Like Silver Lake Trail; Mount Timpanogos Trail also begins with a surrounding of aspen trees and eventually becomes an exposed area as you climb up the side of the mountain towards the waterfall. There were a few water crossings but easily accessible with rocks. In addition, there was a slightly steep rock and root scrambling prior to reaching the waterfall. Furthermore, the trail was a narrow and rocky incline. Parking lot can fill up fast at the trailhead because a few different trails share the same parking. Restrooms available at the trailhead. It's a moderate hike, not too steep but also steep enough where you feel like you're getting a decent workout. The trail is always a little wet towards the waterfall due to the streams that run through it. There's a bit of a scramble to the waterfall as well. It's also dog friendly so you can bring your pups! You can't beat the views here - all of the trails I've ever hiked in American Fork canyon are just stunning. It's my favorite canyon to hike, and my favorite place to be. I absolutely love it here. It's also a great place to go to beat the heat down in the valley, it's always much cooler along the trails here. This is a great hike to do if you're wanting the views, but not wanting to summit Timp.

Parking is very easy and is located across the street from the golf course. You will hike on a paved road for about 15-20 minutes, and then on your left there will be a dirt path to get to the Dripping Rock Falls. It is perfect on a hot summer day to do some rock hunting or to wade, The dripping waterfall is also a very nice site. Excellent spot for the kids to hike and enjoy some fun in the water.

This park has a direct connection to the Bridal Veils park/trail as well. I did see a closed for the season sign blocking entrance into the parking lot areas, so you would have to park elsewhere and walk to this main area. Overall, nice park with easy access all around and a very easy trail. The view isn't as pretty as the Bridal Veils one, but it's much less crowded.

When Bridal Veil Falls is too packed, just cross under the bridge to Nunn's Park. If you're close enough to the river, the sound of the water drowns out the cars driving by on the road. I came to this park last week when I wanted to get away from the apartment for a while. I drove up the canyon for a few minutes and drove off the freeway to see that the parking lot for Bridal Veil Falls Park was packed, so I took a left and made my way over to Nunn's Park. I didn't wander over to the campground area, but the park is pretty nice. The trees are finally green and the sun was out, so I was able to kick back and enjoy how beautiful this place is during spring. Oh, but I must say, they have ants that I haven't seen since rural San Diego. Those nasty HUGE black ants...yikes. I've only seen those tiny house ants around here, so it was a bit of a shock. If you stray from the view of the water and just look at the bridge and the road above you, it's not all that pretty, but I guess that's the benefit of having two parks so close together. If you get tired of one, just walk across the street to the other one. Provo Canyon would have to be the most beautiful thing I've seen in Utah.

I used to hike the Y regularly back in my younger days (and let's be very, very clear--I'm not…read more*that* old yet). But this week I took my kids up, and it was an awesome, nostalgic experience. I was worried the little ones wouldn't make it, but joke's on me--*I* was the one huffing and puffing like an overheated freight train. It's not a super hard hike if you're in decent shape, but if you've been skipping leg day (or cardio day, or all days like I have), pro tip: take you time. The views are worth it, and so is the sense of accomplishment once you hit the top. Still one of Provo's best.

Caught the sunset here…read more.. We came up here just for the amazing views, no hiking. We spent some time enjoying panoramic sceneries of the Provo area and Utah Lake. There are different sections to park and enough spaces in the parking lot. The houses on the hills are beautiful on the drive up. I wonder how much real estate is up here. We followed that giant Y just above BYU. It is a popular trail among locals and students... as well as visitors. You can bring pets on your hike, they must be on a leash and, of course, must clean up after them. At the start of the hike you are already at 6,076-ft so there is some elevation there already. You've had gained another 145 feet if you make it to the top of the Y at 6,221-ft. Seems easy? Well, be prepared because it's steep and can be slippery and falling rocks are a possibility. It was a peaceful Sunday evening watching the sun set from the parking lot and the weather was nice and comfortable. Review #1792

This a good park, not the best and certainly not great, but decent. The park has a few pavilion…read morepicnic areas but no park barbecues. A small playground is also there and usually has a myriad of children rummaging through. There's lots of grassy area for any activity you can dream of. There's horseshoe spots near the back corner as well. One bathroom location, which is as gross as every other park bathroom everywhere. The signs said closed for season (in April) but the doors were wide open so I'm not sure if that's taken as law around here or if anyone cares to check. The toilets are the metal, prison-esque and they're very gross. Not taken care of at all but that's not a surprise or much of an issue for me as I'm sure most park bathrooms are taken care of much. The best part about this park is its location by the Provo River and river trail. An excellent bike or walk path to take. All in all, it's a decent park and good place to start or end your walk/bike/run on the river trail.

In the summer boating and going after the Kokanee salmon. Fall brings the elk and deer hunt. Cell service wise AT&T seems to have the best reception.
