That other place closed seemingly overnight it seems (I'm not surprised). I'd gone to a place closer to home, but didn't care for one of the employees, so I set an appointment for today with Dr R. What a great atmosphere. And the new hygienist (well, new to me), Amy, she was AWESOME. Icing on the cake was that I apparently don't need a root canal like I thought & that even with my dental training & my slight neglect, my teeth/gums are in overall good condition (yay, I can chant at the FCC match tomorrow ). I came in with a broken filling and they failed to remove all the bad tooth material before replacing the filling which CAUSED ME to need a full root canal and crown after a week of excruciating and unnecessary pain (probably a month after the filling was replaced). And the last thing is how I was treated by the office manager. I have never been treated so terribly by someone in my entire life. When I came in and stood up for myself, refusing to pay anything for them to replace the filling that barely lasted two weeks, this woman practically threatened to not allow them to fix my tooth for free because I was already going to another dentist. AND NOW my new dentist has informed me that the crown placed over my root canal is entirely fitted improperly and needs to be removed and replaced. I am out SO MUCH MONEY and these people did nothing but DAMAGE MY TEETH and TAKE MY MONEY. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Most night guards, crowns, retainers , etc can be made without the need for traditional impression materials. The saying " a picture is worth a 1000 words" holds true when you see a leaking filling or a fractured tooth on the screen when a special intra-oral camera is used during the exam. Maybe best of all, dental injections can be avoided when cavities are diagnosed and treated early using the dental laser. Everyone in the office is knowledgeable and caring.
