Told me she was getting frustrated with me. Very rude people. I don't even feel safe taking my daughter here. but there's not one good review on here and I now see why.

Well, another day and another failed attempt to get a peaceful night's sleep…read more I was awake again around 4:30 as a result of the pain in my jaw from the 2nd bone graft that my oral surgeon performed on Monday. After the tooth extraction and bone graft in February, I developed a dry socket and had immense amounts of pain for almost 3 weeks. I'd heard people talk about dry sockets before but just thought they were being wimps. I mean I have a very high tolerance for pain but this type of continual, throbbing pain can truly just wear you down over a couple of weeks. After the initial procedure in February and the dry socket developed, my surgeon told me that because of the bone graft there was nothing they could do except give me pain meds which I refuse to take for more than 24 hours. I went back last week thinking that I was going to get my post installed for my implant but my surgeon told me that the bone graft didn't work so he needed to do another one. I agreed (what choice did I have) but was assured that there would be minimal pain afterward because there was no extraction this time. Immediately after I arrived home on Monday after the procedure I was already in severe pain. My wife called the surgeon's office and was assured that I should have minimal pain and there was almost zero chance for a dry socket with this procedure. Well, here we are less than a week later, and I've got another dry socket and unrelenting pain again. I did everything they told me to do (just as I did the 1st time) so there's no way this is on me. Plus the fact that I was already in so much pain immediately after the procedure leads me to believe that there was an issue with his work from the outset. So I've had 2 surgical procedures now by Dr. Morrow, including a failed bone graft, two dry sockets, and immense pain after both procedures. I am at a total loss. I really just don't know if Dr. Morrow doesn't know what he's doing, is in too big of a hurry and just half-asses his work (the 2nd bone graft took less than 10 minutes total), or if he just doesn't really give a damn about his patients. Regardless, I'm going back to his office on Monday, demanding a refund of the $1900 I paid for the post that was never installed, and canceling any further work by him or his office. This is absolutely unacceptable. At this point I'd rather just live with a hole where my tooth was than to risk any more botched work by Dr. Morrow and the resulting pain that comes with it. And I can honestly say that this is the 1st time in my life that I've ever felt like I've been completely failed by someone in the medical field. Anyway, my advice is that if anyone ever suggests that you get an implant just tell them "no thanks" and get a bridge instead. And if your dentist ever refers you to Dr. Morrow's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Offide here in Lexington for any oral surgery, you better turn and run as far away as you can in the opposite direction.

I took time out of my day for a consultation at KY Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and returned for a…read morescheduled procedure, but ultimately decided not to go through with it due to the unprofessionalism I experienced. From the start, the front desk staff was extremely rude--talking down to me, acting cold and dismissive, and being unnecessarily sassy both times I was there. It felt like they viewed patients as an inconvenience rather than people seeking care. The doctor was no better. When I asked reasonable questions about the procedure--like what exactly would be done while I was unconscious--he became **cold, defensive, and completely lacked empathy**. Instead of taking the time to reassure me and explain things properly, he acted as if my concerns were a personal attack. That was a huge red flag. I ultimately decided to walk away from the surgery because I refuse to put my health in the hands of a doctor who doesn't respect their patients. A good surgeon should be willing to explain procedures without defensiveness and show at least **basic** compassion. I do not recommend this office to anyone who expects to be treated with professionalism and respect.

After being pushed and pulled along the "select a physician" drop down menu of my absolutely…read moreuseless personal insurance website, I found Bluegrass Periodontics. I had a large gum recession that I wanted to have corrected - I had been told by two other dentists that I would eventually need to have a gum tissue graft in order to do so and finally was able to afford this procedure. When I called the office of Dr. Elliot Neuman, reception was friendly and extremely helpful. Turns out, my insurance wouldn't cover any of my expenses towards this procedure (I told you, useless), however Bluegrass Periodontics gives you a hefty discount for simply having insurance at all. Reception went out their way to contact my insurance and confirm their coverage - every office should be so helpful (that process is so frustrating and tiresome). Soon after returning my call, we were able to setup a date for consultation and procedure in the same visit, seeing as I already knew this was a necessary procedure and had a referral for the problem area. Dr. Neuman and his dental assistant were both welcoming, warm, and friendly. I was seen almost immediately and felt very comfortable. The procedure itself went by smoothly. I have no dental anxiety whatsoever, so I was numbed up pretty highly, but not put under. This is an option if you need it. I'll save the descriptive story for in-person inquiries because dental procedures are subjective (people, please stay off WedMD). Overall, Dr. Neuman was considerate, comforting, and quick. We had two followup visits to make sure my gums were healing up nicely - they did and they look fabulous. So happy with Bluegrass Periodontics and would highly recommend!
