Their drink menu is larger than their food menu, but despite that they have a nice variety. I didn't see any pattern with the food - there was a mix of plate sizes and types of cuisines. The pulled pork sliders looked good so I went with those; the dish came with two sliders and a side of coleslaw. I really enjoyed this - there was a generous helping of pork in each slider and the sauce had a nice tang to it. I'm normally not a fan of slaw since it is usually cream-based, but this one wasn't so it was quite refreshing and a good contrast to the pork. Service was great, the entire team was friendly. Overall, this was a really good find in Montreal - if you're looking for something low-key with solid food then this would be ideal. I'm interested how the vibe changes at night, so I would be open to returning in the evening for a drink and to explore more of their menu.

Being near McGill and Concordia Universities, the area has a huge contingent of cool kids and not that dispersed of a demographic. That's probably why I've never eaten on Rue Crescent ... until yet. It seemed like I stumbled on fish and chips at an opportune moment when they were priced on special. I think of this as the classic dish of the British Isles and, even though I have none of this heritage, it's a dish I very much like and order often. The quality always ranges from 3 to 5, so it's also reliable. The fish and chips platter was very good. Rather than being several pieces, it was a very large piece of cod. For the value received, I was not complaining. The place looks like so many other taverns in Montreal. I was happy to be eating inside. I was surprised to see people eating outside on the street platforms when it was humid and miserable that day. The service did the job, but it was a little nondescript. Eventually, a different waitress brought my food after everyone else had already finished eating. By then, I told her I no longer wanted it because the entire dining experience had been ruined. The food looked like it had been thrown together at the last minute, and no one offered a sincere apology or took responsibility for what happened. What made the experience even worse was that my original waitress largely ignored me throughout the ordeal. There was no communication, no concern for the unreasonable delay, and no effort to make things right. As the only Black male in my group, I left feeling like I was treated differently. I can't say with certainty what motivated the service I received, but the way I was overlooked while everyone else was served left me questioning whether discrimination played a role. Regardless of the reason, no customer should be treated this way. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes this review seriously by looking into what happened and ensuring every customer is treated with the same level of respect and professionalism!!

To get in you would use the street view door, after 11 they put a huge black curtain and you have to come in from the garbage side which I've never seen before, usually they use the side door that leads to the place easy access. When I came out I wasn't sure where I was but eventually figured it out. All and all it was great service the DJ was alright as well the place gets super cramped and you will be standing unless you buy a bottle.

It was okay... I can't really tell what the brown sauce is... It is a bit sweet. On my side, I ordered the tacos chips with guacamole. I didn't like the chips since it was hurting my teeth but the guacamole was decent in taste. My drink of choice of that night was a Negroni, I didn't like it and they put too much ice and so little liquid for the price I paid. I didn't taste the orange as I like at another place in Montreal that makes a better negroni for half the price on a Friday as part of their special. Location wise, easy access to the metro. Food-wise, some are worth to try but the price is not for the faint of heart on this one. The conference, it was 5 stars. Oh... P.S the lady decided to tip herself 4$ from my overall food bill. I didn't know it could happen unless she was expecting me to be cheap with tipping.
