I am a beginner so seeing the reviews that their are no guitars for beginners is just not true. What is true is they do not sell $250 guitars that will break any beginners groove in about a week. I got a Martin guitar for less than $750 bucks, Joe also gave me a discount code without me asking for it. I was astonished And I should say every time that I bought a guitar there I felt uncomfortable. but at the time they were really the only game in town for Taylor guitars. I don't know if it's changed, but I heard that the guy that used to work at the front is part of ownership so I'm not sure anything's changed. The individual was not particularly friendly. I felt sorry for him in a way - kind of a dour dude. I hope for new folks going there it has warmed up a bit. i'm a southern boy and not originally from Massachusetts but it get kind of cold up here if you know what I mean.
