I have rented from penske twice now and was beyond satisfied. Their customer service is too tear, and they have very affordable/reasonable prices!! The trucks are always very clean inside, filled up with gas, and they are very transparent with the cost/fees. they even have a rent by the hour option if you only need a rental for a couple hours instead of a whole day which is awesome!!

After loading up the 22' Penske truck in San Diego and my wife was pulling a trailer with her vehicle we arrived In Arizona to get our keys from the builder only to find that the house wasn't ready. I was absolutely fuming as we had nowhere to go for the 4 days it would take and all our belongings roasting away in that box truck in 110 degree weather. Ended up getting a hotel room paid by the builder. That was ok, but the other issue was extending our one way truck rental. You can imagine how expensive it already was to rent the 22' plus car carrier now I had to contend with how much will this set me back. I called Penske and explained our situation and how we were stuck in a hotel cause our house wasn't ready . To my total disbelief Seth and Julian saved the day and waved all fees for the extension. No one will ever know just how much gratitude we have towards these two gentlemen and the company as a whole. Customer service has always been tops, they have always had what I needed at the time, and always have been accommodating to my needs. And, their prices are on par, or less, than the big names in truck rental. If you need a truck local I highly suggest giving them a call and get a quote. You would be surprised. (not sure how they are, or if they even do, long distance one-way rentals...I've always just done one/two day local rental stuff). But if you need a truck for a day or two they win hands down on service, price and quality truck!

You can list email as your preferred contact and do the whole process without ever speaking to anyone. ***** They let me pick up my truck the night before the reservation (no extra charge) so that I could start loading it up and have it ready to go as early as I wanted to do the move. didnt expect that to be allowed and was SO helpful *14 ft van 1-day in town rental is only $20...plus like $1/mile driven. It came out to about $40 total *We discovered the truck we got had a nail in the front passenger tire when we arrived at home. Called the store in a panic and they told us to call the roadside service # - who responded right away and got a mechanic out to our house within a few hours to do the repair. Even though we missed it in the initial check at the location, I was not blamed for the flat and did not have to pay anything for the repair. The rep was SUPER accommodating - I am beyond impressed with Uhauls customer service. My experience was so bad with CV that, despite the fact that I love my new furniture, I will never go back to Wyckes furniture. I was told by Wyckes that when CV received my order, they would call me to set up a time to deliver. It took a week and a half for them to receive my order and the soonest they could deliver my furniture was 5 days after they had my furniture. I waited over two weeks to get my furniture! And 5 days from the time CV had my furniture- unacceptable. When I spoke with the owner, Chris, about trying to get my furniture sooner, he was an absolute jerk. He is completely unprofessional and rude. He made is seeM like he was doing me a favor by having his guys bring my furniture to the third floor and assembling it. I PAID YOU! YOU DID ME NO FAVORS, CHRIS. He assured me that his delivery guys would be a lot nicer than he is. Great. So my delivery arrives at 3pm. A younger guy comes up to look at the room the furniture was being brought to, walks back out to the truck and doesn't come back up for 45 min. He then started bring things up very slowly. I asked him if he was by himself because I had not seen any other delivery personnel. He said "his partner was outside but he's kind of an older dude so he can't carry things". In all, this evolution took 3 hours from the time they arrived to complete. I paid an additional fee for them to bring my furniture and mattress to the third floor...My husband and brother carried the 3 largest/heaviest pieces of the furniture up to our apartment (a dresser, a chest of drawers, a king mattress). The only reason they went out to help was because we recognized the physical condition of the old man and the way he handled a twin size box spring. He CLEARLY could not handle anything heavier. To top it all off, we also paid for them to haul away the trash. Imagine the amount of boxes that come with an entire bedroom set, dresser, mirror, two nightstands, a chest of drawers, a king bed frame and a king mattress. As they were leaving, my husband heard the men saying "let's just leave the boxes and trash in the dumpsters here". My husband said to them, please do not leave the trash, we paid for you to haul it away, our leasing office clearly posts a sign requesting to not leave large cardboard boxes. What did they do with the boxes? They left them right beside the dumpsters in our apartment complex. Unsatisfactory.

Reservation only guarantees the rate quoted and shows a customer's preferences for a pickup location, dropoff location, time of rental, date of rental and equipment type."
