    Apricot pistachio tarte

Simply the best. I love all the wonderful and delicious creations. From extravagant tartes to baguettes, croissants, and choux pastry. Everything tastes just so good and delicious. I can't get enough. Luckily, there are several of Eric Kayser's bakeries in Paris.

This place was basically around the block from the Holiday Inn Notre Dame where we're staying. We had a quiche ( we shared) an americano coffee, earl grey tea and 2 madeleines. Total 12.40 euros. Delicious. Reason for only 3 stars. Very rude. The guy behind the counter must have been trained by the German SS Sorry but that's how I felt.

    financier pistache - heavenly!

One of the best bakeries we ate at in Paris! The bread rolls are so simple yet so delicious. I highly recommend their olive rolls. The almond croissant and pain au chocolat are also really good here, both are so soft and buttery and not too sweet. Perhaps my absolute favorite item of theirs is the financier pistache - one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. It is soft and moist inside, with a perfectly crispy outside and the right amount of sweetness. Just divine! The service is not particularly friendly, but I suppose I will forgive them for that because the food is so good.

Now I usually don't really care that much for croissants, but this place has the best f@&#ing croissants I have ever tried. I would eat one literally every day if I could. Nice location close to d'Orsay and friendly staff.

They have a set formula for lunch that's 8.50 euro includes a baguette sandwich; choice of a few set desserts and a drink. There's also an express lunch formula with a baguette sandwich and drink for 5.70 euro. I had a good prosciutto, cheese and vegetable baguette sandwich - bread was lovely. The chocolate dessert tasted like a dense brownie even though it wasn't. Relatively inexpensive lunch in Paris. Staff speaks some English but don't have time to explain to you as it gets busy at lunch. There's only about 6 barstools available inside.

None finer than this for bread and croissant in the mornings. Framed bread highlights the walls.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
