Humiliation!
I had a tooth removed on 5/19/23. I am still in pain and infected, weeks later. Over the Memorial day weekend the infection and pain grew. I reached out to their emergency telephone number. I was heading to the ER when i finally received a return call. Issue was, Dr. Kleier had not prescribed me enough anti-biotics to prevent or care for the infection. More anti-biotics (double the original dose) and steroids prescribed.
I thought it was improving until yesterday. Returned to work yesterday and late afternoon the pain and swelling had come back. I called the office and left a voice mail as the office had closed at 2:00. I explained that i was still in pain and that i now had the bad breath that they had inquired about several times. The office called back today and said, Dr. Kleier said to come in at 10:00. I left work and went to the office. Shortly after being placed in the exam chair...I could hear Dr. Kleier talking loudly about me. She was telling her staff she was not going to see me. She said, "I told her she needs to see an oral surgeon." I asked her staff member, "why have me leave work and come in if she wasn't going to see me?" Dr. Kleier then came in the exam room yelling at me. She said, "I told you I was not touching you anymore; you need to see an oral surgeon" I again try to explain that you and your office told me to come in today. Why have me come in if you were not going to even look at it. She yelled, "because you said you were dying". I never said that. I explained that my voice mail explained this was not an emergency and could wait until they could get me in (or complete the referral). Again yelling, she said, "But I told you i was not touching it anymore." Issue is, you should have communicated that to YOUR team. They could and should have called back with the referral information and not advise me to come in.
She was angry and yelling at me like i was a child. All regarding issues that were due to her mistakes. Dr. Kleier was literally throwing an grown woman temper tantrum. I am so grateful to God that i have grown and matured over the years. As the tears rolled down my face, i am glad HE kept me...as this could have ended badly. I have never had a provider, THAT I AM PAYING, be so disrespectful and unprofessional.
This was not my first issue with Dr. Kleier; but it will be my last. You would think after this many years in the business she would have learned how to communicate professionally.
I came in with mouth pain; left with the same pain, disgust and humiliation.
Disappointing and sad!
