Went on a Saturday night. I am in a wheelchair and there were so many drunk rowdy people I didn't even want to come in. We were there 5 minutes and immediately upon my friend dropping a cup accidentally we had 3 super aggressive people threatening to start a fight over it. It was VERY scary for me and we left as soon as we could. I have been there on a weeknight and the place was fine but NEVER AGAIN on a Saturday. No security of any kind. Pleáse be careful!! UPDATE: While it makes sense that cameras did not appear to show a threat they did NOT , Im sure, record what was being said to us. These patrons were VERY aggressive with what they were saying to us and definitely threatened us with violence. Although I understand it was after an event maybe consider security when such an event is upcoming. I'm quite sure there were far too many people in there for the legally occupancy limit. On a normal day Tips is a great place to go but I'll stay away when there are that many people inside. read more

This is classified as a dive bar but when we came in here in a random Thursday. This is not really dive bar! It was very clean and didn't smell bad and the music was great and it didn't smell like cigarettes hahaha! Good place to go, way better than your average dive bar. read more

There's only 4 bars in Red Bluff and I prefer this place and gave it 5 stars because it's the dive bar for this town. Please note: They don't have wifi. They don't have draft beer. They do have Pabst in a can, an old school CD juke box, 2 TVs, a shuffleboard and a pool table and just a bunch of low key people as patrons. Oh Tips. My childhood friend got it just right when she told me that it is the bar in RB where everyone swears they will never go. But then, one day, they wander in and actually like it. I had a good time here, catching up with old friends and drinking incredibly cheap beer. Man I love cheap beer. It is not quite as scary as I imagined it as a child. We first hit Tips bar where we met Mike the owner and bartender. He welcomed us with a smile and a handshake. a very comfortable establishment with a pool table, shuffle board, and darts. You will get a good feeling when you belly up to the bar. Prices are fair and Tips is a great place to stop and have a drink. We give 3 beers out of a six pack. read more

My favorite bar in town. It's dark and dingy, it's small and the pool table is awkwardly placed. But the juke box is always rockin', the shuffleboard is always sanded and the staff is always friendly. You always swear as a kid you'll never end up in Tips because it looks scary and seedy from the outside. Then you grow up, grow a pair and realize it's the best bar in town because it has personality and history and there's a reason everyone loves it. Only down side for me is no beer on tap. It's all bottles and cans. But it's not a bad selection and they're the only place I know of around here that serves my favorite whiskey (Tullamore Dew - drink it!). I love Tips as do most people once they actually hang out there. read more

All the previous reviews are correct. Tips is awesome and Kristen is GREAT. This is the place you come to unwind and meet new friends who become old friends. Old school jukebox, cash only, but there is an ATM. No pretenses. Just a great locals bar where everyone is welcome. read more
