Not for Miele appliances Even though their ad says it is a Miele service company I was told when I called that it is not.

Excellent service, quick response and super helpful. He walked me through what was wrong and what was needed and not needed. Would recommend since he was super fair. read more

AA is one of the best appliance repair services in Chicago. After using several other services in recent years, Ivan with AA stands above the rest. I recently had an issue with my furnace. Ivan came through to our condo more than once to ensure the problem was completed. The communication on arrival times was accurate and the price was extremely reasonable. Above all, Ivan is a genuine person. I will not hesitate to continue using AA in the future. read more

great experience with AA, they came out diagnosed a pesky problem with my Bosch dishwasher not draining and quickly fix it. Incredibly nice dudes that were professional. They will be my go-to for issues with appliances going forward. read more

Terrific service, very professional and honest. I have used them many times over the past 10 years and recommend them to my fellow homeowners. Their latest feat was fixing a couple malfunctions in my stove. It's as good as new now! read more

I've used AA Best Appliance Service for many years and with different appliances. When it comes to booking, they are responsive and have a quick turnaround time. They serve as consultants and almost always give us options when servicing our appliances. I've found their prices are really fair and a good value. I will continue to use them and would recommend them to anyone in need of a repair. read more

Highly recommend Ivan with AA Best Appliance. I called at 1:30 pm to get an idea how much it would be to fix my dryer and with an approx price he said he could come fix it same day! Arrived at 3:30 fixed it within an hour and came in lower in price than originally quoted over the phone. Great customer service, very friendly, quick and reasonable! read more

My landlord connected me with Chris the day after I reported an issue with our oven not functioning properly. He gave me a call and was very communicative about the time window that he would be coming over. He was friendly and got the job done in a quick manner without any issues. Would recommend if you need a handyman! read more

I needed my dishwasher to be looked because a puddle of water would remain in the bottom of it each time I used it. A plumber was unable to find a problem. But Chris found out that the problem was a faulty water valve. The part was ordered quickly and Ivan came to put it in. He went above and beyond to make sure the new valve was working perfectly!! I highly recommend for this service. read more

AA Best Appliance Service is THE VERY BEST. Period. The skilled team resuscitated a forlorn gas stove, repairing the burner, replacing the igniter and they were DONE! No muss, no fuss. Straight to work, repairing and rescuing an appliance that I feared I had died. Hooray and thank you!!! read more

I may be biased but I think my dad (Ivan) is the bees knees, he can be a little rough around the edges on some days and is working on that daily, but he's honest and diligent and reliable. That's what keeps his customers coming back consistently Year after Year. He often will go above and beyond to try and seve the customers from having to need new parts by mending the original ones with his cost effective engenierring/inventive mindset. And he will let you know if it's time to replace before he offers to repair anything past the point of no return (but will do so for those attached to their oldies). read more

Repair/Maintenance my rental Washing Machines and Gas Driers. Their workmanship is outstanding, extremely knowledgeable. What I like the most is that they are very honest with their work and you can depend on them Anytime. Kudos for Chris and Ivan Thanks Dennis read more

Based on all the positive reviews I hired Ivan. He is also endorsed by Angie's list. He did come out the same day and left my machine in worse condition with rust all over. He came back to wipe the rust off and flipped out of the blue, screaming at me, he walked out leaving the machine with all the rust created from changing a pump. As he had suggested, I asked him to reverse the work order and take the pump. Instead he stormed off yelling at the top of his voice and sending me later nasty text after text. Trades refusing to take pride in their work and just interested in making a quick buck is common. But losing your temper in the first work encounter and irrational is cause for concern. Ivan is NOT FIT professionally to work any washer or dryer. I strongly recommend you to think twice. read more

Of COURSE, it was laundry day when my washer decided it wouldn't fill up with water. I was a nervous new homeowner who knew when to Google and when to call someone. After many failed attempts to get the washer to tell me what was up, I looked up AA Best Appliance Service and decided to give them a ring based on the great reviews here and elsewhere. Ivan picked up immediately and told me he could be over in a couple of hours on the same day. Within seconds of assessing the issue, he knew exactly what was wrong--bad pipes that had rusted to the point of zero water passthrough. He took the time to show me what and where I should point a plumber to fix the issue and then rigged up a great workaround (sink hookup, duh!) to tide us over in the meantime. Prices were super fair, and I will absolutely be calling AA Best Appliance Service when my next appliance decides to act up. read more

