I like the company's products, obviously, as I've bought their offering numerous times. I know there are other companies who make similarly high-end competing products. but today is a great example of why I stick with Escort. I purchased a $650 radar over 2 years ago and completely out of the warranty period. The customer service I received from Michael was fantastic. He was prompt, efficient, didn't waste my time doing meaningless diagnostics, and friendly. The unit sat baking in the sun, fell a few times off the windshield, and didn't spend it's life in the protective case they provide. I didn't abuse it, but it was treated as a tool, not a piece of gentle consumer electronics. Yet, Escort Inc is repairing the unit for their standard $99 fee, a unit that they shipped to me well over 2 years ago, and I'm certain costs them more than $99 landed to their offices in Ohio. That's incredibly customer service. To get that level of support from Apple or Verizon I have to pay a monthly subscription/insurance fee. There is no financial reason that Escort should repair my unit for $99, when they could easily convert me into a sale of a newer Escort 360c product. And yet they are fixing my device, advising me that it's still the latest/greatest technology and replacing the mount at no cost. In 3 weeks, I'll have a brand new radar detector. read more

Have owned a 360, and then upgraded to the 360c. I must say there radar outperforms ANY other radar by far! A great quality piece of equipment, worth the price tag by far! I have also had to use to their customer service for an issue with the mount (was almost a year old and worn/breaking) and they replaced it to me at no charge and shipped it expeditiously! I was blown away by that! The max 360c has saved me countless times! I honestly look forward to upgrading to the Redline 360c and taking advantage of the new features! Bought a Max 360C Laser keeps alerting at start up. I need to ask Customer service why. It's impossible to get them. Very very very poor based on other ratings here and my personal experience. For investing $700 on a detector and to ignore your customer base there simply is no excuse. I don't care to hear about blaming Covid in the mobile work environment. Purchased radar detector and dashcam combo June 9. Product arrived 1 week later and is fine... works as advertised. However, getting customer service after the sale is impossible! They blame covid, but they sure didn't have any issues taking my order or money and delivering product under covid conditions. Absolutely horrendous customer service. Their products are overpriced junk. Recently purchased a Redline EX, but returned after a week. A LOT of K band false alerts. Ka band alerts coming at approximately 0.5 mile out every time. Changed the settings multiple times, but still same issue. Had an iX prior & it performed adequately. I had to pay for return shipping, even though their product was defective. Filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General office. Probably a waste of time, but the more people know about this shoddy company the better. Oh & I decided to go with a Uniden R7. A million times better than Escort products read more

4 stars for the concept, but 3 stars for practicality....this review is based on their SmartMirror, a 2 in 1: rearview mirror and a GPS. Boy, it looked good at the store, with a GPS screen right up there so you don't need to look up and down so much at normally where the GPS is on the dash, or in your lap, or worse yet, holding it lol. So thought that this would be the invention of the century, until you actually try it. One, the screen is a lot smaller, which I knew going in but thought I could get used to it, and willing to make that sacrifice. Two, though was the lack of portability, or for my shotgun companion to enter info into: wasn't going to take down my rearwiew mirror lol. Absolutely fantastic Radar ( Max) and Radar company !!! I dropped my Max on the ground accidentally aqd the display went as well as the whole radar quit working. I called Escort/Passport and they sent me shipping label based on the repair plan I chose, which was the complete service repair and update.I got it back in under 2 weeks and It literally looks like they sent me a brand new Max !! I mean all scratches gone, new and updated software and features, and sent me a brand new updated cord with USB in it, I couldn't be happier with the radar detector its self, and then customer service does a more then Fantastic top self job on repairs ect.....!!!!!! I went into the store in regards to a ticket I received yesterday with my 6 month old radar detector that didn't go off. At first the lady at the desk said it would take a few days because the technicians were out to lunch.. I said, how long would it take if they weren't out to lunch and she said she didn't know. I offered to leave it there and pick it up later that day. They were nice enough to call and say it was ready but only to try to sell me into a new one. My girlfriend purchased this detector for $350 with the assumption it was covered under the ticket reimbursement program. I just got a ticket last night because the radar didn't go off. $130 later they repaired the antenna and said I had no coverage even though the antenna wasn't working with no explanation as to what was actually wrong. They were rude at the desk and couldn't explain anything. I politely said have a nice day with no response from the employee. I won't buy another detector from escort and recommend for you to go elsewhere. Unless you're buying a new product with false promises I would go to another business. I received my radar detector back about two weeks ago and now my audio does not work. The volume is all the way up and I've toggled the mute on/off to make sure it wasn't that. I don't know what's going on at Escort but quality control is definitely suffering! Great product (that i never received) worst customer service ever. They use UPS and specify that a signature in person must be received. I work 7-7pm and have no one to sign for me. The Escort and UPS both refuse to work with me to get the item. The only drop off stations that i'd be able to get to are all close by 6pm. The PassportMAX is the WORST Radar Detector I have ever owned (Have owned Radar Dectors for 20 years). Detector doesn't detect police radar until they are within sight. The display has text that is too small to see. The display is so dim that it can not be read on a sunny day. Stay away from this product. When I contacted Escort Customer Service, they acknowledged all of these problems but REFUSED to take the product back. read more
