Macarons are Americans Krispy Kreme! When in Paris there are many key food items to try and one of the most popular and favorite is the MACARON. Think of a mini Whoopie Pies (Cookie Cakes) with better than Oreo filling! These babies may be little but they are BURSTING with FLAVOR! The perfect sweet afternoon snack while shopping in this fun & funky area of Paris (There is a rad Vintage Clothing shop next door). Boulangerie Heurtier has much more to offer than Macarons and they are not famously known for them but take my advice "tourists"... this is where you want to grab yourself a few. Your normal "Disney Land" tourists will go to the famous Ladurée or Pierre Hermé for Macarons so they can parade around Paris showing off their fancy little box they spent a fortune on. Is that REALLY what you want? Why not go where the locals go and grab yourself some grade A Macarons for a much affordable price! Plus since they are so little..help yourself to like 12.. hate yourself later. ;-)

This place is awesome! It's hard to find a boulangerie that has seating, but this one has two areas, one downstairs and one upstairs, I'd suggest going upstairs and sitting by the window, which is great for people watching. My girlfriend enjoyed her pastries, but I was in heaven with a salmon sandwich with mushrooms. Very tasty and filling! Service was super slow at first, but it got better when it wasn't just one guy trying to serve the entire area.

My Cherie Amor Boulangerie Heurtier has all the baked goods I adore...this amazing Boulangerie was located right by our hotel in a great little square. This was the first and last thing I ate while in Paris. Everything was amazing and the staff was so helpful and kind. Just thinking about those crousaints and baggets makes my mouth water.

This a is a good spot if you need a quick and simple breakfast. Not many options other than pastry. Coffee is good.

Great croissant but he (the short guy) was very snooty to me and I think it's because I'm American,

Stayed in the Marais for a week and went here over and over. The financiers were outstanding, and we bought sandwiches for picnics.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
