A go to spot for great burgers, brunches or desserts. Servers are always friendly and the music they play rarely disappoints. Their lattes are on par with most cafes I've been to, and they cook Impossible burgers better than anywhere else. They also have some seriously good sangria and other cocktails. Can't recommend this place enough.

Fried Curd cheese ( very very greasy )

Maybe because I had it delivered by uber eats but I wasn't a fan. Burger was huge cold and soggy, no flavour. French fries were half cooked. The fried curds were so greasy it stained my table cloth. Maybe If I actually went to eat there it might be better but so far it's a no go.

I was pleasantly surprised by the brunch here and I honestly think that it is better than their dinner. We had great service, delicious comforting food and all that at a good value. I came here with a friend at around 9:45 on a Saturday morning. The location is good, with parking easy to find on the side streets. When we walked in, we were greeted by a waitress who then seated us. The place is small so I'm sure it can get busy later in the morning. There was one other couple there when we arrived but it filled up by the time we left. Their menu is filled with unique options and everything looked amazing. My friend and I decided to share the first two things on the menu because one looked too small and the other, too large. We had: Simple classic ($9):two eggs, grilled beef salami, with sliced challah toast and tater tots J.D's classic ($16):two eggs, grilled beef salami, bacon, turkey sausage, sliced challah toast, challah French toast with maple syrup and tater tots The food came out quickly and was fresh and hot. We both loved it. I love the jewish-inspired food (challah and beef salami) and it reminded me a bit of Arthur's without the pretentiousness and tiny portions. I can't wait to try other things on their menu. Two small downsides. It cost 3$ for filtered coffee which I found pretty steep. Also, there was no fruit with the meal (not even an orange slice) so the plate lacked a bit of colour. Overall: 4.5 stars

The orozco burger

The food is good, some burgers are better tasting than other ones, my fav is fancy chick but there's one for every taste. The order takes a long time to arrive at the table and i find it is expensive. Two burgers and two drinks almost 70 dollars with the tip and taxes. I mean they use good ingredients but it's a lot for a burger. (At least for me)

The restaurant is dimly lit with candles and the bar is warm and welcoming. The service is personable and the waiter made great recommendations. The duck breast was the star of the show with the crispy layer of skin and well seasoned tender meat. The mushroom conserva also earned its stars with a great combination of savory umami with a hint of spice. The deconstructed croque madam special was also decent. The trouble came with the cod which was very salty. We asked to send it back and our waiter was gracious enough to help us replace it with the agnolotti. While the agnolotti tasted great, we would've liked the sauce to be a little thicker so it would stick to the agnolotti. We had white wine to accompany our meal which helped tie the meal together. Overall, I would say Entre-Deux is a great meal that gets you full with a reasonable price tag. And 11/10 for vibes and service.

This small-ish, cozy café/resto/bar in NDG serves both lunch and dinner and while the aesthetic and ambiance can seem quite lowkey and unassuming, the quality of the food is absolutely highkey, menu is well thought out & reflects fresh seasonal ingredients and above all, incredibly delicious! (Chef is from Manu Cornuto). They have great selection of natural wines (my fave) and they carry a lot of Dieu du vin wines (another fave local wine company). We ordered a bottle of wine for the evening but the bartender is the mixologist from Cloakroom so I can't wait to return and try their cocktails as well. It is a tapas menu made to share but the portions were surprisingly quite generous and we ordered 3 'appetizers', 1 'main' and a dessert between the two of us. The beef tartare and the bitter lettuce salad were both amazing (and I was too hungry to take a photo of these dishes). The grilled cauliflower with mornay sauce alongside the braised rabbit was also to die for. I am not usually a dessert gal but I was very grateful that we tried their dessert of the day as it was so good! Based on reading the menu and their story, I knew I was going to like this place but I can't wait to bring more of my friends here. It is worth mentioning that I thought the pricing here is quite fair for what you get, especially seeing as many restos upped their prices significantly post-pandemic. It could also be that they have 25% off all wine and cocktails on Sundays and we came on a Sunday (it was a very nice surprise ). Overall: 5 Food: 5 Service: 5 Value: 5 Ambiance/Atmosphere: 3.8

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

(Special props for the chardonnay that I had with my lobster dish btw) I started with the polpete; three substantial veal meatballs that could easily have been a person's complete meal. They were delicious, light in texture, and every bite harmonious. I followed this with the lobster fettucine which again was a happy discovery. Hints of garlic and citrus played off the lobster beautifully and the wine that was recommended was in perfect accord. I was impressed. Very impressed. My seven other friends also raved about their choices. The lasagna earned the crossed-eyes of bliss from two of my friends, the mushroom and truffle pasta actually stopped one of my friends from talking for about five minutes. We were a large group so I can't report on the other meals on the far side of the table but as we all said our goodbyes everyone was in agreement that they had all had an excellent meal. Food comas ensued. Grazie Mille!!
