    Walkway #02

I couldn't be happier with the work and professionalism with ESPJ Construction Corp. I replaced the concrete at my sidewalk, walkway and around my garage. The owner was friendly, courteous and timely. The crew was on-time, kept me in the loop, and was respectful of my property. I am thrilled with their work and I highly recommend them.

We love our new stamped concrete patio by ESPJ Construction!

We are thrilled with the work that ESPJ Construction did on our yard. We had an inground fiberglass pool installed and ESPJ Construction did all the concrete work, leveling our yard, and our new concrete stamped patio looks amazing! They went above and beyond and we would highly recommend Giovanni and his team.

We were looking to hire a contractor to do our backyard and under deck patio. After receiving many estimates we ultimately decided to go with ESPJ because Giovanni, one of the owners, was down to earth and responsive to my inquiries. I got the sense that he has been doing this for quiet some time and I felt confident that he would get the project completed as outlined. I am thrilled I went with his company because the patio came out beautiful. They were also very reasonably priced for the service we received. From the beginning of the project until competition, Giovanni was quick to respond to my phone calls and text messages. The ESPJ crew during excavation and during the pouring of the concrete was respectful of our house and our neighbors properties. They cleaned up after each day (water bottles, food wrappers etc) and swept and power-washed our driveway to clean off the dirt and concrete. We went with a Santa-Fe large pattern- primary color is Silver with a charcoal release agent as the secondary color. The patio still has to dry before they seal it which will bring out the colors even more. If you are looking for any masonry project/patio do not hesitate to contact ESPJ. I only leave high reviews for the contractors who truly deserve it. Thanks again ESPJ! We will be recommending you to our family and friends.

The section which had to be cut out

I hired ESPJ Construction to replace the cement around my pool area. I went with them because Giovanni offered to throw in a free item if I signed up that day. I probably should have requested a few more estimates. What I came to realize is the ESPJ is a construction company. They are not "pool people". They did nothing to try and protect the pool liner or underground pipes/wires. The first issue was when they sliced through an electric cable going to the pool area lights. When I asked about what they were going to do about it, the response was "we are not electricians". Oh, OK... I guess I'll have to rewire the lights myself at my own expense. The second issue is they put some holes in my pool liner so I was losing water every day. I had to hire a diver (at my own expense) to get in water to find and fix the holes. I ended up having to get a new liner (another expense). The last and biggest issue was that they crushed one of the return pipes when pouring the cement. I had all the line pressure tested (at my own expense) prior to ESPJ pouring the cement but they crushed the pipe on the pour. I had to hire a leak detection company twice (at my own expense) to locate the leak and then repair it. ESPJ did come back to cut out a section of the cement where the leak was so I could get access to the crushed pipe. When they returned to pour the cement in the cut out section, they used the wrong color when coloring the cement. Giovanni said he would return to try and change the color but that was 6/16/20. At this point, I do not want them on my property anymore. The cement block with a different color will be a constant reminder for me to always get multiple estimates and to properly vet the company you're going to use for a large project. Lesson learned...

This was the biggest construction project we've ever done - and it was the smoothest experience…read more From the start Chris, the owner, gave us the most realistic overview of the timeline and total costs - without selling it or sugar coating, so we were going in totally prepared, no surprises. He wasn't kidding when he said we had to start permitting process in summer 2025 to open in time for Memorial Day weekend 2026 either - getting construction permit processed was the biggest wait. Now we opened just in time for summer - and she's a beauty! Pool Boss team coordinated the whole project from start to finish - the designer Michael helped us get the plans and measurements exactly right, even taking into consideration our future addition plans for the property. Tina filed and coordinated a million permit forms for us. Matt & Dan were very patient helping us figure out the on-sight restrictions. The construction itself was very quick and fun to watch (the digging was done with surgical precision!). Special thank you to Joanna for very clear communication throughout! The scheduling and ongoing notifications to keep us apprised of the progress were very helpful! We went with PB's recommended contractors - JBJ for electric (super professional - and again, helped us run everything with future construction projects in mind), and United Stamped Concrete for landscaping (Felipe's team did a phenomenal job with out stamped concrete patio and grading, great attention to detail). The orientation with Eduardo was super clear - we've never operated a pool and he patiently explained every single detail about the equipment and maintenance. The equipment can be controlled from an app too - very convenient and we are looking forward to Tyler making it even smarter. :) Thank you so much! It was a very big (HUGE) decision for us - but we are so happy we trusted you. Our three kids are having the time of their life - this pool brings us so much joy already!! P.S. We went for the Crystal Quartz liner - so pretty, as if you you're in the South of France!!!

I would classify this business as a scam. Used Erik a few times for one off maintenance (should…read morehave stopped there since he never showed when he said he would) and then went into an annual contract where he was supposed to come once a month. Paid upfront flor the year, he came once, never came again and stopped responding to texts and calls. That's right...took our money for the entire year and ran. I'm shocked no one has taken him to court for breech of contract. I'm clearly not the only one who has paid him and not received the product or service.

I've been working with Eric for about a year and a half now, and I even have his first review to…read moreshow how our relationship started. Eric is experienced and generally knows what he's doing. His pricing is also more competitive than most. However, actually getting consistent service from him has been a challenge. Our communication has been rocky from the start, largely because Eric is extremely unorganized. He's often messy with scheduling, and there have been multiple times when we agreed on a visit to a property, and he simply didn't show up--without any notice, and with no response to calls or texts. Another major issue is his temperament. He has a short fuse, and when he believes he's right, he resorts to aggressive language and constant cursing. Even when I prove him wrong and he briefly apologizes, the same behavior returns the next day. I've continued giving Eric business out of patience and understanding for his situation. I've kept him busy and even referred multiple clients to him, which brought him more work. But the last incident was the final straw. He failed to show up at my personal home for four consecutive weeks, despite our agreement for weekly visits every Thursday. As a result, I and my guests couldn't use the pool and hot tub multiple times. He promised to come the following day (Friday), apologized, and then still didn't show up. The final time I followed up, he replied with, "No, we are clearly not coming in the rain. Seriously?" -- without even a proper notice or attempt to reschedule. This level of unreliability and disrespect is unacceptable, especially after all the work and referrals I've given him. I've been patient long enough, but I can no longer tolerate this kind of behavior.
