We escaped both with time remaining, however I will add the note that my wife and I have completed over 300 rooms and this is definitely not a "for beginners" type of place. I wouldn't do either with more than three, they're small.

Not only was the room lacking in excitement or puzzles. They did not care at all about making sure we had a good experience. We kept asking for help and aid and they did not want to interact. I'm used to somebody monitoring and guiding if the group seems like they need it or ask for it. They also did not tell us when we were close to time. The gave us a 30 minute warning. And then next you hear "times up you didnt escape", in the most monotone voice you can imagine. No 5 or 10 minute warning. I guess I am just used to passionate escape rooms that care about you having a good experience considering you've paid to be there. Tbh I should have expected it by the state of the bathroom and the ammount of dust and dirt in the lobby. No passion goes into these rooms, the puzzles are lacking and the staff apathetic. The best part was when she came in to let us out and said did you have any questions. "Yes tell us who done it, fill us in". But she let us know she couldn't tell us anything and that we had to make sure we left quietly and didn't talk as she had more guests in the lobby. Worst escape room, don't waste your money!

Happy to say we were successful and just made it out before time expired. We did take full advantage of the two clues the staff offered and not sure we could have made it through without that information. Followed this by a walk along the inner harbour and the legislature on a beautiful sunny afternoon with so many people out celebrating our nations birthday. We had 1/2 the staff in one room and the other in the "harder" room. I won't tell you which room I was in - just that my team definitely won :) I really like that there are lots of things to do in each room - so that everyone gets a chance to participate. It really is an excellent idea for team building and/or group activities. The staff is very friendly, organized and does a great job of keeping people on target. Everyone had fun and I know that this is a team-building event that all will be talking about for years.

I tend to be a creature of habit. When I find a store or business I like, I return to the same…read moreplace over and over again and usually don't venture out to new places often. With this being said, I was vacationing in Victoria, BC and trying something completely new. My friends and I gave Epic Escape a try. We had fun and we tore the room we were trapped in apart looking for clues. It felt good to search through this space and it felt great when we found a clue or solved a lock. However, there was a lack of direction/sequence with the clues. We bounced from one idea to the next. We solved every puzzle but one, however the administrators had to come in and point us in different directions several times. I kept an open mind even though some of the clues were quite a stretch. In the end my compadres and I were unable to escape. We were released by the staff who were eager to show us how to solve the final combination lock. They asked us for a blue light we had found earlier in the adventure. It, sadly, did not reveal the clue it was intended to reveal. The ink that was supposed to illuminate under the light had faded so much that it could not be seen. I was so disappointed that we had done all we could do, but due to faded ink we were unable to escape the room even with the help of the staff. It was such a let down. They also were really humourous and fun and just were really cool people. We had Eileen and Hugh. Hugh was actually at both locations! We've done quite a few rooms in Canada and we went down south to do two rooms in one day. Would recommend to anyone at anytime. Looking forward to going back and doing more of their rooms!

The unique thing about this escape room is they included an actor to immerse us in the story and to occasionally give us hints; a more immersive experience then having us push a button and waiting for the staff on the intercom to give us a clue. - Parking here is tricky. The lower-level parking structure right next door has many conflicting signs. Even the staff at Locurio weren't sure how to help us ensure free safe parking. Have to buy something at the nearby supermarket to get validated parking? Not sure. - Wish they allowed each of us a prop to hold for the photo at the end. Good thing I brought my own.
