to be a pricey repair with parts and labor for two techs and a couple hours. He encouraged me to go back to Electrolux and press for some kind of compensation since it was not a common failure & so close to warrantee. I took his advice and was able to get both the part *and* the labor from Electrolux. (Thank you, Tony!) They've been here twice. Each time I got a call by 8am the morning of the scheduled visit giving me a 2-hour arrival window. The second time they didn't make that window. Not by a long shot. But the tech did call to revise it and met the second window. So ACS gets points for that "communication thing". They followed up twice after the initial service call when I was dealing with Electrolux. Once things were squared away with Electrolux, they called multiple times to keep me informed along the way about parts ordering, delays in the part's arrival, its arrival, and rescheduling the service call. This is what customer service is all about. It's not hard. It's just attention to detail. The initial consultation charge is $65 for the visit. However, they apply that to the final repair costs. Very reasonable, in my book. Top notch and classy, all the way around. read more

I would stay away from these guys. I called them for a specific issue (freezes up around the ice maker). The guy came out and said it wasn't a problem. He did replace the ice maker however. I asked again if he could look to see why it froze up but he said it was fine. Three months later, it froze up again. I called and they said I had to pay for another service call even though they didn't even address the problem the first time. This company doesn't stand behind their work. I called because I was referred to them by the Frigidaire repairs number. After saying so, the first thing they did was to ask what the issue was. I told them that the microwave was turning on when the door was being closed. The confirmed the model number, and within no time confirmed that the model was too old and the repair would not be worth it. Now, I think you'll question why that deserves 5 starts, and that's because, I have had way too many experiences where service providers overcharge and perform repairs which might last a few months before breaking down again. Or at the very least charge to either send a technician around, or bring over the defective instrument, so it can be looked at. They could have easily done that, and made a tiny profit. They didn't. When I called, they were quick, but not curt, and direct, but not dismissive. That is hard to come by these days. read more

I was referred to A Appliance Source by Frigidaire, when I was having a problem with my dishwasher. The service was excellent from the beginning--when I called, a real person answered the phone. She took my information, scheduled a service time within a week (I called on the Thursday before a holiday weekend), and I was able to stipulate a specific time of day (rather than an open window) for the call. Twenty minutes later, a tech called back to reconfirm the information and the "diagnosis," and he was able to give me two potential prices for each of the two potential problems that could be causing the dishwasher to not start. On the day of service, the technician called at 8:30am, exactly as scheduled, and reconfirmed the 9-11am window. He arrived at 9:10, replaced the part in 15 minutes, and was done and gone before 9:30...with a promise that the "service call" component of my fee was good for 30 days, in the event another appliance had an issue. Overall, this was absolutely excellent service and I would highly recommend them. read more

I needed a technician to go out to my condo when my Freezer and Fridge stopped cooling. I was given excellent advice, was spoken to like an adult and treated very professionally. I never had any issues getting ahold of someone, customer service was always quick and they were aware of my time. I ended up needing to replace the fridge all together but was given the option and cost of fixing vs new and while it didn't benefit them for me to purchase a new unit, that was their suggestion. I was referred to them by Frigidaire to replace the broken glass in my Affinity front load washer. My call was immediately and professionally answered. I was told that they would have to call and order the glass and that they would call me back with an estimate, which they did within 5 minutes. The part was to take approximately 2 weeks. A week after they ordered the part, they called me to check in and tell me when they were expecting the part to arrive and then called again when the part was due in and told me that they were scheduling me for repair the following day. The day it was to be installed, they called at 8 am and gave me a window of 8:30- 10:30 am The service tech was here at 8:45 am. He was mindful to not create or leave a mess. The repair was done quickly and painlessly and even came to less than I was quoted. The technician even replaced the washers in the door to PREVENT a problem that has been common in this model. They are on the list of approved service for Frigidaire appliances. My gas dryer wouldn't heat, just out of warranty at 2 years. They bent over backward trying to re-arrange an appointment on short notice, great effort. The repair man obviously knows this particular appliance and knew what part has been known to fail (a thermal something) and quickly replaced (Not a DIY as you have to take the whole dryer apart). I thought the total price ($145) was reasonable. read more

I never write reviews for businesses, but felt compelled to after having such a great experience with A Appliance. My husband and I bought our house mid-2016 and it came with all-new appliances. We renovated our kitchen, keeping the appliances safely stored away from all of the reno mess, but after putting them back in place found that the oven was not working. It was odd- the stove top worked fine and even the broil feature (which operates in the oven) worked without a problem. I called Home Depot (where I was told the appliances were purchased) hoping to hear the oven was still under warranty, but was told there was a manufacturers warranty that had expired because the appliances were purchased at the end of 2015. I then tried Frigidaire directly and they said the same thing: sorry, warranty is expired but here's a repair service. So I called A Appliance and explained the situation (at this point I had accepted the fact that I'd have to pay to repair our new appliance) and was told that the repair would be covered by the warranty! :D If your appliances were new when you bought your home, you have 1 year from the closing date to use your warranty! The repair company just needs some proof of your close date. I'm so glad I went with this company and was told about this loophole because otherwise it could have been an expensive repair- which was also done quickly. Joe came out with the part he needed before ever looking at the oven and was in and out in a flash. Overall I had a great experience and can't think of one bad thing to say about this business. :) read more

Washing machine stopped working mid-cycle so I yelped around and found several places. When I called most of them were just some dude's voicemail (and I never got a call back when I left a message). This place a person picked up the phone right away which is a big plus in my book! Between the time I made the initial appointment and a couple weeks later when it was scheduled, I called about four times (since repair places are sometimes flaky I get nervous and always want to triple confirm they're still coming), and each time someone picked up right away or called back within 5 or 10 minutes. Also when made the appointment they told me someone would call me the day of between 8 and 8:30 to confirm the 2 hour appointment "window" - and sure enough I *did* get a call in that time frame, AND the repairman arrived during the stated window. I was thrilled! Since I have to take time off work to schedule an appointment, I really appreciated all this - the easy communication is reassuring, and the follow through on their promises shows respect for the customer's time (which is a rare and beautiful thing!). I'm glad I went with this place instead of Sears Home Services, which although they offer Saturday appointments, sounds like a nightmare looking at their Yelp reviews. Speaking of weekend/evening appointments, this place doesn't offer them, but is totally up front about that. A couple of the other places I called prominently state "24/7 service" on their websites, but the first never even called me back, and the second picked up the phone but seem disgusted at me for asking. If you don't offer it, don't say you do and be mad when people ask! So yeah, A Appliance Source does not have weekend or evening, but in reality few places do and and least AAS is honest about their true hours. Appointment itself - the guy was nice, quickly found the problem, and made a point of showing me what it was (a computer part had blown out- there were burn marks all over the circuit board). He had a replacement part with him in his truck, and quickly swapped them out, tested, and cleaned up. Have now done three loads of laundry without a hitch. Hooray! Total cost: $295 - that's $65 for the service call, and the rest for parts and labor. The service call has a warranty of 30 days on *all* appliances in the house (not just the one that was fixed), so if any others go on the fritz (I hope not, but good to know), there's no $65 charge for a visit within 30 days, just the parts and labor. read more
