No complaints whatsoever other than it may be a little hard to find. Even though i was a little late, they received my daughter and i with open arms. I initially looked up best facials near me, and this spa popped up. So thank you to the Yelp users...without you guys i would've never known. So i have a 14 y/o with acne. She started to peel..BADLY..with Dr. prescribed medications. Hence our visit. I wish i should have taken a before and after. Her face looked brighter after the session..so im hoping its something i can maintain every month for her. Either way....we will make our way back eventually read more

I have to come in here and update my review since the spa moved to another location and along with that they added new services. First of all the new spot is beautiful! They have added several new facials and I got a lymphatic facial with quartz. It honestly took away all the puffiness I had around my eyes and along my jawline. I also got a detox for my body. I love how my body looks and how fresh my body feels after riding it from all the toxins. I also got a customized essential oil roller to help me with my stress levels. You can pick you oil and your roller which comes with different precious stones. Thank you Kathy and Monica I love this place so much. read more

Monica is very pleasant and takes good care of me since is my first time getting a body treatment she takes the time to explain the procedures and what there for. Great customer service! Kathy is very helpful and accommodating! I love their infrared sauna! Place is clean and well kept. Sauna has a music that massages you. Very relaxing and private. I purchased the 1 month session and its all worth it! Will keep on re purchasing and I might also try their other services (slimming, facials, spa, body wraps, detox, etc) read more

I have been coming to Kathy for a long time and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! She's great with facials and body treatments. I usually come in for a facial ($65) every other week and back facials but the massages are great to! Highly recommend!!!!!! read more

Couple days ago I had my hydra-facial with Kathy and as always it was a wonderful experience. Kathy is amazing and during the whole procedure I felt like in heaven. Her hands calm and relax me and I wish the facial lasts forever. And results are as always amazing. Skin feels and looks great. I've been going to Esencia salon for a few years for both body treatments and facials and this place and the girls who work here are the best, trust me, I've tried so many places all over LA and Orange county. I can't wait till my next treatment here Thank you Kathy and girls!! read more

I called to get some more information on a gift cert. For my wife for Christmas. Some lady answered the phone with "Hello"? Not with the name of the biz, or how can I help you. So very unprofessional, that I had to confirm that it was a real business or something they do out of their house. She must get that question alot because she then asked how I got this number. I told her yelp (I guess they now know I was telling the truth). I was going to spend alot of money, but if they can properly answer the phone then forget it. I'm going to Burke, can't go wrong with Burke. Well, as they say. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. read more

This place is amazing! I felt super comfortable during my detox. I honestly felt super pampered! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this place!! I have so many good things to say... Skin Care: I was skeptical due to my extremely sensitive skin, after my first treatment I immediately saw results and continued to see them throughout my following appointments. My skin has improved a lot...plus the massage throughout the facial is amazing! Body Treatments: Im obsessed! After 3 kids with one c-section I was considering several surgical procedures. Their treatments helped my body in so many ways...plus I love that my husband noticed a difference after my first treatment. Thank you ladies from Esencia Salon and Spa, love you girls : ) read more

This place is heaven sent! You can't put a price on your health and Beauty, but if you do put a price make sure you visit Esencia Spa, they are highly professionals. They know what they are doing and you will see immediate results. I personally do the Detox, this has cleanse my body and make my skin feel and look firmer and softer. With just one session I saw a huge difference. They also keep you hydrated during the session. The lighting and music is a perfect touch to the session you feel beyond relaxed, you have a professional giving you a body scrub before they wrap you into a cocoon, and then you sweat all the toxics. I am excited to try a hydrafacial. I've seen wonders from other happy clients and definitely look forward to those results. Esencia has great prices too for the amazing quality service they give. I found my home away from home! Go pamper yourself ladies! read more

Ask for linda 10/10 experience ! She's the best made me feel comfortable and safe with my surgery

Love my facials here!!! I was going to the Westside of LA for a good facial and sought out some of the highly rate techs . Esencia Salon is on the same level or exceeds. To have such great services in my area at a reasonable price is great. The facials have been transformative for me. I getting close to that beautiful complexion I always wanted. Go and check this place out you will not be sorry. read more

