This place is a must if you love Korean food, or honestly just want to have a good time with a hot pot bubbling in front of you. Escape Tteokbokki is an all-you-can-eat tteokbokki spot where you grab your ingredients cafeteria-style, load them up into your pot, and let the magic happen. It's like DIY comfort food with a delicious twist. For just $15.99 during lunch, you get endless rice cakes, fish cakes, noodles, veggies, sauces, and a whole bar of sides and appetizers, from kimbap to Korean fried chicken. You can go spicy, mild, or somewhere in between, and the best part is, you're in total control of the chaos in your bowl. It's also good to know that if your pot ends up too spicy, or you're just not loving the combo you made, they'll change your pot out two times for free. That definitely came in handy for my husband, who was all in for the heat until he realized he made it way too spicy. The ambiance was fun and upbeat, with K-pop playing in the background and a bright, casual vibe that made the whole experience feel even more lively and enjoyable. The staff were seriously some of the nicest people ever, super helpful and patient even when I was clearly overwhelmed by excitement and indecision. Great food, great vibes, and great price, 10 out of 10 would get spicy and sweat through my eyeliner again.

It was my first time trying tteokbokki and it was pretty good. Reminds me of hot pot where you can choose all your things etc. It was nice since I didn't know what I liked, but could choose from the various options for 20 sum bucks. My gf is vegetarian so they also had a vegan broth as well which was nice. The side fried option were nice and they kept refilling quickly. Our waitress was also very helpful in guiding us what to do. The place was very comforting and will definitely come back again!

This place is a must visit. The owner and staff are super kind and food is delicious. It's all you can eat and you customize your meal with many different types of rice cakes! Rice cakes were great texture and yummy. Not only do they have rice cakes but fried food as well and just for $20! You can pay extra for the ramen bar if you're craving some noodles. This place is fun, cozy, and comforting.

Cozy Tteokbokki restaurant that is absolutely delicious! My friend and I were able to go before the the lunch rush and I can see why this place is always packed. I can't recall the exact price but it's all you can eat and you pay extra for the meats. The broth is great and with the added sauce bar you can make customizations to fit your liking. They also have to go items as well.

Escape tteokbokki is all-you-can-eat and has a variety of sauces, rice cakes, fried foods, vegetables, meats, and noodles to choose from to build your own perfect tteokbokki pot. My friends and I chose our favorite items from the self serve buffet and waited as staff brought out the hot grills. You can always add/alter how your sauce tastes in terms of spiciness and flavor, so we tried a variety and our favorite combo was definitely the cream and rose. In their hot food section, they had kimbap, fried dumplings, sotteok, vegetable tempura, as well as fish cake skewers! Loved most of the stuff we tried. Overall, my friends and I were pleased with all the options and I think it's worth the price. I definitely will be visiting again when I want AYCE!

There are many toppings and sauce options to choose from including the original sauce, curry sauce, and black bean sauce for the AYCE tteokbokki experience. The experience was worth it and there were a few prepared hot food items on the buffet too. However, the gimbap was not the best since it has been sitting out without any heat lamps for a while, but otherwise the food was good.

A all you can eat experience. Similar to hotpot with a unique twist. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was nice and kinda surprising as I wasn't used to having them help us mix and make the food. There is a good variety of food you can cook, I really enjoyed the taro. They also have ready to eat food to enjoy while cooking. I think it is a good value for the amount of food you get/ quality. It is $20 per person as of 9/7/24.

All you can eat tteokbokki with variety of options! I'd say their sauce tastes the most similar to shinjun tteokbokki that I had in Korea. The restaurant is clean and the service was attentive.

Absolutely loved it here! They have plenty of fried and cooked sides and there are a variety of fish cakes, seafood, rice cakes, and vegetables to choose from along with flavorings. They also have beef for an added price if you want to do more of a hot pot. It was our first time and we were on the safe side of things but we observed an auntie cooking up a storm. Making fried rice, stir fry, and other things with the offerings. We were so jealous of her table. Definitely get out of your comfort zone and make a delicious creation!

This is a really good price for all you can eat ( we came on Saturday evening and it was $19.99/person), especially if you like rice cakes, you do get full pretty quickly though. They have a small ramen bar as well. Server was nice and friendly

First time here! Found it via a Facebook group! Really great price points and great quality ingredients! Friendly and quick service! Very similar to hot pot but with all you can eat rice cakes of different kinds! Will be back for sure!!! We loved it!

If you love tteokkbokki, this is the place to go! Their AYCE Tteokbokko is $19 and you have a whole variety to choose from. They have different powders and mixes you can choose to create different tteokbokki soups. They also have a hot bar with appetizers and cooked food.

    Rose tteokbokki with sides

A walk down memory lane. The food here reminds me of my childhood eating out the food stalls on my way from home in Korea. We made a rose tteokbokki and tried a bit of everything. A big fan of the fried kimmari and potato stuffed rice cake. Highly recommend this place!

Before the main event, we got the seafood & green onion pancake. Crispy on the outside and reasonably chewy interior. Good amount of seafood; in particular, the oyster stood out. It was also a nice portion that was ideal for sharing. I opted for the seafood soondubu. Everything, from the banchan to the specific side dishes served with the soondubu, came out not too long after ordering. I got it at spice level three which I thought offered the right amount of kick without being too overwhelming (I also like to think I have a pretty strong spice tolerance). It had a good variety of seafood; namely, the shrimp and oyster. I'm not the biggest fan of clams but they were definitely still tasty. The tofu was soft and silky. The yellow croaker and rice were great supplements to the dish. The rice perfectly absorbed the broth. The croaker added a nice crunchy break from everything. The banchan was pretty standard in my opinion - still, a great complement to the soondubu. Last but not least - service was attentive and quick. I will definitely be coming back at some point!

The restaurant had plenty of space, but service was still super fast and efficient anyway, which I loved. What I love about Chodang is that the food is stellar and such good PORTIONS. Knowing this, I still opted to order a Combo Special because the thought of having leftovers for the next day sounded great to me. I ordered the Kimchi Tofu Soup with Beef Bulgogi, and it was delicious. I usually order my soups at the Spicy level, which I would say has a kick and flavor but never leaves me panting for air or water. As someone who likes spice, I wouldn't say it's very spicy, but definitely flavorful. Beef Bulgogi is one of my favorite dishes, and this place's version does not disappoint. The meat is tender and has a good balance of sweet and salty. My friends also ordered Combo Specials with a Tofu soup and the Korean bbq ribs, and Spicy Pork Bulgogi. One of these friends opted for the medium spice level, which I would say is a safe choice for everyone, especially if you're worried about something being too spicy. All soups come with Korean side dishes, a whole grilled yellow croaker fish (delicious but lots of bones), and a hot stone bowl of rice. Nothing missed!