Ivan has been repairing our appliances--washer, dryer, oven, range--for years, and if there's anyone in Chicago who knows more about them, I'd be amazed. Akways prompt, efficient and always provides extra information and help. Helps us weigh the pros and cons of repair or replace, choose the best brand, and keep appliances in good working order. Highly recommended! read more

Ivan & his son Chaz really ARE the best. They've been fixing our various washing machines & dryers for 20 years. Today, they fixed our dishwasher. They're fast, friendly & stand by their work. I'll never forget Ivan, after fixing our dryer, stopping to fix our old front door knob that was falling off. No charge of course - just being nice & helpful. Good people! read more

I called AA Best to repair my ice maker in my refrigerator that was jammed. They were able to offer me an appointment time within 2 days of my call. Chris was able to fix the problem very quickly and made suggestions on regular maintenance to help prevent the problem in the future. I have been using AA Best for many years. Ivan had previously been out to service a previous refrigerator and I also had great experiences with him. I won't hesitate to call AA Best for appliance repairs in the future. read more

I just got off the phone with I guess with the owner, Ivan. I'm attaching a text message from him after I declined to hire him. I asked him to look into a part and sent him information he requested. After he told me his fees were going to be over $325 I told him no thank you. I was able to find another company that would come out with the part and installation for $129. Ivan then text me saying, " thank you for wasting my time" talk about a very unprofessional and an ignorant person. Don't waste your time! read more

AA Best Appliance Service - A text I received from, Ivan after I declined to hire him. Very unprofessional and rude! Don't waste your time - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Ivan was responsive to my inquiry about servicing my oven; he was flexible with arranging a time to come by for the repair and was clear in his communication regarding charges for services and replacement parts. Ivan also spoke with my home warranty company to explain the situation so I could be reimbursed for the repair. My five-star rating is given based on his strong work ethic, promptness of repair, and reliable communicaiton. read more

Have been using Ivan's sevices for over 20 years. I am a property owner that owns several appliances. When I first met Ivan I was impressed that he didn't try to over charge or BS me because I was female. Believe me, some services try very hard to BS you into being over charge. Over the years I have recommended Ivan to family, friends and colleagues, without issue. He has always cleaned up after himself and has never left a mess. read more

I scheduled an appointment with the owner. From there we were texting back-and-forth about the address and my information. I texted him the day he was supposed to be there and was told my appointment was canceled. I asked him who canceled the appointment and all I could get out of him is that somebody with the same brand of dryer canceled an appointment and I was the only one he had so it must've been me. I asked him to tell me the phone number that canceled or the name of the person that canceled and he would not respond. Also, would not respond to multiple phone calls. read more

They fixed my amana refrigerator at a reasonable rate. I could tell they knew what they where doing. Went from a refrigerator blowing hot air to cold in about 30 min. Really great company to deal with. They came right away to fix our fridge. Unfortunately, due to things out of their control, we have to have someone else take care of the issue because of other circumstances (there is a class action settlement that requires the original company to fix the issue). I appreciate the honesty and guidance they gave me to get the issue fixed for free. They could have never mentioned it. The cost for looking at the issue and attempting a repair was super reasonable. And the repairmen were great people. Highly recommended and we will definitely contact AA Best if anything else happens to other appliances. read more

Just had our front-loading washer fixed by Ivan. He did a great job-- fast, competent, and now I have clean clothes. The price was reasonable and Ivan let me know up front so I could decide whether it was worth it. Definitely would use again. read more

Interesting. I called this company as it was recommended on Yelp and Angie's list. The person called me back and told me he could not help me as they don't service my area. Fine, so I asked if he could recommend someone who did. He said he couldn't recommend competition? but he doesn't service my area? I think that's very unhelpful. anyway, he hung up on me. I can't help but write this as someone who is rude may not always be good to use. read more

Our Kitchen Aid washing machine was not spinning properly and we called AA Best and had an appointment 2 days later. They gave us a 2 hour window of when they would arrive and said they would call when they were on their way. The delivered as promised. Ivan took a look at the problem and said he did not have the part with him but would return 2 days later or the next day if he had a cancellation. He gave us a firm estimate of the cost to repair. The next day he came and repaired the washing machine and its good as new. The initial service call was $60 less than Sears. The final cost was exactly as promised. I would highly recommend AA Best and will call them again if another appliance breaks down. read more

