This company was AWFUL to work with. Super slow response time to emails as well as phone calls, ill-informed employees, and delayed return of paperwork. They even had my final papers incorrect and due to a typo (not sure how you make a mistake like that on something so important) had an extra $7000+ in the 'money due' column. I worked with Escrow Leaders for the sale of my condo in Aliso Viejo. They ordered the closing escrow documents late from my mortgage company (just a few days before our home was supposed to close) which ended up delaying the close of escrow, and costing my husband and I more money. I also had to call my mortgage company every day to check on the status of the paperwork-- for whatever reason Escrow Leaders didn't handle it. They gave us a slight credit to make up for this, but it wasn't worth the headache. The final straw for me, was that when we finally received the closing documents, it didn't state anywhere that I had made a final payment to my mortgage company (which I had to do last minute because the closing date was delayed). Escrow Leaders insisted that the payment was accounted for, that I would not be owed any money, and if I was it would be a nominal amount. This didn't make sense to me-- as I had paid the mortgage payment for the month AND a day rate. About a month later, I get a check from my mortgage company for the amount of my mortgage payment. Selling your home is stressful enough, if you have the option, don't go with Escrow Leaders, they just cause more of a headache. read more

That means that she tracks ME down (a busy agent) to get the items she needs quickly so that there are no hold ups on a deal. I have had to use Candee at escrow leaders through an investor who required her and in our last transaction she messed up the loan documents, messed up the final hud by 20k dollars and when I asked over and over and over for a period of 3 months I have yet to get an answer and instead she calls me and takes a sarcastic tone with me and hangs up the phone. little does she know I am trying to help her cause my clients are wanting to sue her for the discrepancy and they should. she then tells my investor she doesn't want to do business with me?! who the heck does this woman think she is??!! she messed up my relationship with my client and caused me to lose a 20 million dollar listing cause she has failed to respond to her error on the final hud she signed so she is taking the approach to yell and hang up? maybe that's her approach to not owning up to such a blunder. I will advise my clients to take legal action. don't ever use them. the note was wrong and final figures. worst service in my 20 years of real estate. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau thanks to candee and her customer service. read more

They were poor at returning phone calls/emails, I had to personally revise some of the documents myself and, lastly, after I had confirmed with them the funds had been received, the "officer" called me to ask "when are you sending the money?" To my disbelief, they couldn't figure out that the money which was sitting in the account was ours - it differed from their accounting by $200 or so...we, obviously, paid the amount they asked us to. No accountability...the only reason they get 2 stars is because the assistant was actually somewhat helpful...the "officer" was useless! read more
