A few years back (before COVID-19), I spent an afternoon at the Dundee area tasting room. That experience needed to be more robust, and the staff were rude and slow. Fast-forward to 2023 at the Pearl tasting room... and what an incredible experience! When you enter from the street, you are greeted with a warm ambience, plants, and quiet music that beckons you to the service counter. I was impressed with the design of the space and the curated seating areas, which all seemed to be slightly different. The team (clearly) put immense care into a space that adapts to different needs, experiences, and potential guests. After being seated, the staff was fantastic. Since this was my first time here, they spent a ton of time explaining possible experiences, and we ended up settling for the blind-tasting expertise and one of the AVA flights. This was a phenomenal experience since your palette opens up to learn more about the wines, varietals, and more with this double tasting. They have a perfectly executed food menu (in my opinion) that also welcomes you to try new foods and diets, especially when considering the Vegan Caviar... which is fantastic. Several food items would work for an array of people, showing the care and attention to detail the staff must have taken to create a space for everyone. I enjoyed the Willikaia Chardonnay the most, so I did leave with a few bottles, given that summer is around the corner. My only recommendation would be to add patio seating or to open up to the large windows and doors more often when the weather is pleasant. I look forward to returning with friends when folks come to visit. Thank you, Erath!

My partner and I have belonged to the Erath cellar society since we moved to Portland two years ago. The wine flights are unparalleled and particularly the tasting bites that come with the cellar society limited release each quarter. Although they specialize in Pinot noir-- which they do exceptionally-- they have a tart Chardonnay that refreshes your taste for the Oakes alternatives in California. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the interior is cozy and inviting. If you're feeling a bit peckish I'd highly recommend their boards. The vegan board is my favorite with locally made dairy free alternatives.

I truly enjoyed my time tasting at this location, the wines were great, service and aesthetics. I would return again for sure, it's great for a girls day or a date.

The new tasting room is beautiful! It's cozy and comfortable, has bar seating, a few tables and couch areas, as well as some private event spaces. We sat at the bar and ordered the Pino Nior tasting (of course) and the charcuterie board. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable and ended up pouring us some off menu wines for us to sample. Fair prices and a great membership program Cannot wait to go back with some girlfriends!

Came here to sit at the bar and read on a weekend- ordered a glass of Pinot from their "on tap" selection. The wine was okay, but I was charged $20 for a 4oz pour. As industry this seemed a little off, but you're better off grabbing a bottle of Erath from Safeway for $11 and enjoying it at home/a park nearby.

Incredible service, beautifully crafted wines, delicious food options, and the whole environment of the tasting room was so welcoming and rustic. It felt like a New York loft with very knowledgeable staff. I work in the wine industry in southern Oregon and have not had service this impressive in a very long time. Will absolutely come back! Huge shout out to our server Claire for an unforgettable experience!

Wow! Absolutely love this spot! We had the Wine Tasting Flight & Vegan Cheese Board, made with "cheese" from the local vegan cheese shop. All wines here are also vegan. Make sure to make a reservation so you can get your own comfy chair and couch area. However, it seems the reservation ends after about 2 hours, which we weren't aware of, so just plan accordingly and maybe look at the menu before you arrive. Really lovely atmosphere and would love to come back.

I came with my friends who are club members for a tasting for my birthday. Everything was super tasty, and the service was fantastic. We were all well spaced and thoughtfully attended to throughout the tasting. The space was quite airy and had lots of neat art. All of the wine was very good. I appreciated the perfect cheese pairings as well. Fun place to go to try some high quality wine!

Beautiful grounds, good wine. Pinot Gris, Pinot blanc, Chardonnay and lots of Pinot Noir. The lady who poured our tastings was wonderful! She brought the tastings out so we could enjoy the gorgeous view. Regular tasting is $10, premium is $15. We chose regular as it had more white options. The lady was kind enough to pour me an additional tasting of pinot noir rose which ended up being my fav! You can also get a cheese and meat platter for $15.

This was a first for me to visit a winery. The experts were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were patient with novices. We enjoyed learning about the wine making process. We liked all the wine choices and left with our special bag. :)

FYI: the charcuterie vending machine was temporary, and they are now back to an a la carte charcuterie board menu. I had a tasting flight, and enjoyed the depth of flavors and variety in the wines -- lots of unique and beautiful fruit notes! I ordered the vegan balsamic cheese and OMG!!! Soooo creamy and delicious!! I also ordered the mushroom jerky -- well worth it! It's not as tough as beef jerky, which makes it easier to eat. And the flavor is bomb -- definitely tastes like mushrooms and jerky mixed together. The kind lady working the business on the day we visited gave me extra complimentary crackers and apricots. :) She was absolutely wonderful, and it's safe to say the service here was top notch. It was an unusually cold day in Portland (just after their unprecedented snowstorm this year!), so the seating room was crazy cold. That's my only complaint. Lol Highly recommend this business, and hope to go back for more vegan cheese and jerky when I can!

It's been a hot minute since I have had a cider from them but the cider I just finished enjoying was none other than Elvira's Currant Obsession. This was a currant cider and a type I don't believe I have had before. I have had currants before but it was when I was quite young and we had a currant bush in my grandmother's yard on the family ranch. We would grab some for a snack which was always good. I remember them being a tad tart. This cider in contrast us fairly sweet and while it was good I tend to go for more dry ciders. But Elvira was on the label and how can you not love Elvira? She's in season anytime of the year. But anyway the flavor highlights for a kind of less common berry is the red currant( or on the bottle it says Black Currant) , apple and sweetness. Tartness is there as well as dryness but it definitely is more subdued. And it makes sense since this is a berry cider. At any rate it was good to revisit Bauman's Cider again and thank you for tuning into another one of my Yelp reviews...unpleasant dreams! *cue the sinister laughing and more creepy organ music*
