Ordered chile verde enchilada with rice and beans. Other members of my family ordered combination plates. Meat was cut in large chunks and rather bland in taste. Although plate was hot, food was warm. Tortilla fell apart as soon as I began cutting it. Rice and beans were lacking flavor too. On top of that, 20% gratuity added automatically for our party of 11. I'm not even sure there is running water inside. It has the same siding as the apartments behind it, so I wonder if it's ran by someone who lives there? Or if they cook in their home and bring it there? I have no idea. This seems very similar to Joey's Pizza in that as long as you close your eyes and don't pay attention to where your food is coming from, it'll be great. Food itself was quite tasty and enjoyable. I learned to make it myself in a Mexican restaurant, and theirs is exactly the same. Which I love, because I can get a single portion when I don't want to make it myself. Restaurant is tiny and really nothing special. But it works. It's still comfortable to sit and eat. Staff is friendly and kind, answered my questions. Prices are still reasonable, even with inflation. This is such an amazing small, local business to support. It's been in the same family for two generations now.
