The food is good. You could put a Milio's, Erbs and Gerbs and a Jimmy Johns with the same fillings in front of me and I could take a bite of each and have no idea which came from where. That torn out bread E&G gives you is my favorite and gives them a leg up. I love the bread here. You don't realize how big the regular sandwich is until you get a half sandwich in the combo with soup. My half a sandwich was like 4 bites. I got the macaroni and cheese and it was bland and maybe a bit pasty. But if the soups are good it could be a good deal to get a little variety. Good cheesesteak sandwich, and I like many of the cold sandwiches. Could use a little more flavor, like at least the option of salt and pepper on the sandwich. Maybe I missed it, it seems odd they wouldn't offer that. I always order online and the orders have always been finished on time and correctly. The staff is friendly and the store looks clean. My only complaint is there isn't one closer to me but it's less than 10 miles and on the way past many other places I go. read more

I had a scrumptious lunch at this sandwich shop in St. Paul, MN on April 8, 2024. I requested the chicken soup with rice and a club roll with Turkey breast, provolone, avocado, lettuce and tomato. I never ate a soup like that before and it was just superb. The sandwich was also delicious/flavorful and quite filling. We ordered here for lunch, and the delivery was very fast. I ordered the Tullius which is a roast beef sandwich and wild rice soup. My sandwich was nicely packaged, but my little cup of soup was pretty tiny. Tiny but tasty. It was good but the whole time I was thinking I could have gone to Festival and had better soup and picked up a sandwich from the deli. There was also very little provolone cheese. Not enough to taste it with the bread and meat. Festival doesn't deliver though and we were sort of crunched for time and it was raining. I was disappointed though my sandwich looked nothing like the picture. NOTHING! I was very sad about this. See posts. Very sad. read more

I have liked Erberts and Gerberts since going to college in the 1990's and eating at them in St Cloud. They have quirky names and a nice selection and great bread. They don't add sprouts anymore due to e coli scares. If you live in Bloomington there are local coupons to get free chips and drink with a sub. They also have a rewards program card also. This location is on the corner and hard to see. It's mainly takeout but there are high top tables with bar stools to sit on. I have not tasted the soup so No comment. I did not like the Seafood Neptune one as it was too messy. read more

Nothing special about this place unless you like cold sandwiches with minimal flavor. I got the "northern cheesesteak" my friend ordered the flash. The cheesesteak was more of a French dip sandwich, and by that I mean it was super soggy ! The meat sits in a hot well and when laid on the bread all the juices soak right in. You could barely taste any cheese or onions and peppers on the sandwich. I tried half of my friends sandwich the" flash" and surprisingly it was better. But still lacked in flavor due to the minimal amount of toppings put on. Tomatoes and oil and vinegar seemed to be the only topping applied on generously. We also tried the chicken tortilla soup. It was pretty good, but also cost nearly $5 bucks for one cup! Subs were pricey too $8 bucks for what looks to be a 8inch sub. Overall I would not recommend this location/restaurant. Based on the value and quality or product. Cheesesteak sub: 1 out of 5 stars Flash sub: 3 out of 5 stars (that's my Friends opinion/I personal think is a 1star. But I may be biased caused I like hot subs with bold flavor) Chicken tortilla soup: 3 out of 4 stars S/N the cashier was awesome though. I have eaten here a few times. As a whole, the food here is worse than other stores in this chain. Customer service is good and everyone I have encountered on the phone and in store has been patient and pleasant. I will drive a little further and get something from a different Erbs and Gerbs in the future. If they can find a way to fix the actual food in a way where it is edible, I'll be back! Like in other reviews, I will always miss the St. Cloud branch. There is just something about a Narmer after a hard night of drinking that isn't the same since I have left the St. Cloud area. read more

This place isn't deserving of all these low ratings. They are fast, friendly and the sandwiches are good. Definetly taste better than Jimmy John's. Cookies aren't that good and wish the selection was a little more vast but overall I like them a lot, especially considering you don't have to spend $15-$20+ to order delivery. read more

My co worker has ordered here many times and had delivered to our work 6.1 miles away in Burnsville. I called today to place an order for 3 people, I was turned away and said no they will not deliver here. Horrible customer service on the phone. NOT IMPRESSED!!! read more

Such a horrible place, all the employees have horrible customer service skills... they advertise gluten free options and had only frozen gluten free bread. No way to thaw them out, and on top of that the gluten free breads are 1/2 the size of regular breads and costs more?!? When we asked for help or to have an explanation the kid working had no idea how to explain it and was talking towards the back of shop and not to us? Maybe businesses should have at least one person working who knows what they are doing, or how to manage the rest of employees. Never going back and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was rather disappointed as I had to order eight sandwiches so I called in early. I talked to the manager who told me to call in at 10:30 when it opened to place my order. When I did that, the person who answered the phone said they had multiple catering orders and said it would take 2 hours before we would get it. (I needed my order in an hour.) Since that wasn't acceptable for us, I called Jimmy Johns nearby and it wasn't a problem for them to get my order in and delivered when I needed it. read more

Horrible customer service about their delivery area. I have been ordering for several weeks when at work, and they deliver here thru foodsby orders but I miss that time due to the time I get in. (they said they make exceptions for foodsby) So I call into make my normal order and some manager on a high horse says I cant order Bcuz i'm out of range, So I explain I have been ordering for weeks and she is like oh some of the drivers will take the orders but are not suppose to. But then she is like, ok you can order but just so you know if we are real busy we may not be able to deliver so i'm like ok that's fine. Then I call the following week and they are like your account is noted to not deliver to you? NO MATTER HOW great of a product you have BAD management and Bad customer service can and will kill your business. I will never order from them again nor will buy in spite of this service I received.
