When they offered to stay open longer to accommodate my party of 2 I was sold. Attitude is everything and Mañana exhibited the right sort of can-do attitude. Nobody seemed concerned about staying a little later than planned and when I ordered a glass of red wine it was delightful to learn that they had a choice of open bottles from which to choose. Besides the alcohol, allI I did here was share a platter of (deliciously satisfying) nachos but between that, the colorful and decorative interior, and the welcome hospitality I have to admit I liked Mañana somewhat better than the place down the street which displayed little of the same. If you find yourself in Montreal and desirous of Mexican fare Mañana proved a welcome surprise, one to which I'd happily return.

I came here during my work trip to Montreal with some coworkers and really didn't expect the tacos to be anything special, I thought they would be good but like I said didn't expect anything extraordinary. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Tacos since I'm not the biggest fan of eating too many fried things these days and I'm so happy that I stuck what that. The shrimp tacos had SO SO SO MUCH flavor, I ended up exchanging a beef taco with my coworker just so we could try something different from what we ordered. I tried the beef taco and it definitely was really good packed with good flavors. Since I had the beef taco first I really didn't think the shrimp tacos would be crazy different but hands down it was 1000 times better, tastier, and even juicer than my first taco. My coworker even said so for herself, she definitely enjoyed the shrimp taco the most over all the tacos she had ordered! If I were in the area again, I wouldn't think twice about coming here again and most certainly would try to sit downstairs since the ambience seemed more of a vibe for a group of people! I would hands down give this place a 5/5! YOU NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE!!!

The steak tacos were pretty good but some of the steak was pretty tough. The chicken tacos were great and probably the best seasoned of the three. The pork tacos were good and the pineapple offered a good contrast. They gave a large bowl of guacamole on the side which was really good and made all the tacos a lot better. They also put fries on top of the tacos, which was a fun addition but ultimately made all the tacos taste too similar. Usually different taco flavours have red onion or cabbage or diced tomatoes as a garnish, but in this case they were just topped with fries so there wasn't enough flavour distinction and all the tacos taste the same after a while. Despite that, you really can't beat the value offered by the taco box so we would certainly be tempted to buy it again when we're craving tacos.
