Root Note Studio showed me that learning to play was certainly within my capabilities and set me off on a path of learning I couldn't even have imagined before I started. Working with Liz and the other folks from RNS has enriched my life in so many ways. Not only can I now play guitar but I've learned a lot about how music works and I've made a ton of new friends in the process. I can't recommend them enough.

On several occasions when looking for strings, I've brought my filthy trash Bari Ukulele in and they string it up and clean it for me which is really cool. Today I got myself a Tenor Guitar and wanted to put it in "Chicago Tuning," but in my haste to tune it, I broke a string after having it out of the box for all of 3-5 minutes (everything I touch breaks!) I immediately put on my coat and drove over to University Music. The wonderful woman behind the counter is always as kind as can be, and willing to help when I come in with all of my issues. Love this place. (If you are a Bari Uke player and have not tried a Tenor Guitar, put it on your bucket list. This thing is fucking fun. I've not put it down since I came home, excepting while writing this review. Thank you University Music, you're the best music store around.)

It has always been my dream to incorporate my grandmother's rings into my wedding. The rings hold…read morenot only sentimental value but also represent the love and commitment my grandparents shared. With that in mind, I brought her engagement ring and wedding band to Hampstead Jewelers, seeking to have them resized and to explore options for replicating my grandmother's wedding band so that I could proudly wear all three rings--a complete three-ring wedding set--on my special day. When I returned to pick up the rings, I was truly blown away by the exceptional craftsmanship they displayed in replicating my grandmother's wedding band. The intricate details, from the delicate engravings to the polished finish, were executed with such precision that the replica looked almost identical to the original. This level of attention to detail far exceeded any experience I have had with other jewelers I've visited in the past. Hampstead Jewelers is a family-owned and operated business, and you can immediately feel the warmth and welcoming atmosphere as soon as you step inside. They all greet you with genuine smiles and takes the time to listen carefully to your ideas and desires. They are not just about selling jewelry; they are passionate about helping you realize your vision for the perfect ring. Whether you have a specific design in mind or need guidance in creating one, they are dedicated to making your dream ring a reality. In addition to their custom designs, they offer an impressive selection of handmade jewelry that showcases both creativity and craftsmanship. Each piece tells a story, and you can sense the care that goes into creating every item. I wholeheartedly recommend Hampstead Jewelers to anyone looking for beautiful, meaningful jewelry, especially if you want something that honors family traditions like I did.
