We got a flights, so we were able to try everything on tap. The only thing I would've liked was a cozier atmosphere. The tall chairs are a bit uncomfortable. I don't usually leave bad reviews but we were really disappointed with Oncore. We live in Wauseon…read moreand needed somewhere close to go have a few beers at. We rarely drink anymore but my father-in-law just passed away and we needed to just unwind after years of caring for him. We got to Oncore at about 3:30 on a Sunday. We found out once we got there that there was no food but the food truck would arrive at 5:00. There was no way we could drink on an empty stomach so we went to a nearby restaurant to eat and came back. We absolutely love beer flights and have done them enough over the years that we know you're gonna love some and hate them. We ordered 7 different ones and only liked 1 of them. We do lean towards the ciders so we ordered the Blackberry & Valencia orange one, the juniper berry & begonia, the apple & blue raspberry, the s'mores, the regular blonde, a red and one other one I can't remember. We knew we were rolling the dice with the begonia and blue raspberry but the others should have been drinkable even if we didn't like them. Overall they were WAY too sweet and overpowering. This coming from a girl that drinks Venti Carmel Macchiatos. I love thick fall beers like vanilla, peanut butter and chocolates but the s'mores smelled & tasted like burnt coffee. My husband and I have VERY different beer tastes so it's usually he likes one and I don't and vice versa but this time we both couldn't find one we liked enough to order. I even tried to convince him to order the more standard beers just to see and he refused bc he didn't want to waste the money. The other thing that was really disappointing was the service. The girl behind the bar was super friendly and nice but the whole process was off putting. When we first walked in she never greeted us. We stood there for a few minutes and finally had to walk up to her and ask how this worked. In order to order you have to go up to the bar to do it. Once our order was ready she yelled over to us to come and get our drinks, There were only 5 other older couples in the entire bar. At that capacity she could have brought them over to us. I worked at a bar and there's no way I would have yelled over at a customer like that. Now on a busy, jam packed night I get it - kinda - but a night like that it made us feel like a nuisance instead of customers on their first visit (which she knew). There were other things that were self serve and it just felt weird. Like I said, maybe on a busy night it would be different but being able to adapt to capacity and creating a good experience is just part of running a bar. The table was incredibly wobbly and so I had my husband ask for napkins to prop it up and she handed him two paper towels. Once we'd tried all of the drinks and were ready to leave we had no idea whether or not we were responsible for bussing the tables too? We were embarrassed that we could barely drink the drinks so we just got up and left. Overall we were pretty disappointed. There's not a lot of options out here so we get used to taking what you get but to have one be a total bust sucked. If they adjusted the sweetness/overpowering flavors and the business model a bit, they'd have the potential to bring in a lot more business.

The inside had display after display of breweriana. If you like old beer collections especially vintage stuff you'll enjoy strolling around the building. The staff was nice, the seating downstairs was pretty cool. I was getting some castle vibes in the room (wood beams, big windows, stonework). Menu wise we ordered a light dinner after a long day on the road. My son had PB&J and said it was just ok. The house made Root Beer smelled great, but was flat. The wood-fired Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza I shared was just ok. It was sloppy (cheese sliding off) and needed to have crispy pepperoni to execute that style. I had two brews that weren't anything special. The Glass Hopper IPA had an earthy and herbal aroma and taste as advertised, but it was too soft on the hops and had more of a malt flavor throughout. It was a one and done. The Italian Pilsner had more of a grassy/floral flavor, but lacked a crackery pilsner malt and a citrus/orchard fruit that I'm used to in a good solid Italian pils. More of less glorified homebrew. Everyone working there seemed nice and friendly, but were not personable. It was all business, which is ok, but we felt like unexpected guests. It took them forever just to decide what area they were going to seat us in and then it was like here first boring table in the entire place. The rest of our party pretty much felt the same. If it wasn't for the ambiance and history of the building I would have suggested something in the downtown area. NOTE: The steakhouse located in the same building on the other side looked pretty cool. If you're in the downtown just look for a different location and save the 10-15 minute walk.

We each got a flight of wine, white for me and red for him. Some of the wine we tried was "drinkable" but I would not go so far as to say it was good. Unfortunately the rose' was not drinkable and actually tasted off, as if it had turned or spoiled. I brought this to the attention of the woman working there, and instead of offering to open a new bottle for us to try, she insisted that that's "how it tastes" and said that the color was supposed to be brown. Poor customer service in my opinion. On a positive note, the interior was nice, with plenty of seating. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

This was off the beaten path and a bit of a drive but the place was pretty cute. Apparently they have done some renovations and have a very large area that was added to the building. We chose to sit out back as we were told there was out door seating. They need to work on that a bit if they are going to claim that. The picnic tables weren't covered, the area was mushy and it smelled like a farm. Inside was pretty cute though. We decided to share a flight of wine instead of beer as this was a vineyard as well as a brewery. We weren't fans. The wine tasted like cough medicine and I feel terrible saying that. We may come back to try the beer but we will see...

On a recent drive-through Toledo I found this interesting little winery/restaurant and the menu definitely deserved me and my group paying a visit. My steak was the first to arrive at the table and I have to admit I had trouble identifying what was on top. Was it fresh mozzarella??? Nope. It was several slices of cool, unmelted horseradish herb butter - which sounded great as described on the menu - but was executed poorly. Every bite of steak was like simultaneously taking a bite off of a stick of butter right out of the fridge. The fries were also just meh. It wasn't all bad, though. The Bee.L.T., I must admit, looked amazing! Two people at my table ordered it, and I secretly hoped they would offer to share it with me. It was also beautifully presented. An other person at my table ordered the mushroom miso stroganoff which also looked amazing and which she described as "delightful." The restaurant itself was beautiful, including the outdoor seating and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
