Ok, so the museum is a bit minimal, but that actually helps as you are going to be distracted. We had a party of three - one of the smaller groups - and this was rated difficult. As we were waiting to start, a party of seven came out of another room and they had not solved their puzzle. So, we were a bit anxious. BUT, we went in and they really got into it. Yes, a bit of sibling rivalry did rear its head...but they worked through it as time was running out. You get three hints. USE THEM IF YOU ARE STUCK - they are not obvious hints, but they can redirect you away from random squirrel chases. We solved ours with 5.5 minutes to spare and we were smiling pretty widely when we took the "winner's photo" for their bragging wall. Our host, very nice by the way, he let us know that the success rate for our puzzle was about 20-25% and we had a "smaller than usual group." It was a great way to spend an hour and for the same price as a movie and popcorn, you won't regret the experience. We are already trying to figure when to come back!

I have been dying to do an escape room where I live but am always discouraged by the costs and the need to have a large group. I researched all the escape room companies in this area (I think there are 5 of them) and choose this one as it was reasonably priced at 20$ per person, allowed you to do a 2 person group and was not too hard or too scary. Since this is my first escape room I really have no idea how it compares to others. I will say though that it was an interesting way to spend an hour and that this was really hard. I think if I was truly locked inside this room I would still be there even though my session ended days ago. We did the prison break room and are still confused by many of the clues. The person who assisted us was great. She explained the things we should and should not do while in the room. We got a flashlight, a walkie talkie to speak to her and a timer to let us know how much time we had left. We certainly needed the 3 clues we were offered, but were happy to make some progress before having to request them. She was nice enough to explain how we could have eventually escaped and gave us a few minutes past our time to keep trying, but it was futile. My only complaints are that the room is a bit dusty and crawling around on the floor might not be great for people with allergies. It also would have been nice to have a handout with all the things she told us verbally at the beginning since it is easy to forget. I definitely plan to check out more escape rooms in the future and am excited to see how this one compares.

They offer a mix of traditional mini golf holes and others that are throwbacks to classic boardwalk games. The service was great and the manager was a horror film enthusiast who we enjoyed chatting with. We were wrapping up a cruise wich had a short 3 hour stop in Victoria, and stumbled on Haunted Manor as a fluke through Google maps. Glad we took the chance to spend an hour of our time here! The individual holes are a fairly small, but they're so well done, it doesn't really matter. Would love to see what they could do with a bigger location someday down the road.

I'd been hearing about axe throwing being the cool new thing and my partner was ecstatic as this reminds him of his childhood growing up in the woods. I was even happier to find that prices are reasonable, but slightly concerned I might chop off a toe. I really wanted to try this so I made my partner make reservations ahead of time (I did see quite a few people who tried to walk in turned away). The place is a teeny bit hidden inside a non descript building, but when you first walk in you can see it thru the glass window. We came by a little early and were able to get started early. It's kind of like bowling where you get your own lane and choose your own axe. I was happy to find that they had both bathrooms and wifi available. We received some instruction and coaching throughout our visit. Throwing an axe the exact right way to get it to stick into the wall is tricky. It is certainly something I still need to master, but I was over joyed when I finally got some picture worthy throws near the bulls eye. My partner thinks he is pretty good and is considering joining a league in the future. Even though we don't live in the area the employees were helpful and provided us info about the different kind of leagues and what we could expect if we joined one. I'd definitely check this out again and would even consider it somewhat of a work out.

Loved this place!! It has only been running for a month, but totally worth our $20. We have never…read moredone anything like axe throwing in our life. It seemed simple enough, but there is totally a learning curve!!! Luckily for us, Axe and Grind has people there to coach us through the learning part so we could actually enjoy ourselves by sibling an axe into the target. This made a difference because they don't just send you off to throw axes randomly at wood boards. They explain how to do it, show you how to do it, watch you do it, then help you make adjustments until it starts clicking for you. Once it starts to click, then they teach you how to play the axe throwing game (I.e. what the red lead and blue dots mean and how to score). Once we got the hang out it, the games was super fun!! We even practiced doing the one handed throw. It was appprox. $22 per a person after tax for one hour. But you only need an hour. Lol. Any longer and your arms might hurt!! Usually, you share one lane for 2-4 people. Just like bowling, except with axes. It's like bowling and archery mixed into one game!!! It is hidden so you have to search a bit for the sign to find the location downtown. You also have to find street parking, which is a bummer. But you can always walk around to get your money of parking worth. I heard they get busier at night so we went in the late afternoon before dinner and the night crowd. We got a lane for each of us individually after having to share 2 lanes for 3 people. So was fun and not crowded for us. Def recommend. Something unique and fun to do with your friends and family!! Just remember to wear opened toe shoes. If you don't, they have crocs that you can borrow, but it requires you to wear shoes that strangers have worn before. I suppose nothing diff that bowling shoes, but if you can remember, wear closed toed shoes!

This zoo is right up Government Street which is perfect since it rolls right into your plans of exploring downtown. This is a tiny zoo. You can be done in 10mins or you can choose to listen to the guide and be amazed! The guide did a fantastic job of explaining things very simply and creating lots of opportunities for folks to touch some of the passive bugs. The most amazing thing was how they had setup the ants showing exactly how ant colonies work. Lots of beautiful tarantulas to see and learn about creatures that I had no idea about before I went here. Loved it! Totally worth the $20 entry fees as an adult.