Oh gosh, I love this place. I've gone 3 or 4 times for facials and I always feel well taken care of. My skin feels so much healthier afterward. I get the personalized facial, which is $75. I've been other places where I leave feeling clean and moisturizer, but here, my skin just feels great and I see the difference. Plus, unlike other places, they don't push products or unnecessary services on you. Also, they answer all my skincare questions so I know how to take care of it going forward. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great facial and a great experience. I will definitely keep coming back! read more

Kathy is so amazing! I took my mom for a facial with her and I could see a huge difference when I picked her up. She's a pro in her field and just know that you'll be in good hands here. They're currently moving to Pico Rivera. We look forward to booking our next appointment with her at the new spot. read more

If I could describe this place with one word it would be.....AMAZING!!!! Monica was the person who did my facial and let me tell you she was very skilled and professional. What I really liked about this place is that they customize your facials according to you skins needs. The owner Kathy was also very kind and super attentive. I already made my next appointment and I plan on referring plenty of my friends and family!...hope my review helps those who are looking for an amazing facial spot. read more

I Love this place, the results are amazing. I've had upper body treatments to help mold my body, facials, and mesotherapy. The mesotherapy was to help tighten my skin but it ended up also helping even out my skin pigmentation. I've seen results from all treatments in a short amount of time. I'm addicted to this place, the owner Kathy is a sweetheart and really knows what she's doing. read more

First time getting a massage and facial. Pretty great experience. My favorite part was the facial. 1st thing: how to get there: when you are in front of the building, you are going to go through the arch and go through the door that has the name of the tax business on it. So should now see the esencia on the bottom half of the door. Once you are in knock on the door on your left and they will open the door for you. The massage was pretty good. My skin felt very smooth afterwards. I liked that she varied the pressure. She went in first with her knuckles but then massaged it through afterwards. The facial was my favorite. First she massaged my face. Afterwards she removed the dead skin on my face. Then she used vapor to open up my pores. Once my pores where open, she removed all the blackheads from my nose. She then used a wand that gave out bits of electricity; It was very gentle. Then she put a mask, very cooling. Later, she put a little powder on my face to control the shine. My skin was left smooth and clean. I would come back for another treatment. read more

I love coming to Esencia Spa the staff is very friendly and professional. I have made this my regimen for body contouring and cellulite treatments. You will see results within the first 3 sessions. I recommend purchasing a package deal to get the best results as you will need more than one session and its most cost effective. Esencia spa is my new home. I had been going to Yan's skin center in Downey and then followed her to Norwalk and then again when she was practicing out of her own home in cerritos. This says a lot about my loyalty. But, long story short in the 17 years I had been going to her I never realized how unsanitary her work space and tools were until I decided not to take a nap while my mask was on and look around. Let's just say...after 17 years, I left that day and never came back. I was desperate to find an esthetician. My best friend told me about this place in pico Rivera, so I sent my cousin as a guinea pig lol She came back and reported; She was OBSESSED. So my sister quickly made an appointment with her and again, she was obsessed. When it was my turn, I was obsessed. Honestly I don't think I was EVER getting a great facial to start with. I tell everyone about miss Kathy and her great staff! P.s everyone will notice how great your skin looks just by the first treatment. After I had a facial I decided to run some errands and got so many compliments on my complexion :) read more

Best spa ever! The owner is so lovely and so is her staff she. She has the best recovery techniques. I am thankful for everything that she has done for me and my well-being. Visit her to experience her skills and product she has to offer. I went to at least 5 spas and finally meet my match to meet my needs. read more

Excellent service I messaged yesterday very last minute to book a facial for today and they were able to get me in. Very accommodating to the client's needs. My facial was an hour long, which I thought was great, Catherine did my facial she is the best! She is very gentle and listens to your needs. The room was neat and clean with a relaxing atmosphere . Overall I am very pleased and will definitely be coming back! read more

