The ambiance is rather dark but with a pleasant atmosphere with colorful decor. I was surprised that there weren't more people there at prime lunch time. I was promptly seated and served with tortilla chips and salsa while I reviewed the menu. The chips were thicker than I prefer and the salsa was rather thin/watery for my taste. The flavor of the salsa, however, was good. I ordered the lunch "Special Burrito" with shredded chicken and guacamole salad. It was promptly served. I would have preferred an entree with beans and rice but my server informed me that the beans were fried in lard; I'm not a fan of lard and there were no other bean options. The chicken burrito was decent and the guacamole was fresh. The fresh guacamole was the best part. I added some of the watery salsa to give the dish more flavor, but it mixed with the watery bland creamy red sauce that was already part of the burrito. It wasn't bad aside from the watery texture but definitely nothing I would crave. It was a fairly quick lunch that cost approximately $7.50 (only water as a beverage) before tip. They have a wide variety of items on the menu, the preparation is generous but not so fancy that they end up having to charge more. You know what you're getting in a place like this. Basic, reliable, but also delicious! I always take out as a great sign in a Mexican restaurant if the white staff has difficulty speaking English, that is the case here, lol. Having said that every server I've ever had has always been super friendly and welcoming to me. Over the years I've typically gone with their Pollo Loco, which is a simple dish prepared with thin slices of chicken over rice with cheese sauce. I have often lamented that I can't get this particular dish back home. The chicken is always tender, and the cheese sauce is always perfect. Nice crispy chips and delicious not too hot salsa complete the experience. About the only thing I haven't done here is have an alcoholic beverage, on my most recent visit my wife had a margarita and indicated it was delicious. I'm so glad this place is here, and frankly I wish they would open a location in my hometown.

He seemed to understand. I asked him specifically if their refried beans were vegetarian and, after checking with the kitchen, he assured me that they did not have lard and were vegetarian. I also ordered a small side of guacamole. I picked up the order and it was ready on time. The price seemed like a good value compared to other similar restaurants. Upon arriving home, it was clear that there was no bean and cheese tostada. The chicken enchilada appeared accurate except for no muenster cheese, which distinguished this dish from the last time I had it. There was no burrito but a serving of beans with some cheese. The salsa was good and I also enjoyed my taste of the guacamole. However, I immediately called the restaurant when I realized that my order was not accurate. I ultimately spoke with Roger, who appeared to be the manager. He informed me that no online menu is accurate or current. I explained that I had confirmed it with the person who had taken my order. Roger agreed to offer me a credit for next time or to remake it tonight. I opted for the credit and ate what I could of the dinner. The food overall tasted okay (aside from the taco that I did not eat). However, it didn't agree with my stomach and it made me wonder whether the beans were truly vegetarian. Regardless, I doubt I'll return here, other than perhaps enjoy the patio during seasonal months. I respected that management offered a food credit but am not sure I'll take them up on it. The business was rather crowded on a Sunday evening, so perhaps judge for yourself. I will say that the ambiance in the bar was boisterous and displayed various sporting events on TV.

The audacity to charge six dollars for a taco is unbelievable. I ordered a beef chimichanga, what came out looked more like an enchilada, and it was chicken and not beef. I got a Paloma, and there was so much tajin on the rim it fell into the drink, making it salty. They do have good appetizers and they have good happy hour specials from 3 to 6. Our waitress was excellent, but our food all came out one plate at a time at a table of seven. My plate came out last and they apologize, they said they had to remake it because they made a mistake. Kind of ironic that what I got wasn't what I ordered even though I waited 10 minutes longer than anyone else. By the time my plate came the person who got their food first was already finished. Serve a table together. It makes it awkward for the people at the table. They either have to choose between eating. Will everyone else weight or eating cold food. As a very leaf, leave it under the lamp until you have food made for the table. everything tasted fine, but with so many great Mexican options in Toledo I'm not sure I would come back here.

And unlike anything I've ever eaten in a Mexican/Tex-Mex place, the burrito was topped with a zig-zag of yellow mustard. WTF? Well it did look cool, but it tasted like crap. POSITIVES: The margaritas have a very pleasant taste. Not too strong, but they taste pretty much the way I think a marg should taste. (My wife disagreed, by the way. She didn't even like the margs). A good sign! Ambiance is typical festive and colorful Mexican decor. I went to the host stand to get a menu and grabbed a seat at the bar, hoping to get a small margarita while I perused the menu and ordered. I didn't see a dedicated bartender and it seemed like wait staff grabbed drinks on their own for their tables. When I was finally able to flag down someone in the bar area, she was friendly and served me a basic margarita- pretty sure they are pre-mixed but not totally sure because I was still studying the menu. Solid margarita though. Ordered two chicken burritos, a chicken quesadilla and tortilla chicken soup. The wait time was reasonable and staff members were very nice despite how busy they were at prime dinner time. Upon arriving home, I ate half of the chicken quesadilla. It was delicious with lots of quality seasoned chicken I also cut off a piece of my mom's chicken burrito to try. Also delicious. My mom definitely enjoyed her chicken tortilla soup, which was loaded with shredded chicken and pico de gallo. We had lots of leftovers even though we ordered à la carte. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant! I'm sure the experience would have been better dining inside. Also, next time will order dinner portions for more well rounded meals (e.g., quacemole and other sides). You may want to stop by for an early dinner because this restaurant has quite the following!!
