While other tree services will spend four or five hours removing a tree, M&W removed it in under an hour by lifting it straight up and sawing the base of the trunk. What a show! M&W also removed a large silver maple from our rear by sawing it into about seven sections. They used a boom truck (crane) to carry the large sections directly over our house. All the work was completed before lunch. All M&W management, administration, and labor were professional at all times.

We collected (4) quotes and were given different options from each one. Out of the (4) Heart of Wood came in with the overall best price and the best options. I met with Thomas and immediately knew I was working with someone that knew what they were doing. He looked over the trees and recommended we remove (2) and just trim one up. He was straight forward on our options. He provided several based on what we wanted to spend on the project. His company offered tree removing with no heavy equipment and no disturbance to the property which was exactly what we were looking for this in this project. My wife and I moved into a 70 year old house on a hill. The previous owners had done quite a bit of…read morework - french drain, waterproofing the basement, 3 sump pumps, steel beam reinforced walls - but we spotted some water along the basement wall. Tim came out to look at that and a bunch of other stuff (future work), and gave us a plan to resolve the immediate issues. On the inside, his guys came out and jackhammered along our foundation, installed a new system to collect and direct any water seeping through the wall to our existing sump pump discharge line, and laid new concrete. They even worked around a bit of a curveball without needing to deviate from the estimate. Outside, they dug a 22-ft trench and installed a french drain to alleviate the hydrostatic pressure on the basement wall, routed our HVAC condensate line into the french drain, installed 2 new window wells which allowed them to grade the yard away from the house, and installed another french drain on the far end of the garden to help mitigate the flash flooding we experience there. They finished up by laying fescue sod over the affected area, making it look nice and clean. All of the work was done in two days, with some minor cleanup work on the 3rd day after the concrete had cured in the basement. The price was good, the guys worked hard, the work was done on time, and the final product was excellent. We will be using them again for our retaining walls, landscaping, and whatever else comes our way.

At the end of that time, I can still say I'm thrilled that we went with Tony and his crew for this renovation. Not only because of the outcome of our space, but because of the communication that we received consistently through our work, and with the caliber of work I saw happen in my backyard! Tony and his crew transformed our back yard pool area into a retreat. Our pool is about 40 years old. I don't believe it had ever been resurfaced. We started there with Tony and his crew and as we talked about our vision for up there our design options grew. We opted to reconfigure the entire space around the pool, and Tony Was able to take our vision and make it happen!
