When they offered to stay open longer to accommodate my party of 2 I was sold. Attitude is everything and Mañana exhibited the right sort of can-do attitude. Nobody seemed concerned about staying a little later than planned and when I ordered a glass of red wine it was delightful to learn that they had a choice of open bottles from which to choose. Besides the alcohol, allI I did here was share a platter of (deliciously satisfying) nachos but between that, the colorful and decorative interior, and the welcome hospitality I have to admit I liked Mañana somewhat better than the place down the street which displayed little of the same. If you find yourself in Montreal and desirous of Mexican fare Mañana proved a welcome surprise, one to which I'd happily return.

I'm not vegan or a full-time vegetarian, but I do try to limit how much meat I eat, and I was more than satisfied with everything here. The margarita was fantastic, the black bean dip was fantastic, the service was fantastic, and finally, the GUACAMOLE was fantastic! I would definitely encourage anyone in the area to check this place out. Sometimes the places you stumble across end up being the best.

The chicken tacos are basically fried chicken strips on melted cheese and a flour tortilla. Chorizo tacos seem like the chorizo came out of a tube of soy chorizo. The steak tacos were pretty good but some of the steak was pretty tough. The chicken tacos were great and probably the best seasoned of the three. The pork tacos were good and the pineapple offered a good contrast. They gave a large bowl of guacamole on the side which was really good and made all the tacos a lot better. They also put fries on top of the tacos, which was a fun addition but ultimately made all the tacos taste too similar. Usually different taco flavours have red onion or cabbage or diced tomatoes as a garnish, but in this case they were just topped with fries so there wasn't enough flavour distinction and all the tacos taste the same after a while. Despite that, you really can't beat the value offered by the taco box so we would certainly be tempted to buy it again when we're craving tacos.
