On a recent drive-through Toledo I found this interesting little winery/restaurant and the menu definitely deserved me and my group paying a visit. My steak was the first to arrive at the table and I have to admit I had trouble identifying what was on top. Was it fresh mozzarella??? Nope. It was several slices of cool, unmelted horseradish herb butter - which sounded great as described on the menu - but was executed poorly. Every bite of steak was like simultaneously taking a bite off of a stick of butter right out of the fridge. The fries were also just meh. It wasn't all bad, though. The Bee.L.T., I must admit, looked amazing! Two people at my table ordered it, and I secretly hoped they would offer to share it with me. It was also beautifully presented. An other person at my table ordered the mushroom miso stroganoff which also looked amazing and which she described as "delightful." The restaurant itself was beautiful, including the outdoor seating and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Taking into account all the good and all the bad, this was a solid three star experience. I would definitely go back, though, to give them another chance.

The atmosphere is not typical college and comes across a bit more classy. The beer selection was decent and the brew I chose, Interstellar Overdrive was well balanced and excellent. In a college town the only way to differentiate yourself as a restaurant is to be different. Juniper offers some unique options and specialities. Not necessarily your typical brew food. I had the wings with the house sauce and they were very good. My wife had the burger (with a house sauce) and it was tasty. Prices are reasonable and our server was great (a business major). Gauging a restaurant in a college town by its service is tricky because of the constant turnover so maybe we were lucky or management has a good eye when hiring. Definitely recommend stopping by fig you are in the neighborhood.

This sandwich has no sauce on it otherwise. The fries were pretty bland as well. Would I ever get this again? Certainly not. Their online menu doesn't have descriptions for the food. That's not acceptable in 2026. And the beer menu was out of date. This makes taking a look at the menus before you visit a waste of time. Another place that I guess expects you to put your bag on the floor in the restroom, both at the sink and in the stalls. Yuck. Their saving grace is their beer, but I think I'll stick to drinking it at other places that carry it.

They feature cozy modern rustic decor inside, even some pictures from Trowbridge area and neat antique items. I can't wait to sit on their beautiful couch by the fire with a tasty beverage, later this year. This new wine bar is relaxing place and the food is a welcome change from our typical bar food in this area. Bonus, the genuinely nice owners who took time to introduce themselves & share their background. We liked the staff who knew their wine selections, were kind and didn't rush our girls evening out. I had two brews that weren't anything special. The Glass Hopper IPA had an earthy and herbal aroma and taste as advertised, but it was too soft on the hops and had more of a malt flavor throughout. It was a one and done. The Italian Pilsner had more of a grassy/floral flavor, but lacked a crackery pilsner malt and a citrus/orchard fruit that I'm used to in a good solid Italian pils. More of less glorified homebrew. Everyone working there seemed nice and friendly, but were not personable. It was all business, which is ok, but we felt like unexpected guests. It took them forever just to decide what area they were going to seat us in and then it was like here first boring table in the entire place. The rest of our party pretty much felt the same. If it wasn't for the ambiance and history of the building I would have suggested something in the downtown area. NOTE: The steakhouse located in the same building on the other side looked pretty cool. If you're in the downtown just look for a different location and save the 10-15 minute walk.

We do lean towards the ciders so we ordered the Blackberry & Valencia orange one, the juniper berry & begonia, the apple & blue raspberry, the s'mores, the regular blonde, a red and one other one I can't remember. We knew we were rolling the dice with the begonia and blue raspberry but the others should have been drinkable even if we didn't like them. Overall they were WAY too sweet and overpowering. This coming from a girl that drinks Venti Carmel Macchiatos. I love thick fall beers like vanilla, peanut butter and chocolates but the s'mores smelled & tasted like burnt coffee. My husband and I have VERY different beer tastes so it's usually he likes one and I don't and vice versa but this time we both couldn't find one we liked enough to order. I even tried to convince him to order the more standard beers just to see and he refused bc he didn't want to waste the money. The other thing that was really disappointing was the service. The girl behind the bar was super friendly and nice but the whole process was off putting. When we first walked in she never greeted us. We stood there for a few minutes and finally had to walk up to her and ask how this worked. In order to order you have to go up to the bar to do it. Once our order was ready she yelled over to us to come and get our drinks, There were only 5 other older couples in the entire bar. At that capacity she could have brought them over to us. I worked at a bar and there's no way I would have yelled over at a customer like that. Now on a busy, jam packed night I get it - kinda - but a night like that it made us feel like a nuisance instead of customers on their first visit (which she knew). There were other things that were self serve and it just felt weird. Like I said, maybe on a busy night it would be different but being able to adapt to capacity and creating a good experience is just part of running a bar. The table was incredibly wobbly and so I had my husband ask for napkins to prop it up and she handed him two paper towels. Once we'd tried all of the drinks and were ready to leave we had no idea whether or not we were responsible for bussing the tables too? We were embarrassed that we could barely drink the drinks so we just got up and left. Overall we were pretty disappointed. There's not a lot of options out here so we get used to taking what you get but to have one be a total bust sucked. If they adjusted the sweetness/overpowering flavors and the business model a bit, they'd have the potential to bring in a lot more business.

We were hoping to get something to eat at Oncore, but the food truck that was supposed to be onsite didn't stay for the entire time they were supposed to. Bartender said the food truck was there less than 2 hours, and they were supposed to have been there for 6 hours. That was a setback. Thankfully, Onncore has a small popcorn machine and it was serve yourself. Very modest interior with a small "gift shop" area along the back wall of the bar. Oncore did offer several games to keep you occupied.
