They NEVER called to inform my on the progress of repairs, they NEVER returned any of my calls. After over an additional 11 weeks, finally one of the women that work there took my call, she said that nobody had actually worked on the vehicle, they simply took the front end apart to have a technician look at it but, that would not happen for another week, maybe longer, the owner was on vacation and work could not begin without him because he is the one that decides what needs to be done. Needless to say, I had the vehicle towed to a more reputable repair shop. Ever since Bill retired and left his business to his inept son, the shop is a joke. Even the woman that I spoke with stated that she doesn't understand how the York Auto Body stays in business. Run as far away from this horrible business. Customer service is something that they do not know or understand.

I decided to wait on the repair as I considered how to pay for it. After a couple of days spent pondering what to do, I decided to get some other repair quotes for comparison. My first stop was at Rick Yusi Automotive, who was referred to me by a friend plus their reviews were impressive. Not only was the repair quote less than half the cost of the original quote, but they did an amazing job replacing these critical safety parts. Additionally, while researching a check engine light warning, they discovered my gas cap was defective. Rocky called to tell me it might be the reason for the warning and asked if I wanted him to replace it. I told him to replace the gas cap and sure enough, no more check engine light. I expected that it would be an overnight turn around for the repair, given how busy they were, but imagine my surprise after dropping my car off in the morning to receive a call that it was finished by early afternoon. It's very hard to find service like this at such a great price. This will definitely be my new auto repair shop. I highly recommend Rick Yusi Automative for any and all repairs! They Rock!! The radiator was leaking and Miracle Auto Body was recommended by the Conrad's across the street from them when they could not do anything for the car. The car ended up needing a lot of work to replace the front end and the radiator. Miracle can be hard to find since it is a little shop tucked in behind other buildings on Detroit and the drive is off of Lakewood Ave. Just a little old school shop that has a small lot, but they do great work. Jim did a great job working with the claims rep for Progressive and coordinating the repair. Since it is a small shop they may not always answer the phone when you call, but they always got back to me with updates, pricing and where the process was. They were much better at keeping me apprised then Progressive was. While the car was in for the major repairs I also had them fix a rust spot and they priced out some other repairs; they were good about helping me to have the most important repairs done. With my schedule picking the car could have been challenging, but Miracle made it easy, they met me first thing in the morning with my car at the Lakewood Enterprise location and I drove back to the shop to finish the paperwork. The car looks incredible, the repairs are really well done. In addition they did a great job of cleaning up the interior of the car which was a really nice bonus. It is like I got a new car back from them. I would strongly recommend Miracle Auto Body as long as you can be a bit patient with the process of getting your car repaired. It is clear that they take pride in their work and it is great to support a local business.
