My wife and I recently purchased property in Richfield springs that has two houses. We are…read morerenovating the first one and wanted to change out the counter top to a solid surface. We currently live in the Syracuse area while we renovate these houses so we searched out solid surface places in the Utica location which is close to Richfield springs. The other place in Utica wanted an appointment so we went to this place first. These guys were loading a truck when we arrived but James stopped what he was doing and sat down with us right away. We were off to a great start! We went through the options and decided on a granite countertop. The quoted price was very reasonable. We ungraded our countertops in Syracuse about 10 years ago with a big name company there and were not all that please with the end result and paid a lot for them. These guys are the real deal! I bream of finding a small business that are experts in what they do, are easy to work with and do a top notch professional job. They were out in a matter of days to do a template and the guys that came were super polite and very professional. They pointed out an area to me that needed to be leveled which I had missed. James was willing to move fast and could have installed the countertop the next week but I had to slow them down as I didn't have the sink yet and we were still needing to paint the cabinets. They accommodated us nicely! Fast forward to today, and it started with great communication as James called to inform me they were running about 1/2 hour late - which was not a problem but I appreciated the heads up! The installers did a great job and immediately upon arriving brought in a tarp to put on the floors in front of where they would be installing the countertop. Which impressed me but in my case was a little funny as we are going to replace all the flooring next and what is currently there is pretty much destroyed. I let them know not to worry about the floor as we are replacing it but they said no problem and used the tarp anyway. They installed a nice metal bracket for mounting the dishwasher to which I didn't get with that other Syracuse place! And they used their own sink mounting brackets which I have to tell you are nice heavy duty brackets that mount to the cabinet side walls and are a huge step up from the basic brackets the sink companies provide. I have don lots of DYI projects and I was impressed with these brackets. Note that all the hardware was included in the very reasonable price I got in the first place, no surprise increased costs! I included a couple of pictures of the hardware. So in summary, These guys are phenomenal and when we get to doing the second house (which has lots more counters), I guarantee you these guys will have that business. As one other review said, I can't say enough good things about this place with how professional they are, and with the great work that they do. Thank you!

These guys are crooks and thieves! This company ripped me off too!! Last spring I had water in my…read morebasement. They quoted me $4700 and offered me a "lifetime warranty". This spring (less than a year later) I have flooding in my basement again. The warranty? Oh, that was only for the one wall that they treated, we didn't mean that you would not have water in your basement next year. If you want a dry basement we have to treat more, that will be another $5300. The initial contract said they would install a 1/3 hp sump pump if needed, but they decided it wasn't needed. Funny, I have water in my basement, I guess I need that sump pump. Their answer? No, we didn't think we needed it then, so you don't get one now. RUN AWAY!! RUN FAR FAR AWAY!

May 2, 2024 I want to thank and recognize Oneida Carpet…read morefor their excellent customer service. I have had the pleasure of working with Oneida Carpet a number of times so when I moved and my fiancé Mark & I decided to remodel our kitchen I went to Oneida Carpet for flooring. Tara took the time to help me choose a luxury vinyl tile to compliment the colors of the new kitchen cabinets we were having installed. She also took the time to come to the house and measure the kitchen area to ensure the right amount of flooring was ordered. Due to timing issues I purchased the flooring from Oneida Carpet and my contractor installed it. However, soon afterwards we noticed some of the vinyl tiles started to make snapping & popping noises when walked on. I called and talked to Tara about it. Within a few days Scott came to the house to check the floor. He found some of the tiles had broken where they interlock and would need to be replaced. So I set up for Oneida Carpet to return to correct the flooring. Scott removed the floor, inspected each tile for defects, corrected the floor where it needed to be leveled more and reinstalled the new flooring. It took him 2 days to correct and reinstall it. Once it was done I was only charged for the additional flooring material and supplies needed, they waived the cost of labor & installation. The floor looked so nice until once again it started to sound like we were walking on "Rice Krispies' snap, crackle, and pop. Scott came back out again to check the floor and found the locking mechanism failed on many of the tiles and where defective. Knowing this time the floor was installed correctly Oneida Carpet contacted the flooring manufacturer since it should have been under warranty. After multiple calls placed by Oneida Carpet to both their company sales rep and the flooring manufacturer, the manufacturer stated the problem was not covered. To say the least the response of the flooring manufacturer was unprofessional and discouraging. At this point Oneida Carpet chose to do what few businesses do today. They made the decision to honor the guarantee the flooring manufacturer wouldn't. Scott & Tara told us to come into the store and chose a new luxury vinyl floor and they would replace the cost of the new flooring. Today after many headaches we have a new kitchen floor that is completely quite when we walk on it and it looks beautiful. Oneida Carpet has chosen to no longer carry product by that flooring manufacturer. They do carry many brands that stand by their guarantee, just like they do. Thank you Judy Witchley & Mark Zieman