Long over due review! Love, love, love this salon & spa. Kathy saved my face several years ago when I came to her. She IS very knowledgeable, honest, gentle and understanding. It was never about getting me to spend money on services that I didn't need or how much I spent, it was always about my skin. Unlike other places where that's all they care about...how many add on services they can get you to spend on. Not at Esencia! She takes pride in what she does. Her salon and spa smells great, it's very clean and is super relaxing. Sadly, I haven't been to Esencia in a while because of my busy schedule. I recently started to breakout again, so I decided to get a 2x1 deal from ANOTHER place since my daughter needed a facial too. Bad, bad, bad idea! I not only broke out more, but also got a skin infection. I'm taking medication to get cleared and as soon as I am - back to Esencia! Love this place! read more

Love this place 100% recommended. I went in for face treatments. I was set up with esthetician Monica she is great, knows what shes doing . I wanted to give this business the glowing review it deserves. I started coming here 2 months ago and I'm hooked with the services and level of professionalism they provide. I am almost a year post op from my bbl with Dr Ghavami and am so happy I found a place to help me maintain my results. I highly recommend the detox and upper/lower body contouring. I always leave feeling super snatched and amazing. Kathy, the owner, is the sweetest and most knowledgeable woman. I always enjoy my sessions with her and when she isn't available Leslie R is top tier! Her detoxes leave you sweating so good and skin glowing!! I love the complimentary facial massage during the detox it's such a nice touch during the service! I will continue to support this fabulous small business! Thank you to all the ladies that make each session so relaxing and special. Lastly, Mike who works the front desk is so friendly and helpful booking my appointments ahead of time, I appreciate him for his professionalism! read more

This was my first facial ever and I was very pleased and satisfied. From the second I walked in it had a very relaxing feel. The lady in the front was very nice . I have been going to Kathy for almost 3 years. I don't think I can go anywhere else after going to her. She is honest about what you need and provides recommendations that are best for your skin type. She does not pressure you to purchase products and is very professional. The location is modern, clean, relaxing, and inviting. I recommend booking an appointment in advance as she gets booked up pretty quickly. read more

This review is way overdue. I've been going to this place for about 10 months on and off for body sculpting and sauna and this place is amazing. The results are unbelievable. I wish I took "before" picture so I can show the results. I am not only couple of size smaller, but my body is so much firmer. Before writing my review, I read some previous ones and I could not believe 1 * review. I can understand that you may have misunderstanding or be upset about cancellation policy, but it is so unfair to put down the whole place and call it "mediocre". I lived in West LA for several years and tried a lot of places in Hollywood and Beverly Hills, I also tried a few places in Long Beach and Orange county and honestly for body sculpting I got the best results in Esencia. And BTW cancellation policies in all reputable businesses of this type are very strict, because that's how they operate. And their prices are waaay better then in Hollywood or OC. But on top of great prices and great results you really feel pampered and cared about here. Those girls (Monica, Janet, Kathy) are simply amazing, so personal, so warm, so kind. They really care about you getting the best results, they would go extra mile to make you happy and satisfied. For sculpting I had Monica and I can't say enough good words about her. She and her hands are amazing!! And even with sauna sessions my experience here is so much better than other places where they count every minute and rush you. Here I really relax and enjoy for 1 hr. Thank you, Monica, Janet and Kathy. Love you girls! Now its time to try facial read more

AVOID at all costs. If you care about your health and safety, do not come here. I got liposuction and came here for a post op lymphatic massage 6 days after my surgery. First, you walk in and they don't take any info from you. They don't have you fill out any forms or ask you any questions about your procedure. then, they don't help you get out of your garments. How crazy is that? You're fresh out of surgery and coming specially for post op healing and they just walk you to a room and say get undressed. Every where else I've been since here helps you and this is the norm! The massage was so painful I started crying and almost passed out. The lady used a metal tool on me with no warning... my plastic surgeon was in SHOCK when he heard this and told me no person with an actual massage license would ever use tools on someone 6 days post op. When I told the lady working on me to stop because it was so painful, she said this is normal and everyone she sees cried, screams, and squirms. THAT IS NOT NORMAL! A POST OP massage is supposed to help heal you and pain means to STOP something is wrong. I've seen 2 different LICENSED massage therapists for post op massages and they both help you prep by getting undressed and help put your garments back on. Neither used tools until WEEKS after my procedure date. Please do not go here. This place should be shut down. read more
