But the high point is how smooth the bourbon is. In a crowded competitive space of signature bourbons Minglewood has standouts that are very enjoyable. I have been giving Minglewood to my coworkers for the holidays. I now have orders from the to pick up a bottle of this or that when next I visit.

The gift card was charged to my CC and High Bank received the funds. In order to resolve I called the Grandview location and spoke to the Restaurant Manager, Sam. He directed me to send me a detailed email to their general email address, he also provided me with the General Managers name, Kendre. After several conversations with both Sam and Kendre, my issue was resolved. The original lost gift card was credited, and a new gift card was issued and received by my friend. It's not often enough that individuals perform their job to the level of expectation, somehow we've learned to accept mediocrity as the norm. Location Manager Sam and General Manager Kendre should be recognized for their exceptional service.

Just a heads up: if you come during the slower season, you can likely do a walk-in for the distillery tour. It was already a humid day, and the bugs were outside as well so that was a no win situation. The bugs were constantly flying in our faces and around our drinks and food. The food was really good but the service was poor. Everything took way too long. And again while everybody was pretty friendly, that was no excuse for the slow service. We ordered the chips and salsa appetizer and it came with not enough chips for four people. We asked our server for more chips and it took 20 minutes for the chips to come out. It was so long that we had our main entries in front already. I told the Server there was no need because now we had our food. We just got a weird look and she walked away. It took us two hours to eat our meal because of the slow service. That being said, we won't return. The flying bugs were the main problem, the service secondary.

We came in with the intent to get the Legacy Bourbon, their collaboration with Hayner, but we needed up leaving with a second bottle that won us over during the tasting. Staff were friendly and informative. The stills are the oldest continuously operated pot stills in the country and they are right in the tasting room. Overall, we really liked this small little distillery and would be back if we are in the area.

Stop to sample everything or grab a cocktail! It feels like a speakeasy because it's in a dark, cool, little basement, and the decor sports hand-hewn beams and original sandstone block walls. The owners are personable and proud of their work: ALL ingredients are local, local, local! They were more than willing to take people on a tour! You can even rent out the place for events too.
