Though we were new acquaintances, he was able to work me in quickly, and, while I felt very self conscious, no one blinked an eye when I came in shortly after. The assistant brought me back, took an x-ray, and swiftly got me into a room. Additionally x-rays were taken, the doctor came in almost immediately and got to work. He knew my concerns and checked in frequently. I could NOT have asked for better, more professional care. Before agreeing to move forward, I specifically asked that the office verify my insurance coverage because I wasn't sure I could afford the device otherwise. I was told my insurance would cover it and that my out-of-pocket cost would be approximately $133. Based on that information, I paid the portion they requested that day. At my next appointment, I was told I had not made that payment and was asked to pay again. After spending time searching their records, the staff eventually found my previous payment. I requested that my paperwork and receipt be corrected to reflect the payment, but I was told that wasn't necessary. The process was delayed further because I was told the lab had made the device incorrectly, requiring new impressions and additional appointments. Eventually, I received the appliance and was told everything fit properly and that no further appointments related to the device were needed. The very next morning, I received a phone call informing me that my insurance had denied the claim and that I now owed $867.60. I was told that the original amount I had been quoted was "only an estimate." Since then, I have received multiple bills and collection calls despite explaining that I relied on the financial information provided by the office before agreeing to treatment. When I visited the office to try to resolve the issue, the office manager said that the problem resulted from unsuccessful attempts to contact me. However, I have no voicemail messages or text messages from the office regarding this issue--only payment reminders. She also told me that I should have waited to speak to her instead of the claims specialist I spoke with earlier who said she would handle the issue but did not. Not only did she not apologize or take any responsibility for the problem, she rolled her eyes and sighed several times, continuing to put the blame back on to me. What concerns me most is that a coworker reported having the same experience. They also requested that insurance be verified before treatment, were given an estimated patient responsibility, and were later billed for a much higher amount after services had already been completed. My advice to anyone considering treatment here is to verify your benefits directly with your insurance company before agreeing to any procedure or device. Do not rely solely on the financial estimates provided by the office. My experience with the billing process, communication, and handling of this situation has been extremely disappointing.

I feel like a family member before I feel like a patient. They care, they actually care about you and the health of your teeth. Not what you can afford or your insurance covers or how much they can charge. I think Dr. Nelson is the first Dentist I've meet who actually loves their job, and that influences the staff as well. As for the actual dental work they are professionals and artist as well. Their shot administering abilities are bar none. I feel like I should press assault charges against everyone else thats ever given me a shot in my mouth compared to Dr. Nelson and Robin. I never knew it can be painless! They take their time and do things right with the least amount of discomfort to the patient. Fillings with no residual pain at all. Tooth extractions that were quick easy with little to no residual pain. On a personal note, I have PTSD and doctor visits have always been a high anxiety experience for me. But its different here. They connect with you and you can tell they genuinely care. The whole office is calm comforting and reassuring which is the perfect environment for my PTSD. Its almost meditative for me, therapeutic. And insurance representative contacted me to find out why the work was not done and let me know that I was not supposed to pay anything that Broadway dentistry did not properly code the procedure therefore I was charged she even contacted them to let them know this and that the procedure was never done cannot be done because of problems that should have been identified before the bridge was molded I had to have a tooth pulled because of horrible pain and infection so the procedure could not be done, yet they still refuse to give me back my money. They have come up with every excuse in the book as the reason why they will not give me back my money. A representative from my insurance company even called them and told them that there is no legal reason for them to hold on to my money it should be given back and their manager Terry still refuse to give me back my money. Every excuse he made the representative from Aetna insurance company tore down and let him know that was not my money. I am a 63-year-old widow already struggling 425 May not seem like much to some to just throw to the wind with no results but it's not something that I can afford to just throw it to the wind with no results. And I will not silently sit by and let this company take advantage of me just because they feel they can.

First, it looks like you are going into your own home (or maybe your grandmothers home) because it is a beautiful house located on Walton Avenue in downtown Lexington. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and "at home", which also meant feeling at ease. I have a very low tolerance for pain and I have always been uncomfortable around dentists, but not this one. They even offered nitrous oxide to put me more at ease when they were working in my mouth. If you are looking for a dentist, please look no further-you have found the best and at very affordable prices. Oh and remember, good dentistry is not expensive... lack of good dentistry is!
