Aleksandr fixed a 45 year old Amana Radarange. He did it in less than an hour. He's absolutely GREAT at fixing ANYTHING he puts his paws on. He's fixed 2 fridges for me & now this. I may not need him to come fix anything for a long time, but it's great knowing I got someone to call when any appliance goes haywire. Honestly, I don't know anything he CAN'T fix. If you haven't tried Aleksandr, YOU GOT TO!! He has weekend & evening hours. My GE fridge Evaporator fan, which has been noisy on and off for ages, disconnected itself so the side-by-side freezer fridge unit was staying cool but wasn't distributing correctly (so getting too warm and melty). Called GE, and it would take a week to get someone out to look at it. Mr. Fixit Alexander answered promptly, and came out 2 hours (!) after my call on a Thursday afternoon. He is prompt and professional, and was able to quickly fix the disconnection and get everything back to working order. He is also upfront about pricing: I think I was quoted $75 for just a look-see, but since he was able to fix it all and take care of the problem, it was $250 altogether for an hour and a half of work. I looked into possible part replacements and other repair costs and I feel like this is an *awesome* value for being so quick and thorough and saving me so much time and energy and anxiety (a lot of my stuff was in coolers with ice I had to keep purchasing and all spread out) Thank you Mr. Fixit! When asked what went well? My response is basically "EVERYTHING". I was initially thrown off a little when I called the number listed. It wasn't a business response, but a general "hello"? I asked if I had the right number, and he confirmed I did. I had issues with the outdated Refridgerator that came with the condo I purchased last year. (I had also just gotten a warning message from the HOA regarding leaks from the original units installed in the building.) Aware of my personal issues with the water dispenser which suddenly stopped working (and being urged by other HOA members to be aware of leaks/possible damages)-- I first reached out to the manufacturer. They stated a $115 service call fee, plus labor, plus parts. They honestly recommended I look elsewhere if inclined to do so. Instead of a week+ out (and only certain days)-- Alex offered next day with a 2 hour window. He arrived next day (with a 30 minute "heads up".) He was courteous, efficient, and prepared. He inspected, evaluated, and determined a fix immediately. He had the supplies in his truck to complete the repair immediately. I was shocked at his efficiency and thoroughness. His $65 Call out fee plus the repair was $180 total. I tipped (without any pressure to do so). He was very transparent. I asked if he specializes in refrigerators only . He stated all appliances except those that weren't worth repairing. He shared that most often microwaves (for example) are just better left to be replaced. That meant a lot to me as someone new to homeownership adopting existing appliances. read more
