In reality, after a month of lowball offers, deals falling apart, and absolutely none of the promised bidding-war fireworks, he suggested we reduce the price even further , despite similar homes, many not nearly as nice as ours, selling for more. We were completely perplexed. Every time we asked what was going on, there seemed to be another explanation about something supposedly wrong with the house, but never much acknowledgment that maybe , just maybe, the strategy itself wasn't working. At some point, when your beautiful home starts being treated like the last dented can in the clearance aisle, you know something has gone sideways.
