The owner of this company (who is A rated by the Better Business Bureau at this writing) is Deborah Antonetti. She does not do remediation, but just the testing. This is important because there is no conflict of interest. I chose her to test my mother's house to encourage my mother to have some repairs done. Deborah was very kind and compassionate with both me and with my mother about what needed to be done. It took some time, but after finally having the remediation done by another company, we chose her to do the closeout testing. She was able to schedule us very quickly and arrived right on time. She was quick with getting the results back to us (which, at this time, are just fine). She also gave us the information that the remediation companies are now required by the Registrar of Contractors to provide a 2 year warrantee on their work (excluding new water damage). I would not have known this, and would not have have thought to ask about including this. I appreciate Deborah's integrity and work ethic and highly recommend her to anyone who needs to have a mold inspection done. read more

Deborah at Espree was extremely professional, thorough, accommodating and helpful. She took a good deal of time to explain the process of environmental testing and patiently answered all of my questions. As it turns out, we did have a variety of different types of mold in our walls throughout the house. We got a detailed report from the lab and Espree about what was going on in the house. Some folks told us to skip hiring a tester and just have a contractor tear out the places where mold was present. We decided to do the testing. I'm glad we did. Some places we thought had mold ended up clear, other places we did not notice had a lot of mold. Today, we are mold free and educated about the whole process. BE WARNED: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are a complete sham. The owner came out to do a mold testing for me in a house that had prior mold issues. She quoted me $140 for testing NEVER MENTIONING any other fees even though she knew I wanted air samples. She did not even use her easy to use moisture meter UNTIL MY REALTOR ASKED at the end of her test, which then she went and did on the bottom baseboard area which makes no sense as the water breach came from above the basement walls from the ground level. She then proceeded to tell me I would need 5 air samples which made ZERO sense as I specifically requested a sample from the known area of mold. She kept insisting it wouldn't be valid because of air returns, to which I replied that if there's mold indication there, I don't need to know about the rest of the house (which had no problems with water, just the basement). After realizing I wasn't falling for her scam (which would have been an addition $290), she agreed to taking only 2 samples, from the known breached area and outside. What a waste of money. You live and learn, but I had to pay to learn what a scam she was. I never do yelp reviews but I hope to spare someone else from using her because not only did she not know what she was doing (she missed a water breached area that my general inspector caught 2 days later), but she's a complete rip off. Be warned, I'm not a disgruntled customer as this is clear and simple mold testing, I'm an educated consumer who just wants others to know that you will NOT be getting quality testing or honesty. read more

The best place to start with this review: outstanding service. I recently had Deborah from Espree out to a property my buyer clients were purchasing. The home had recently had a leak in the garage, and also had a basement that raised mold concerns for the buyers. There turned out to be no mold related to the basement or garage leak, but through a visual inspection Deborah found two other areas that concerned her, and after lab testing confirmed that both of the areas she found had mold. In addition to her keen eye was her level of service, explaining the process and concerns with the clients. We were selling a home that had been rented out for a few years. The real estate home inspector suspected mold in two areas. We were on a very tight timeline for closing. Deborah came out the next day after we called, did a thorough inspection of the very large house. Found mold in three areas, had recommendations for remediation companies, one of which we used. After the remediation, she had to come back twice to ensure the remediation had been effective. She re-worked her schedule to fit us in and was able to rush the lab results, so that we could stay on schedule with getting everything repaired after the remediation. Because of her efforts, we stand a chance of closing on schedule. She even came out on a holiday to take samples for us! The services were a bit pricey, but I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for. I am very confident that we are now selling our home to another family completely free of mold. Called Espree and was able to arrange an inspection very quickly. The inspector (owner) is very nice, you can tell very knowledgeable, and used meters to detect moisture without me asking. I had found a concerning area that she confirmed was "moldy" and discovered two sites that I had not known about. These were serious and the homeowner needed to address before selling. Spend the money to live in a clean new home. Will be calling her in the future. Her rates for samples are very reasonable. read more

Deborah, the owner, is great, she was very professional and worked with me every way she could to make sure I was taken care of. I had a leak from my second floor shower and it came through the ceiling. She tested everything and followed up with me throughout the process to make sure I understood what was going on. I would like to start by saying that I have never written a bad review on anyone, ever, until now. Deborah was the most unprofessional person I have ever interacted with. Like another comment stated, she was extremely shady and I would highly recommend not letting her step one foot inside your home. While inspecting above my dining table, she had bits of drywall falling all over without putting any sort of protection down and that should have been a sign of things to come... She wanted to snoop around my entire house when the issue was isolated to the kitchen and then she wanted me to sign a very poorly written statement that I refused the inspection when I said no to her having access to areas that had nothing to do with the issue. I asked her to specify in writing that she had full access to the damaged area, but not to the entire house before I sign my name to it and she literally rolled her eyes in disbelief that I wanted her to be specific. After once again stating that I needed her to be more specific before i signed, she threw what I could only describe as an adult temper tantrum, packed up and stormed out. Use this company at your own peril... Totally unprofessional and she should be ashamed of her behavior! read more

My boyfriend was the one initiated the contact and she did testing on my house. I requested the information and testing results gathered at the house that I own. I would caution people even more that they beware of someone who is going to deny the fact that she wouldn't provide information to a home owner. She conducted shady business, bottom line. Beware!!!! The business is shaddy! We called to set up the testing and were never told about the additional charges that would come with utilizing a credit card when paying for the services. The owner came and did the testing and hit us with the extra charges. We then went to get cash and she had us drop it on her front door step that evening and stated she wasn't home to receive it. Poor decision on our part but we left it. Then she said the amount was short $40. Then she said she wouldn't give us the results without paying that additional money. Once we did that, she would not give us an electronic copy without me having to hassle her. Now that I have a claim that is going through insurance and I need a copy of the itemized bill, she emailed me back stating "all I have is the carbon copy and it can not be scanned it wont show up. Im very sorry. It was for four samples and the total was 340.00 on 1/5/16 that the best I can do." I would be sure to consider going somewhere much more professional if you have mold testing needs. Not to mention that two of the remediation companies I got quotes from both said that her final documents lacked detail and some of the necessary information. read more

Deborah was able to make an appointment with me right away to do the initial testing. It was $140 + $50/sample (1 from the suspected moldy area and 1 from outside as a negative control). She wanted to take a third sample from elsewhere in the house but I declined. Results were back within 2 days. Turns out we had mold. We called in a remediation company and after they did their dehumidifying, deconstruction, etc, they wanted to test to see if the mold was gone using their own people at twice the cost! I told them we had our own mold tester and called Deborah again. She was able to fit us in that day, and got us the results within a day or two. Maybe the reconstruction people should be contracting out to her - they wanted over $500 to verify the mold was gone but Deborah did it for half that! I think it takes a bit longer (next day or day after instead of same day) but it's worth it to save almost $300, and she will even tell you the identity of the mold so you know exactly how much to worry (we have a kid, so it was somewhat comforting to be able to name the species). I'm glad we called, and I'd recommend Espree Mold Testing. I docked one star because I found her a bit brusque to deal with... but then again I probably was too. She got the job done well, fairly quickly, and at half the cost of the other guys so that's what counts. read more

When I first found out there was mold in the ceiling of my house, I didn't know what to do. This was my first house I had ever bought and to find out that there was yet another issue made me want to just give up. I contacted other companies and they said they would not / could not service my area. Upon finding Espree online and contacting Deborah, she said her company services the area I live in ((for an additional fee, but that was fine with me, they were willing to drive an hour+ to get to me)).