We just moved into a new place when our washing machine began smoking (literally) halfway through a cycle. A day later the dishwasher door fell off one of its hinges and would no longer close. I was referred to Ivan from our home inspector. He came out the next day, was on time, and not only fixed both issues for a totally reasonable (read: below what we assumed we would have to pay) price. He also pointed out how to maintain both machines and some best practices for preserving their life. Next time something smokes or falls off, Ivan's our man. read more

I had a problem with my HVAC system actually bold air through the vents during the last couple of hot days in Chicago, so I called Ivan and he came the next morning. Turns out the problem was a simple filter replacement causing the system to block up. Despite not needing to actually fix anything, Ivan was very professional and couldn't have been more understand of my ignorance. Ivan was patient and explained the whole problem and how to fix it in the future. read more

For the second time in about two years, my refrigerator was dying -- loud noises, rising temperatures, etc. Some web research uncovered my problems were pretty common in the model, so I started to look into replacements. To get one that would fit the abnormally small space, it was going to be about $1400, so I decided to call AA Best. Ivan came out and immediately knew what the problem was. Two hours later, it was not only running again, but he installed some extra "stuff" to prevent the problem from recurring. He even hooked up the icemaker, which had been disconnected since I'd moved in three years earlier. Yes, I'm lazy. Anyway, highest recommendation from me. The price was fair and Ivan really knows what he's doing. I will definitely call them again when the next appliance breaks. read more

I have been using AA Best since approx 2008, when I had a washer/dryer break on me. They are upfront on price, get the job done quickly, and get it done right. They have repaired 2 washers for me, a fridge, and a couple other appliances. If they can't or don't do that service, they are honest about it too. They won't waste your time. read more

We've used AA Best Appliance for a washer & dryer repair at our rental unit. Ivan is great! He provides honest, professional service with quality repairs. At the beginning of November the motor went out on the dryer so we had to purchase a new motor. A couple weeks later one of the tenants contacted me saying that the dryer was taking 2 cycles to dry and was rattling. Ivan was able to come out the following day to assess the situation. He determined that the rattling was from the new motor having to settle and that the dryer wasn't drying because there was too much lint build up in the duct. Not only does he tell you what's going on but he shows you why something is or is not working. I feel very confident in the quality of service I received. He kindly cleaned out the lint for me and checked the motor. The rattling has stopped and the clothes are drying. read more

My 10 plus year old dryer started making screeching noises and I knew I should get it addressed before it died completely. I used Ivan's company two years ago for this same dryer so I didn't hesitate to call him again. I called Ivan on Wednesday and he was at my house at 9:30 the next morning! This time a pulley was not working properly (a different problem than two years ago.) Ivan showed me the problem and explained why the pulley wasn't working properly. He had a replacement part with him and repaired my dryer quickly. He honored the twenty dollar coupon here on Yelp and charged me the same amount he charged two years ago, which was a very fair price then, today I considered it a bargain! Ivan fixes all types of appliances and I will not hesitate to call him when another appliance breaks because you know it's just a matter of time before something else breaks! With the increased cost of appliances these days, I'd rather repair than replace! AA Best Appliances is honest and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them! read more

The other day my washing machine was leaking, I got referred to this company by my boss (which has used them in the past) I am VERY glad he did. Ivan came out the next day. We have used Ivan at AA Best Appliances for several repairs in our home over the past 2 years: two times for our refrigerator and once for our washer. All three times, Ivan demonstrated a ton of expertise about what was causing the problem and offered options for fixing it. When an appliance breaks down, replacing a component is often an option, but Ivan had other solutions for us that did not require replacement (and which cost less). We have also found that Ivan stands by his work and charges reasonable prices. We will continue to use AA Best when we need repairs. read more

Edited to add: Immediately after I left this review, the business owner called me twice and then sent a threatening text (screen captured) that said, "Don't you ever use my company or call us ...u [sic] are rude and conceited yourself This message was sent to me via Yelp's messaging service from him: "You do not have the right to write on my page since we aren't the company you are looking for. And if you do not agree to our terms we have the right to refuse service to you. Any more slandering and we will take you to court" My original review: Very rude man. I left a message. When he called back, he said, "I was just out there." No one called. No one knocked on my door. When I gave him my information and my landlord's information to take care of the bill (in advance), he said, "I don't take credit cards." I've had plumbers, carpenters, locksmiths and other service repairs done to my unit. All of them were able to bill my landlord. When I explained that to the man who called, he said, "We don't take credit cards. You have to pay the bill." When I said that no other repair person operates that way, he hung up. "You have a nice day, ma'am." Terrible. read more
