I had been going to the OG location which is just a few miles away but this location is conveniently located near the Mudhens stadium. We got a flights, so we were able to try everything on tap. The only thing I would've liked was a cozier atmosphere. The tall chairs are a bit uncomfortable. Heading home we decided to search yelp for a brewery to eat a late lunch and picked Juniper. It…read morehad been a couple of years since we had been to Bowling Green and so Juniper was new to us. The atmosphere is not typical college and comes across a bit more classy. The beer selection was decent and the brew I chose, Interstellar Overdrive was well balanced and excellent. In a college town the only way to differentiate yourself as a restaurant is to be different. Juniper offers some unique options and specialities. Not necessarily your typical brew food. I had the wings with the house sauce and they were very good. My wife had the burger (with a house sauce) and it was tasty. Prices are reasonable and our server was great (a business major). Gauging a restaurant in a college town by its service is tricky because of the constant turnover so maybe we were lucky or management has a good eye when hiring. Definitely recommend stopping by fig you are in the neighborhood.

First time back to Juniper in a long time, and likely my last trip…read more I ordered the original chicken sandwich. The chicken was so dark and chewy and stringy I honestly could barely get it down. Came with tomato, onion, and a giant piece of soggy lettuce that I had to take off and tear apart to get on the sandwich. I got mayo, too, but you have to pay extra for it! This sandwich has no sauce on it otherwise. The fries were pretty bland as well. Would I ever get this again? Certainly not. Their online menu doesn't have descriptions for the food. That's not acceptable in 2026. And the beer menu was out of date. This makes taking a look at the menus before you visit a waste of time. Another place that I guess expects you to put your bag on the floor in the restroom, both at the sink and in the stalls. Yuck. Their saving grace is their beer, but I think I'll stick to drinking it at other places that carry it.

I had a reuben sandwich which was by far the best I have ever had. Large pieces of meat, plenty of Kraut and more than filled me up. My wife had the chili which was also very good. I had a flight of beers that Tyler recommended and they were all fantastic. If you are anywhere near the area, you should stop in. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Very cool historic building in a boring part of downtown Toledo. I thought it would be closer to…read moreone of the river bridges or right on the water, but it's not. The inside had display after display of breweriana. If you like old beer collections especially vintage stuff you'll enjoy strolling around the building. The staff was nice, the seating downstairs was pretty cool. I was getting some castle vibes in the room (wood beams, big windows, stonework). Menu wise we ordered a light dinner after a long day on the road. My son had PB&J and said it was just ok. The house made Root Beer smelled great, but was flat. The wood-fired Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza I shared was just ok. It was sloppy (cheese sliding off) and needed to have crispy pepperoni to execute that style. I had two brews that weren't anything special. The Glass Hopper IPA had an earthy and herbal aroma and taste as advertised, but it was too soft on the hops and had more of a malt flavor throughout. It was a one and done. The Italian Pilsner had more of a grassy/floral flavor, but lacked a crackery pilsner malt and a citrus/orchard fruit that I'm used to in a good solid Italian pils. More of less glorified homebrew. Everyone working there seemed nice and friendly, but were not personable. It was all business, which is ok, but we felt like unexpected guests. It took them forever just to decide what area they were going to seat us in and then it was like here first boring table in the entire place. The rest of our party pretty much felt the same. If it wasn't for the ambiance and history of the building I would have suggested something in the downtown area. NOTE: The steakhouse located in the same building on the other side looked pretty cool. If you're in the downtown just look for a different location and save the 10-15 minute walk.

It's a great place on a winter day to sit by the fire and have some wine or beer (or their spiked hot chocolate options are AMAZING!) They have a smaller but very well crafted menu. And they always have specials. We have eaten a few of the times we are there and been happy with the food. They do flights too... and you can mix up the options and have wine and spiked hot chocolate on a flight. Have I mentioned the live music? Most weekends they have one or 2 musicians playing. The staff is all super friendly too. We'll be back. Many times.

They have reasonable priced wines varieties of wine from sweet to my favorite dry reds. There is also craft beer, ciders, creative charcuterie, home made crackers - breads and, from what we spoke with the owners, even more local sourced items to come. Grounds & patio are beautifully landscaped including a waterfall flowing into a small pond. We sat on their the around porch to enjoy the beautiful sunset and nice selection of music as well. They feature cozy modern rustic decor inside, even some pictures from Trowbridge area and neat antique items. I can't wait to sit on their beautiful couch by the fire with a tasty beverage, later this year. This new wine bar is relaxing place and the food is a welcome change from our typical bar food in this area. Bonus, the genuinely nice owners who took time to introduce themselves & share their background. We liked the staff who knew their wine selections, were kind and didn't rush our girls evening out. The wine bar is only 15 minutes from Oak Harbor OH about 20 from Oregon, OH in a beautiful quiet country area. Hours are a bit limited as they just opened, Thurs, Fri & Saturdays 4-10, on Elliston Trowbridge just past the tracks in Trowbridge - year round!!!!

I was hoping for something warm and fresh made, but it was truly just store bought bread with oil in a dish. Then for my main I ordered the smash burger. A smash patty with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and cheddar cheese. It was good, nothing fancy. It also came with a side of the house chips. Wine was fine but again nothing extravagant. For me, the highlight was their large selection of wines from other wineries, both imported and local. Currently rated 6.5 on my Beli, hit it or don't.

The decor is so interesting and tasteful, perfect for the area. The kitchen was equipped with full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, stove/oven and all the other items you could need. It was so fun and convenient to be able to go downstairs and order a glass of wine (beer/mixed drink), enjoy a tasty snack and sit at the lovely patio and garden areas. It has a nice selection of gifts to purchase at the winery as well. As I mentioned, the owner and staff were so accommodating and responsive.
