GOING OUT OF BUISNESS?…read more I took my 2013 Ford Fusion to Ruffners Transmission on 03/08/2021 for a diagnoses after a lovely, reassuring conversation with claimed owner Adrian V Soto (Soto Enterprises DBA Ruffners Transmission Company) and although the transaction was far from seamless and I was mislead regarding the timeframe multiple times, we ended the transaction 03/22/2022 on a good note. I called several days later with concern of an issue, the vehicle drove a little rough and a bit shaky, I was told that it was an engine rebuild so it's not going to RUN perfectly smoothly. Adrian: "it should adjust to your driving" Diagnoses Fee: $135 Transmission Rebuild: $4,015.12 Programming Fee: $236.16 Total: $4,386.16 On 12/19/2022 we took the vehicle in again from a leak, we were told the Transmission Seal and Axle Shift need work. I let my husband handle the transaction however being that the repair was likely cased caused by the transmission and shouldn't the seal have been replaced during rebuild I did not agree to the charges! I don't know much about cars! We paid $564.20 So far, for a total $4,815.48 that Soto Enterprise DBA Runffner Transmission has charge to maintenance my vehicle to refuses to honor the warranty provided stating: "I am in $200K plus debt why should I care about your issue" "Im closing down anyway" "I was going to help you out but im not anymore" My frustration was warranted based on the situation that Ruffners put me in both financially and emotionally!

I found Adrian through offerup when looking for a new transmission for my truck, he let me know that they had units available and had the ability to build the trans depending on my power goals. I wanted a stock rebuild just to get the truck going again. I towed my truck to the shop and within about a week it was all squared away, it felt brand new and I had no complaints for about 1000 miles. Unfortunately the truck suddenly wouldn't go into reverse, a freak accident cause a piece to break inside the trans (this was not their fault) I hit up Adrian to let him know my issue and he immediately got me into the shop despite them being fully booked. I received my truck again today and it feels like a brand new truck again. I normally don't take any of my vehicles to shops because I work on my cars myself, I have been for almost 10+ years. But due to my current living situation I don't have any place to do big jobs like a trans swap. From one mechanic to the general public, I trust Adrian and his workers to get the job done! He looked into some wiring spots that could have been causing the power stabilizers 30amp fuse to blow each time I plugged the trailer into my shore power. We couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. Apparently, they just started working again on their own! He also took a quick look at the skylight that I replaced on my own and offered some recommendations for keeping my roof and roof utilities in good shape. My friend wanted to get his windows tinted at his house so he called Benjamin and he set up a day to come out to San Marcos. We initially told him that the lighting in the garage was not ample for a decent tint job but he told us no problem. Well, the next day as we inspected it, there were tons of bubbles and not just from water, but from dust and even an EYELASH as well as LIGHT GAPS! The tint wasn't even cut to the right size on the easiest windows; the small flat quarter panels, and the brand of the tint was unknown by all tinters I had asked.This immediately told my friend and I that the job was done very poorly. We called him the next day but he refused to answer from my friend's number as he already knew why we were calling but gladly answered any other number we contacted him with. When he finally answered, he asked my friend and I to go to Oceanside so he could inspect it (even though these were his mistakes and he is "mobile"). So we went, and Ben only agreed to do the small, tiny windows and then told us that the lighting was not good enough, even after we had initially told him this. He was so furious by the time we asked if he would honor his warranty to replace the entire tint or give us our money back that he nearly punched me in the face. He walked up to me and said "you're a little cocksucker you know that," and got in his car and left. He would not answer any calls after this. There is NO WARRANTY because he emails you a warranty (as opposed to Llumar who requires your receipt to be stapled to the warranty). The email that you will receive does not link him up to his job because nowhere on it does it have his name/Business name/ or phone number!! This is the worst mobile tinter (and "tinter," period.) I have ever experienced in the many cars I have had tinted. He pays his rent by each job so don't expect him to ever be able to replace any tint and/or get any money back. Please think twice about using Tint1Now.
