Strawberry clafoutis
Ashley T.

Exploring boulangeries in Paris every morning was the highlight of my trip, and after finding Legay Choc, I didn't go to any other bakery! They have an amazing assortment of baked goods, pastries, as well as sandwiches. I highly recommend their croissants because not only are they huge, but they have the perfect crispy outside and buttery interior. The clafoutis are also a must-try if you're just visiting Paris, almost a mix between a flan and fruitcake that's filled with fresh fruit. Throughout my time in Paris, I could not get enough of Legay Choc's baguette sandwiches. They're freshly made every morning with their delicious baguettes. My favorites are the smoked salmon and the chicken, both of which include perfectly marinated fresh tomatoes and arugula. It's the ideal simple sandwich that's big enough for you to carry around on the streets of Paris, munching as you go!

Great croissants - both plain and the almond one. Definitely value for money and a rare find! :)

Tasty chocolate croissants, although I think there are better in the city. Worth popping into, though!

The poivrier sandwich was to die for! Croissant was good too but I've had better in Paris. Would definitely return & recommend

Best bakery I've ever been to. The Pain Suisse is now my all time favorite bakery item. The people…read morewere amazing and kind and the service was great as well!

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
