It is hard to believe how the pizza quality has declined since the ownership change. The pizza used to have a delicious, distinctive sourdough crust and generous toppings. Tonight's pizza had almost no sauce, minimal cheese, and very scant toppings. Crust was much thinner, and lacking in flavor. I used to take out-of-town guests here because of the outstanding pizza and spectacular views. Come for the view, drink a beer, and go eat somewhere else. read more

Great place and great people. While camping at the Durango RV Resort, we found Es Locker Room on Yelp and decided to visit. It was a short bike ride and the bar is right on the water. We were welcomed not only by the owners, Babs and Elmer but by all the regulars at the bar. We stopped for one but stayed for over an hour with great stories and conversation. Do yourself a favor and stop in to this locally owned bar. Our only disappointment was that we did not try the hand made pizza as we already had dinner plans. At Es Locker Room, the beer is fine and the pizza was delicious. The location, right on the bunk of the river, was splendid for a late summer night. But what I would really like to rave about is the kindness and hospitality of the owners - Babs and Elmer. We came after a long drive, the kitchen was closed but Babs saw that we came with hungry and tired children and Elmer went into the kitchen to make us pizza that was tailored to our picky eating family. After dinner we said goodbye and headed further north to Mt. Shasta. Only when arriving to our motel room we realized that we left a backpack with a wallet and other essentials at the bar. Apparently they tried to get a hold of us right away but my phone was on silent mode. We called them the next morning and were set to drive by the bar on our way back, on Monday. Babs called us on Monday morning to let us know that she'll be able to bring us the backpack at a more convenient location for us. People like Babs and Elmer reminded us why we should continue to support small local businesses like theirs! read more

The first reviewer is correct. This is by far the best dive bar in Red Bluff. If you want to feel like family on your first visit, this is the place! E and Babs have been running this place since I was kneehigh to a grasshopper. I spent many a summer here and I never had a bad memory. The food is outrageously good and the people make ya feel like you are home. Try the "E6". It's a calzone, but this is the king of calzones! Don't let the drive to this establishment distract you. This place is a diamond in the rough! LOVE this place!!! Alot of changes the last few years with the long time owner passing away then transitioning into his daughter (and a couple others) buying it and taking over. Located right on the Sacramento river with excellent views of the water. Can even pull your boat/water craft up to a boat dock that is not useable to launch but ur able to hop on in for whatever u might need. Geat selection of on tap craft beers. Regular beers, wine and soda selection too. Pizza, calzones, bagel dogs, salads, soups... the food's delish and priced just right. Did i mention the view? spectacular!!!! they have indoor seating with a newly renovated outdoor patio thats not enclosed but has heaters and fans for the weather changes. There is live music from time to time and its a great place to host any type of party. Very kid friendly The place has become even more popular with the renovations so i suggest u make a reservation ahead of time if there's going to be more than four of you.If its spur of the moment u can always call ahead to let them know you're coming or call ahead just to see how busy they are. The parking can be a little confusing if its busy and if its your first time visiting . The bathrooms are small and alot to b desired and there is no central heat or air so in the summer when its 115 it can get a little too hot inside. Thank God its a dry heat! But like I said they provide heaters and fans. Very friendly and helpful staff however during peek times u might have to wait longer than normal ( this is when calling ahead or at least calling in your order would come in handy) you will truly enjoy this establishment I highly recommend it read more

I am not a big pizza fan, but I was blown away by how incredibly delicious this pizza was. My biggest objection to most pizza is the crust. The crust here is great. They are very generous with the toppings. The owners are friendly and treat you like family. I have gone here 2 times over the last month which is more times than I have gone out for pizza in the last 2 years. The beer is served in a frozen mug. Well I'm kinda biased, My wife and I were Married at E's locker room nearly 10 years ago. it was the site of our first date in red bluff. I was from out of town and asked is there was any lil Dive bars here in red bluff? it was hot that day and I had my Dog with me. she took us to E's boy I was sure impressed with this lil gem on the river. Our dogs got to go swim in the river. The pizza is awesome and the beer is Cold and reasonably priced. When you come to E's you can be dressed in a; Tux,swim suit,sweats,work clothes it does not matter. Oh and the best part its Kid friendly. now 11 years later we still go down all of the time. We stopped by here for a quick dinner after Lassen after reading some favorable reviews. Pizza was just okay, maybe I'm just Bay Area snobby about my pizza. Draft beer was cold, first wine pour just barely above skimpy, second pour by owner was plentiful. The owner and her brother were very nice, It's very definitely a locals bar. To be honest, I didn't know this place existed until a coworker recommended it to me. Today, was the first time trying it. My friends and I ended up getting just a basic kind of pizza: half pepperoni, half hawaiian. It did not disappoint! The grease wasn't overpowering, customer service was on point. After spending the day hiking Lassen Volcanic N.P., the family was looking for a good local pizza place (no chains) and cold beer. At first, I was hesitant on E's because - honestly - it looks like an old empty house. But once we walked inside, we knew this was going to be good. The owners and even the patrons were all extremely friendly and helpful. Seating is a bit awkward, especially if you are with your kids (12 & 10) but once the pizza came out, all doubts were case aside. Quality ingredients that actually have flavor... no cardboard pepperoni here. They had about four beers on tap - no liquor. This is just a small, local bar that makes some great pizza. It was about 104 outside so we didn't get to enjoy the deck which I think would have pull this review up to five starts if we could have tried it. read more

This place is pretty awesome. Beers are cheap, and you can sit outside and watch the river. The pizza is good too. My only criticism is that the pizza is pretty pricey for a bar pie. $22 for a large, 3 topping. I guess that's not bad for a 3 topping large. If you're in town and want a place to grab a drink, head here. It looks uninviting from the outside, and when you walk in it feels like you're interrupting the regulars, but they're all pretty friendly. The lady working behind the bar (she brought out the pie) was pretty attractive for an older lady, and could tell she was a stunner when she was younger. The first time we went we didn't try any food. 2nd time there we had the Calzone. OMG! It is huge. Homemade and most delicious. Get one to share and then get another to take home. You won't be sorry. Bab's is a peach-very accommodating and sweet! She makes the place. And by the way-the view outside is wonderful. What can I say that has not already been said about this place. It's a little rough on the out side perhaps but the warmth from both the owners and their regular customers will make you want to stay. In side 10 minutes I felt like a regular customer. It's like your friends Gand dad has a bar in his living room and then his wife makes you dinner! And it was GOOD! We had the everything Calzone and it feed both of us the dough was hand made that morning and it tasted great. Staying at the Durango rv resort and decided to take a walk over to this family run pizza/local bar. The pizza was really well done with a tasty thin crust and a nice selection of beers to go with it. The Sacramento River winds around the back patio which just makes you want to stay and enjoy, but it's the locals that convince you stay awhile and just hang out. If you aren't in the mood for a chain restaurant and are up for a small town river bar with welcoming owners then give E's a try. My wife and I were a little hesitant when we pulled up but when we walked in we were greeted by owners and regulars who were genuinely kind. The beer is cold and the pizza dough is made fresh daily.
