Went here in September 2025…read more Such a fun place. Think of the times you've been to a bar where the person making your drink really put their all into it. That's this place. Go see for yourselves. We liked it so much. It was our planned stop in route to Moulin Rouge, and that proved to us that we just had to bring our tribe with us on the way back. That's right. Two stops. One night. Enough said.

Dirty Dick may officially win the award for "most questionable name attached to a genuinely great…read moretiki bar." When we arrived the place was dead quiet -- like "did we accidentally come during a private apocalypse?" quiet. But as the evening went on, more people slowly wandered in and the atmosphere picked up. The drinks were fantastic: huge, strong, colorful, and dangerously fun. Exactly what you want from a tiki bar. The bartenders were incredibly sweet too. They answered all our questions, made recommendations based on what we actually like, and clearly knew their menu well. Always appreciate bartenders who don't just point randomly and say "this one." The decor and vibe were awesome -- dark, tropical, quirky, and full-on escapism. Felt like stepping into a hidden island bar in the middle of Paris. Only thing that threw us a little? The music. At several points it sounded less "tropical tiki escape" and more "waiting 45 minutes for Space Mountain at Disney World." Not bad exactly... just unexpectedly wholesome for drinks strong enough to make you text your high school friends at midnight. Overall though, we absolutely loved it and would 100% go back. Great drinks, great staff, fun atmosphere -- and honestly the weird Disney-adjacent soundtrack somehow became part of the charm.

When they saw me sitting there, they threw me out because "my piercing looked like I had been doing drugs". i had to insist to be allowed to as much as wash my hands. They didn't look through my bag or anything, i guess my privates and my piercing were the points of interest? I was later let back in by another security staff member who tried to gaslight me into believing the door was ajar. It was not. I saw it turn in slow motion as I was wiping my blood from my crotch and these two disgusting individuals were standing there shouting at me. Only reason I went back in was because there was no way to get anywhere safely at that time and I had a flight the next day. When I had to pee next I had my camera ready but they only did that once.

At some point during the above amazing "conversation" He asked where I was going And I said Paris And I asked where he was going And he said Paris And then I joked, "Maybe I'll come see you again tonight" At which point he turned to his manager and said, "Can we put her on the list?" In my head: EEEEEEEEKKKK!!!!!!!! From my mouth: Oh, yeah, I mean, whatever man. Cool. He played at La Machine du Moulin Rouge (Like, inside the old Moulin Rouge!!!!) Observations at La Machine du Moulin Rouge: All the bar staff wore these cute, incredibly French stripey t-shirts. The drinks were an extraordinarily reasonable 4 euros a pop. I learned about a new drink. It's called mojito a la champagne. It's a mojito, but you put the champagne where the soda water used to be. You should get it. I also learned that "tequila" is also "tequila" in French. I love the cramped, super uncomfortable smoking room at the front where you can squeeze yourself against an ungodly number of attractive Frenchmen. I was asked if I had MDMA maybe 6 times in 2 hours. French bouncers are maybe the nicest bouncers in the whole entire world. French gigs are maybe the smelliest gigs you will ever go to in your life.

In this elegant hotel, after navigating valeted sports cars, chauffeur driven Maybachs, and the nicest classic Citroen performance sedan I've seen, you enter a lobby cocktail lounge that is the Canlis of cocktail lounges! From the valet and door staff to the hostess, maitre d and elegant servers the service could not have been much finer. Including coat check from the table and lounge settee with chairs. The bar appears to be full of whatever you would like but a signature cocktail menu that reads like a beautiful coffee table book is given to everyone. The drinks with names like Corn, Apple, etc are given to elaborate cocktails that are crafted with multiple layers of ingredients. Seems weird but everyone loved theirs and we all shared sips. I highly recommend that here if you are familiar with your companions. Call your banker first as $30 per drink is average! But the girl I raised bought it so whatever? Wish I photographed that menu!! Service is bright with ample and thoughtful olive and nuts assortments and water backs for all without asking. For a splurge I could not urge enough of you to try!! Seeing this hotel property alone is worth it right down to the gilded bathrooms excellently attended. We did not try the food as they were just about to convert to first dinner service and we had Xmas Eve dinner for the family booked at a different Michelin star restaurant later. I'll bet the food is the shizzle though!!!

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.

So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!
