I wasn't there to do a long session, so I got a couple tasters, one including Peche Mortal and the other a NEIPA. Two very different styles and both extremely well done. Beyond that, the space had a very old-fashioned look. Really nice wooden fixtures and a very warm, welcoming vibe. The server was also attentive and friendly, but also knew when to let people sit back and enjoy their drinks. You probably don't need me to tell you, but yes, you should go.

For $30 a person (price can vary depending on season, it was $25 in January), you can choose an assortment of eggs (regular, benedict, scottish), sausage, bacon, creton, salmon rilette, chicken & waffles, pancakes, toast, bagels, garlic potatoes, quiche, beans etc with all you can drink beer (any on tap!) and mimosas. Bar Darling is doing the most, but I am seated for it. My experience at Darling could be described as my perfect day - a break from walking in delicious fall weather, French wine, oysters, french fries, and good company. This is the kind of spot you can find yourself here for the whole day without noticing. It has the vibe that you are in someone's house who has 100 stories to tell, and I love places like that. We have been to hundreads of breweries and this has got to be in my top few. Part of it is that I…read moream partial to good sours on the sweet side and complex hazies. Not only did they have both but they were some of the best I have had. The 20 - Somnia Extererri Mango smoothy sour was so rich sweet and sour that it reminded me of a tropical cocktail but I would rather this one. No notes. The 6 - Above the Nuage hazy IPA and the 10 - Commutatio hazy IPA were both super hazy and fruity that you couldnt see even through the sample. It was complex and bright. Just what I look for in hazies. The seating was amazing too. Plenty of varied seating from long couches that could hold big groups, to picnic benches, and even a few single seating on the side. Even with the heat, the trees blocked out most of the sun so it was always a good tempurature without needing unbrellas The line would go from a few people to out the door quickly but they went through them pretty fast. When there arent many people (and depending on the bartender) they give samples which was how we got to find some of these great ones, but when its long they tend to shy away from samples so wait for it to calm down if you want some. I hope I can come back to Montreal again some time to come back to this one. I will miss it and recomend it to anyone visiting.
