Tonight we shared the BLT with avocado and their skin-on fries (so good!). I had the Tropical Cherry Mule --absolutely delicious--and David tried the Hazy Vibes IPA. Yesterday he and his buddy sampled the Lacto Kooler Sour, loved it so much they bought a six-pack and a shirt before leaving! A huge shoutout to our bartenders, Sarah and Shana, who made us feel right at home. We also had the pleasure of meeting owner Carla, who is incredibly friendly and a fellow dog lover--always a bonus in my book! The artwork throughout the brewery is stunning, hand-painted by two tattoo artists from Old World Tattoo in Imlay City. The detail is incredible and really gives the place its own unique personality. They even accommodated us bringing in our own cake, which was a huge plus. They gave us a large dedicated section for our group, and everything ran seamlessly all night. We ordered a 14-inch Italian pizza on thin crust, and to be fair, the pizza was good. Was it $26 good? That's debatable. Especially since there are NO PRICES on the menu. When the bill came, it showed $15 for the thin-crust pizza and then another $11 charge for "Italian." Apparently toppings come with a plot twist. It would be nice to know you're ordering a $26 pizza before you eat it. The building itself could also use some love. The outside facade is begging for a date with a power washer, and the inside could definitely benefit from a good deep cleaning. There was noticeable dust and cobwebs, and nearly every table around us had napkins shoved underneath the legs to keep them from wobbling. At some point, the napkins deserve to be put back on the tables and the tables deserve to be fixed. Overall, it feels like this was probably a really cool place once and still has the bones to be one. The live music was enjoyable, the pizza tasted good, and there was a nice crowd. But when you're charging $16 for tiny wings and $26 for a 14-inch pizza, the food, cleanliness, maintenance, and transparency with pricing need to match. A power washer, a deep clean, a screwdriver, and some prices on the menu would go a long way.

Got a taste of their bock and then ordered a pint. Full bodied and carmelly without going overboard on sweetness. Tried a sample of an imperial hazy IPA called The Object and that was truly splendid. Had a bit of a drive ahead of me so I got a 4-pack to go. They have quite a few canned brews in their cooler. You can get crowlers to go as well. Which I expect I'll do pretty soon.
